This is hands down the best explanation thus far thank you so much, I have been stressing about our problem toilets for weeks now until we can get them replaced but not knowing the small logistics of how it all works was so anxiety inducing and you finally answered my questions.

Very educational! I just missed the animation on the TIMING of air entry on the vent which prevented the remaining water on the bowl from being siphoned off towards the pipe.

What an amazing demonstration!

Note that what is being described is an American type siphon flush toilet and is not the kind common in india. In India almost all of the toilets are of European washdown type. This kind typically has no siphon jet ( although a few have siphon jets ) and the trapway ( outlet from the bowl ) is horizontal ( no siphon effect ). Standstill water level will be lower ( poop tends to get exposed to air before the flush - and hence they tend to be smellier) American type tend to have a much narrower ( diameter ) trapways when compared to the European washdown type, which initiates the siphon effect for smaller volume of water

All were good except, the siphon jet and rim side piping layout not clearly explained. Since I'm now experiencing a low flush flow and waste doesn't gets flushed without externally pouring a mug of water

From 5:50min, if the water in the toilet bowl doesn’t got sucked out very fast, what could be the problem? Could toilet bowl design that doesn’t hold enough water to initiate the siphon effect be the problem? I have checked that nothing got stuck in the tube. This problem occurs after changing the toilet bowl.
