We are absolutely delighted to announce that the Preston Innovations England Feeder Team have won the World Feeder Championships on the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal in Holland. England have beaten France by half a point to retain their title!
Tommy Pickering spoke to us earlier and said that England needed a lot of luck to beat the French, well as luck goes England have just had a lifetimes worth.
England looked dead and buried going into the last ten minutes and then suddenly the tables turned. A call down the radio to Tommy Pickering started Englands momentum. Adam Wakelin caught a 500gram skimmer with five seconds to spare to rocket him up from sixth in his section to finish in second place. Then in the late D section a Swedish and Belgian angler both snared 1kg plus mullets to push the French angler down in that section, exactly what Tommy and England needed.
