Honest review as always! 🙏🏽
Amazing review 👌. Joe's voice and intonation changed as he flipped through the driving modes. Real-life review, no sugar coating, simply brilliant!👍

Love the ‘range’ uploads, hopefully more to come. You make a fairly unexciting subject very watchable 👍🏼

That thing is stunning!
Love the range anxiety at the end. For that money it's it's fully loaded B3 Alpina wagon with change for a few tanks of fuel. Well done. Overtaking or not , when it's wet and twisty the laws of physics will start to assert their authority.
Hey Joe, been watching your channel since early days. You reviews are now top quality.... well done - good to see 👏👏🙏👍

Great review bro. Seeing so many more e-trons on the road and even several sportbacks now too.
I enjoyed watching the Video. One of my favourite Electric Vehicles
Great video and nice to see that your site is growing, keep it up and keep it real ;)
Finally, a true auto enthusiast voicing his honest opinion about EVs. Great review. If and when I do buy one it won’t be a Tesla.
I do love the Audi E-tron! This is a great review Joe! Keep up the good work!

Great review Joe! Your view on EVs is refreshing. They are great, and the coming technology, but perhaps only in the next 3 - 4 years will they be irresistible.
Great video as always. Real life test.

Excellent that you cover luxury EVs now, in such a beautiful scenery, with your enthusiasm I’m loving so much. Makes me aware what I missed in my many business trips to UK. Driving dynamics is the only thing I miss much. I would love to hear from you, how you see the difference between the Taycan and the etron GT, as I lust for one?
Nice one joe 👌

Hi Joe, great review as usual. Electric not for me, great tech and all but way too much planning and faffing about! BTW all thanks to you, I ordered my M340d today, gonna be a long 6 months wait but worth it! Keep up the excellent work

Haha awesome, an M340d is the pinnacle of car technology in 2021, an EV is what the government want us to think is the ultimate.... 😉
Great review Joe, would be good to see a comparison in the winter. As you say, not quite there yet with the EV's but no doubt the range will increase in time
Audi are producing the best looking EVs
im now subscribed, joe!
Another informative video Joe, which really does help viewers who are looking to invest in an EV.

Wife just gave me the company car list and this is on it. I think this will work for her 10 mile commute just fine and there's already a charging point in the house we just moved to. I've driven a 2019 model a while back and liked it quite a bit but had decided there's not enough range as your only car. I'll have a diesel for long trips so I think it's worth getting this for doing day trips and that easy commute.
Love This
Great video
that is one nice motor dude 👍👍👍 maybe one day ....
Joe suffering behind the wheel for hours in the name of science and for us.😊 . No getting away from EVs in the long run (government legislation has seen to that), but as someone who enjoys driving cars with feel, engagement and character - not to mention having far longer range) - I'll stick to analogue ice cars for a while yet!
If I got an electric car the first change would be to replace the noise it has to make with Patrick Star going Wheeeee.

Best looking Audi SUV.

Hi joe very nice review with the car and I think Audi car design is really good for the past few years now and I think Audi is for me 😊and for me a Ev car is good enough
Very interesting video joe. My sq7 can go back and I have been looking at a replacement. Not sure I would pay the extra for the S as I think the error would just do fine.

As ever, great video Joe. Really useful test. But a £90k car that weighs 2.6t and delivers 206 miles? An absolute no-go, especially with the immaturity of the charging infrastructure for non-Teslas. Keep up the real world testing! I can’t wait for an A6 Allroad EV. It’ll never happen so my next car arriving in 2 months is a diesel version of that - partly thanks to your excellent review. The best not-SUV 4WD out there!
The way that car takes off from a dig looks almost unreal
Great review as always Joe. How much you paid to charge it at the BP station?
I love the e-tron. I have a 2021 55 sportback and rolling acceleration and handling reminds me of my old 2018 S3. The initial standstill acceleration is a little slower than expected I bet Audi could reduce this and make it quicker.
Good looking SUV
Just chopped in my Tesla 3p for a Panamera Sport Turismo E Hybrid. Don’t do many long trips but when I do, don’t want to sit down in advance planning re-charge stops. Also, in winter, work on the basis you’ll get about half the advertised range.
Love these videos, brilliant editing and really smart time lapse footage.....very entertaining for what could be very boring. When these cars do 500 miles on a charge I’ll start to get them but as it is, when I do a 600 mile round trip in a day for work on one tank in my G31, this would add far too much time and inconvenience currently.

Great review just how reviews should be not like some who throw the parcel shelf over a hedge. Anyway great looks car, I’ve got the Jaguar I-Pace and love it, admittedly I have a home charger and cheap tariff.

Such an expensive way to jump on the green bandwagon. The uk is not ready for Ev’s in general, ok for small city runs etc, as a family man with kids and all the hassle of trips to Cornwall and Lake District etc from East Anglia it simply doesn’t work for me. Great honest review again Joe, well done.
Really interesting video Joe. As I asked when you wanted questions, I wanted to know if the Mrs could get to head office in Bournemouth from Stoke. Just like yourself, I don't think we're quite there yet. We wouldn't be able to do Cornwall in on hit and we always leave early to miss traffic. I also agree with you on Tesla's, they're bloody awful. The Audi looks like a normal car. Joe, I think we will keep the old bus for a little longer. She just keeps on going. F10 5 series. What a car.👍
Nice bit of VT there Joe, who doesn't love a bit of EV range testing. Would be great to see you Mr Watson and Yianni do an EV range test together. Keep up the great work...🎩

