I forgot about this show, but hearing about it now my first thought is how they probably couldn't afford it. But the gimmicky house designs seem so much worse now. Edit; Of course, reptile exhibits, pushing people to suddenly have chores or new responsibility is insane..

They are getting way more money than they ever wouldve from the old house. PLUS, they're getting a 135k profit regardless. Cry me a river that retards don't immediately sell the house when they get it.

"just sell your house" as if selling these weird 'personalized' houses would be easy then you have to move which is expensive too, say goodbye to your community that you knew and prob you helped each other (as targeted families were never in a good starting point), new environment that might negatively affect your kids. Layers of issues that poor families experience that lonely rich person can't as someone like X can move over and over if he doesn't like a new place, poor family can't as just act of moving can be crippling to children and their ability to develop and maintain relationships with their peers and we don't even consider the jobs of these poor parents as they prob are not very well educated since they are poor and looking for a job in a new place can be a struggle too. Having your house replaced with something you can't afford is not equal to getting a money bag as your place you could afford is gone forever.

People make fun of content creators reacting to other videos but it really isn't easy to do it properly. I've seen people react to videos where they just have their facecam in the bottom corner and just react with facial expressions to the stuff that is being said in the video they are watching. On the other end of the spectrum there is Asmongold who goes on a 30 minute tangent and loses the entire point of the topic he originally started to reacting to. Xqc shares thoughts here and there and throws in a personal opinion or some extra info that he knows since he has had to deal with it or whatever which to me is the most enjoyable type of reaction video.

Ironically, the reason you appreciate it *is* the problem. You're wanting to watch the original video without actually watching the original video. So you prefer react videos with almost no reaction as the way to avoid that and with an additional small benefit of chat consisting of other people also reacting with you. Don't think I'm trying to hate by pointing this out. Sometimes I want to do that as well. But it's still a tricky issue that gives different pros/cons for the original makers of the videos being reacted too.

@@infinitetandem I also do a double take when it's a video I anticipate enjoying. Like from a creator that I always enjoy videos they make. I watch the OG video first and thoroughly and make sure to like it and whatnot. Then if and when I watch reaction videos of it, I'll play them at a much faster speed and/or in the background like you said. But it's not something I do for a lot of videos and i'm sure quite a few people never do.

@@xFlazz ugh market value is different from calculated tax value lmao given that the show was all about stuffing the "houses" with as much useless shit as possible, do you really think the price (for the sake of taxes) is going to be lower than the amount anyone would want to pay for that crap? it's simple, the gov takes face value (obviously so they can get more taxes) and the market has an asset value. if you have assets that suck because they're useless, you don't have an asset, you have a liability that will tank the value lil bro needs to stop pretending 💀

@@brendon1689 you're literally a weeb pedophile + That's not true, residential property tax is assessed each year at its market value, which is the amount a buyer, willing but not obligated to buy, would pay to a seller willing but not obligated to sell. It's not based just off of the assets and it's actually always lower than what the house actually sells for since the assessed value is very conservative.
