I love how you are doing 0-60 real world tests not just what’s on paper. It’s good to see because so many other car youtubers neglect this and you can’t get an idea as to how fast the car actually is! Keep up the great content!!

Jamie, just an idea... Why not organise a day with ppl to bring their modded cars and have a 0-60 day... I'd defo be up for that.

Keeping the mods sensible and watching the old purse strings. Perfect little track toy, daily runner. Smart purchase Jamie! These are all the things I'll be telling my mrs to justify buying one myself!!

Straight to Stage 3! Say what.... Thoroughly enjoying watching this build progress and well done Jamie for revisiting the 0-60 with the fez and smashing that 7 second marker ;)

Former st3 owner... Press and hold ESC button for traction control completely off 😁 sport mode still has traction control slightly on

christopher caci I had an ST-3 with the sat nav built in system, on that i would hold down the ESC button for about 5 seconds and the screen would tell me traction control was OFF, not in sport mode... So you have an ST-2 then? 😊

It would be cool if you had a front camera on the car during these 0-60s. So that we can see the acceleration in a POV shot. The shot could switch between your face and the road during the 0-60 btw just bought the hoodie your wearing in the vid, looks sick !

Jamie man, love the Fiesta! One of my personal favorite subcompacts. I highly... highly... highly recommend doing a track day though before lots more mods except maybe better tires. With a bit of seat time you'll find yourself hunting down MUCH more powerful cars at track days. You'll gain a whole new appreciation for vehicle's abilities while growing your own.

I am defo looking forward to where you will take this car!

Really enjoy your vids, especially the 0 - 60's. Minimising first gear wheel spin in front wheel drive cars is the trick. It's more manageable with an auto box, but I usually find that keeping your foot down on the accelerator pedal between gear shifts, even with a manual box, keeps the turbo spinning fast and keeps the revs in the power band even in NA cars! Give it a try 😉. Cheers, Jon.

stage 3... that really is full send hahah. i just picked up a milltek sport cat for my ST today, intercooler and induction kit next, then stage2r! 6.5 is pretty good like you say with trash tyres, already looking forward to the next one!

@Kris Nicholson true! pumaspeed is who im with, so their stage2r package should push 250bhp. fairly confident every stage 3 package out there will be considerably more than that so Jamie really is going full send haha

Best I did with my ST200 on dry is 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. No tune, only Mountune intake & exhaust, and short shifter. Honestly the short shifter is most likely the best performance upgrade to get started for any manual car. The faster you can change gears the fast you can accelerate. Now my tires are starting to be worn out (Hankooks). time for Michelins and Ford performance wheels. the performance wheels are actually 0.9 KG lighter than the stock ST wheels.

@@neovenom9833 thats impressive, im running hankooks as well so in the same boat. 6.2 is big! under 6 with the michelins..! been looking at short shifters this week! who did you get yours from? see so many sites have them at different prices but surely they all do the same thing lol

Fiesta ST-2 Owner here, Mountune MP215, res delete, intake kit, high flow hoses, Eibach lowering springs and new PS4'S I have had it at 6.3 0-60. I had landsail and evergreens on when I bought it and the difference between budget and the PS4's is incredible.

I thought about going through each stage but instead I went straight to stage 3 Cobb after having my 2014 FiST for a year. It made a world of difference and has made it even more fun and enjoyable

i had a molten orange ST-3 with a simple bluefin superchips map on it, awesome little thing it went really well. fantastic on fuel (compared to most of my cars) and was a great daily driver. was very close to getting a mountune diff fitted, but ended up swapping it for a mk7 golf R. luckily though, my mrs has bought a mk8 fiesta ST :)

I have an ST200 with a revo stage 1 was running 232 before hardware now running 240 running an airtec induction got me a pretty good increase just with that. It is surprising what you can get out of these engines with such little hardware installed. (before anyone says an induction kit cannot gain that much yeah it can, even says on the site what is to be expected)

Totally agree with you on the Bilsteins. I have them on my C63 and they’ve pretty much dialled out all of the crash-iness from the stock stuff, have given it better turn-in and have it feeling flat and stable at high speed. One of the most dramatic changes I’ve made to the car aside from a supercharger, very recommended.

Kris Nicholson Struts. The 204 was never an airmatic model, and you wouldn’t remove two turbo’s to fit a supercharger 😃

Kris Nicholson To be honest I don’t really know much about the factory air system on some models but, from what I’ve heard high speed stability isn’t as good as a Coilover at high speed.

Kris Nicholson It’s hard to say what the best route is. I’d be inclined to just leave it if you’re not going to take it to the track, and I mean Audi know how to build an RS. My dad has an E55 with airmatic and that’s plenty fast, stable and comfy but it is a big boat. Fitting coilovers to mine made it feel about 200kg lighter. The weight of the C63 is its downfall, I mean it’s brutal anyway but imagine a 1400kg one! So, these combined with tuning have made it feel light and nimble, even though it isn’t really. Some chassis bracing helped too. Now it’s not far behind and M4 in the corners, but going straight it rips everything.

These little pocket rockets are highly underrated. Nice vid Jamie as always 💯

@@mattws5784 all fords are quite slow especially STs. But having said that the fez STs are far from underrated... They are highly rated universally as one of the greatest hot hatches.

@@mattws5784 there fast with full bolt ons. Meaning with a hybrid/bigger turbo. They can be fast for very cheap. I got a few rides a fiesta st is one its got a x47r turbo making 313whp and gutted. Its a fast as my cousins lightly modded 17 mustang 5.0 426hp. You say it dont deserve the St badge but the fiesta st just broke in the 10s in the1/4 mile with a stock block and the focus st hasnt yet.

Get rid of the ditch finders 👍🏻

Roll restrictor and quick shifter are a must on these! Help put the power down so much better

Maybe consider changing the rear engine mount. It will correct the tyre spinning/hopping when launching. I did it on my ST and I'm getting better launches

michelin PS4 tyres are so good for sports hatchbacks and in the wet as well. i use them on my fiesta st and everyone recommends them in the fiesta forums

Do you think the results would’ve been better if you had some sort of launch control?

Can you see you shifting timed on the acceleration graph on draggy .it looks like you can take half to 1 second off with faster shifts ? Are you worried you will break the box if you shift to hard?

Jamie my fiesta st180 is at stage one, running very similar bhp to you and I got a 6.2 0 - 60mph, conditions were perfect for it, but I know that car is capable of more

Changed the gearbox and upgrading the clutch too? That isn't a stage 1 without hardware is it? Or was the gearbox broken?

This is why i love racing fwd cars, my rwd car with the same hp numbers does 0-60 in 6,5 seconds in the rain

Certain maps raise the rev limit to over 7k and then you can reach a genuine 60 in 2nd gear. Cuts out one gear change which is probably around half a second off power for most people.

Got a 1 series 118i but the tyres love to slide about in comfort and sport mode...Even span out off a roundabout and hit a lamppost at 20mph accelerating into a slip road to the A1....Any recommended tyres for it?

Should try getting a SEAT Ibiza Cupra 1.4 Twincharged to compare against the ST, I'd love to see the comparisons between the two cars, since i own a cupra myself

What app are you using to time the 0-60 Jamie? I’ve used a few but they’re all been rubbish.

I'd say a little bit of the that is the short gears , civic EP3 type r has a taller 2nd and with the longer rev range helps the 0-60 if you didn't have that 3rd gear change they would be mid 6s 🤔

my 1.0 ecoboost gear box is fucked. only goes into second when i rev match (only downshifting, up shifting all gears are fine) but its ruined the driving coz when i wanna down shift before a corner its annoying and the pedals are further back.