Great review.... how much does the charing cost compared to what your 7 cost on full tank....
Was also thinking about loud music, reasonable bass, air con up high, warm summers day, how that affect things on a trip like this! Also I’m sure the satnav will advise where the chargers are like Mercedes
What a peaceful video 🤣
Top review Joe, like you i'm not ready for EV's even though they are creeping into the back of my mind, sounds like it won't be long before the torque will snap your neck, at least the drive can still be fun! My major concern is the battery lifespan, say i was to buy a 4 year old e-tron in the future, would i have to replace aa battery, as range has got to shorten over time i would imagine?
Hey joe, thanks for another quality video! Quick question, looking to get a new car soon, and in that budget i’m looking for either the 2017 420d as its my fav bmw shape but ideally wanted more power. 2016 330d is the only i could afford in my budget. I’ve either got to go with looks or the engine, what would you go for and how much worse is real world economy in the f30 330d?
@MASO204
2 жыл бұрын
This will be too late but go for engine over looks, you can’t see the car when you’re driving it. But you can get the excitement of power.
That's an interesting machine....i wonder if I will ever own one ☹....currently own a 2015 Mercedes E Class
Good review. Running the battery to 0% will damage it so the real life range will be less than 200miles
I’m with you Joe.......not ready for an EV.
Great review as always. So I have no such need for big practical SUVs yet I have no interest in small hatchback size EVs. So Im forever wondering where the style going to come from? Where's the roaster maybe the hot hatchbacks that excite the driver, the cars that we drive not because we're going to work or to pick up the kids but just for the joy of driving on days like in your video. I despair, no engine noise no joy of driving are we a dying breed
Great vid! I’ve just put a deposit down on one! The vorsprung edition! I’m new to ev’s, how much will it cost to fill up at a charging station roughly and what sort of cost is it to charge over night at your house? Thanks in advance 😊
Great video. I totally agree we are not ready for them especially with the poor battery recycling, environmental cost to manufacture along with the horrendous range.
Nice video. Do you think you could have improved the range even further by setting up the Bluetooth to your phone so it wasn’t hunting for it? 😁
Great review, Joe. Lovely car; however for that sort of EV money I’d rather have a Taycan Cross Tourismo. Completely agree with your opinion on Tesla - well said. 👍🏽

Thanks man, yeah the Cross Tourismo looks mega, but back seat space is cramped compared to the e-tron. Cheers
one of the nicest looking evs around. after the taycan. at 95k you could have a taycan tourismo 4s.........
Excellent informative review Joe. I am due to replace my managers car next March and he / we as a company are exploring the EV route. His main priority is range and could live with around 225 to 250 as an absolute minimum. 200 for the e-tron sounds good for the weight but would be concerned how much that plummets as you said in the winter, lights, wipers, heater etc.

I really dont care about the EV speed or torque, what I do appreciate is changing the gears myself and hearing the revs and sound of the engine. I don't think I'll ever be up for EVs, especially not these 2.5 tonnes monsters.

@@dmomcilovic9185 yeah man, Im 28 yo, I totally want to go back 100 years. If they want diversity in the car industry, sure. But dont kill off ICE cars, like joe said, EVs are fun for the first few times you press the "gass" pedal and then they offer nothing. If youre talking about the environment, please. The rich 1% are responsible for 50%++ of the greenhouse gasses. Buy meat and veggies from local farmers, and youre doing more for the planet than driving an EV. In the city I see how EVs are good, but killing off fun sporty ICE cars is a hypocricy.
OMG; you can see the disadvantages of the large rims and the sporty equipment extremely. An insignificantly slower e-tron 55 would provide 50 miles more real range. The villiage you are drving through looks so beatifull but the road seems a bit narrow or the car a bit wide :D
Good review, like you I'll stick with my x5 diesel for now. Not enough charging points for me.

The power figures almost match that of the original super fast SUV, the Q7 V12 TDI. This feels like it is the modern reincarnation of that car.
Joe. I worked in Aylesbury for 26 years
They ok for commuting, urban, school runs etc.. then at weekend you could drive the sports car. But as a complete replacement it’s a No for me You can easily jump into a diesel car and go for a drive and not have a care in the world whereas a EV you need to plan your trip Bring a jacket so you don’t use the heating , an iPod so you can’t use radio otherwise you drain the battery plus finding charging stations that work with about 3 in a 50 car park average in the uk.
When does it come with those display mirrors?
Good video! People still don't understand the concept of electric cars... If I would have a house where to charge with Solar Panels as well for example, I would be so happy as I drive 17 miles to work and 17 miles back home and it would cost me almost nothing. This is where electric cars are unbeatable. Not to go to greece. Buy a diesel than. But I don't have place to charge so it's not for me yet...
Your view on a 545e would be great Joe. Should be ‘better’ than this car on almost all counts.
Hi Joe. Do you have a mic or are you taking the feed from your go pro. The feedback from the road noise is very off putting. Any chance you could use a lapel mic or similar?
@JoeAchilles1
3 жыл бұрын
Using the GoPro, issue with running a lapel mic on IE cars is they remove 90% of the ambient engine sound etc... I have considered running both, but that adds yet more time to everything, hard as a one man band.

The variable regen seems interesting Joe; surely this doesn’t promote confidence when driving dynamically? I would hate to second guess the level of regen I’m going to get while flying into a braking zone for example. Great content as always 🎉
