You are not allowed to use multiplayer on the joycons (so you can’t use 2 accounts cause if one isn’t the leader whatever they pick up goes to the recycle box) so dont use that 2. This is one of my favorite challenges you’ve done. It makes it unique because aside of the usual rng there certainly is more strategizing! Would you say it was more bait heavy than other fish related challenges you’ve done? The fishing models probably still take the cake though, right?

I discovered that dagnel’s videos are truly so good to listen to while being ef-fish-ient in the house and getting tons of cleaning done so I’ve been watching them all again- so good! This one was very enjoyable 🐠

I’ve recently realized how the fact sea basses are so common in ACNH might be a pun from Nintendo’s part. The Japanese name for sea bass is suzuki. Suzuki is also a surname in Japan… an extremely common one, Suzukis are everywhere. Get it? Suzukis are everywhere…

Video/Stream Ideas: - Open a pack of Amiibo cards, go villager hunting until you find all of the villagers you pulled in that pack - Fill storage speedrun (Fill a maxed out storage shed, and fill every single plot of land on the island so that nothing else may be placed down) - Find every single villager Poster/Photo (Using online services) - Find every NPC/Villager possible in the roost as fast as possible or in the least amount of days - pay off debt speedrun using items that only start with the letter "___" (for example for the letter "S" you could only use items like the Sea bass, science pod, sample case, etc, to pay off your debt) - Scavenger hunt challenge using the dream islands "Surprise Me" Feature - Collect all DIY's and craft all the items - Collect all food recipes and craft them (and eat them) - See how many Sea bass you can catch in a row - Put random pitfall seeds across your island, first villager to fall into one you do a cosplay of (possibly a sub goal) Hopes this helps, love the videos bro, keep it up!

Video idea: Do a 100% speed run of the game Rules: • Get a 5 star island • Complete the Museum • Have 8 bridges and 8 inclines • Pay off all debts on your house • Have 10 villagers (they can be any villagers, no specific ones required) • Have 8 residents, all with fully paid off and upgraded houses • Complete all nook miles achievements

Long time viewer, but I wanna say that Dagnel is my spirit animal as I have many a time done silly self imposed challenges in the Animal Crossing series. I have already caught every fish, and am only missing the spider and fly for bugs in ACNH. Need quite a few more divable creatures though...

this is such a fun challenge :D now that i think about it, i feel like this would be an interesting challenge in stardew too! since theres so many variables And some requirements for certain fish 🤔 though it would probably take longer since with ac you can just time travel and in stardew you have to manually sleep through the days

its kinda neat that you got exactly 3 times the perfect score

this is such a cool challenge, i guess the bug version of this would be much easier lol, i guess sea creature would work the same though

I don't know if you need challenge suggestions but I thought of a Magnum Opus of Animal Crossing challenge. Similar to perfection in SDV you could complete a series of challenges. -Completing the museum (minus fossils and art, because no one likes that type of grinding) -Having max friendship with all 10 villagers (Up to Getting a photograph) -5 Star Island -All fully upgraded shops and home -A challenge of your choice! Ex. Getting a full holiday set of items, Getting blue roses, Getting gold tools, etc. No idea if you'll see this or do it, but it could be a fun challenge!! Keep up the great work on video's, Dagnel!!

One of the first numbers that popped into my head was 101 for the total catch requirement then catching the last one

This is the first fish challenge that likely won’t be followed by a bug one. After all, you can see the bug before catching. Getting the efficient bug record would be easy.

Ok, if im being honest, this is me soon after I restarted my island

With 105 being perfect score that’s exactly 3 catches per fish! …plus 75 blank catches, but still- I wanna do the challenge but don’t want to lose my fruit on my island lmao

My first week playing I caught 4 mahi mahi’s in the span of about 10 minutes but couldn’t catch the golden trout for DAYS using hundreds of bait

I did it as a part of a forced restart because of a very broken switch and got 132 😁 Giant trevali and anjovi was my real issues. I was really lucky in some cases, like caugh a mahimahi while searching for other fishes.

I do miss the mid-sentence Dagnel celebratory exclamations at a new catch.

Seeing the barreleye get released hurt me 😭 I spent so long hunting that damn fish

dag: the golden trout only took me 8 bait me: *used almost a thousand bait and took me like 3 days*

"mahi mahi the most annoyingly rare fish to catch" me: catches like 3 of them in under 12 mins while trying to catch a giant trevally to get the gold fishing rod....

one time i caught a mahi-mahi without looking for it and without hair 😭😭😭

I wonder how much you could truly optimize this challenge using fish blindness to your advantage. I bet you could theoretically get close to a perfect score, if you somehow were able to deduce each fish's exact blindness from casting

It's definitely possible. You get ~20 chances to mess up before getting to 100, and then getting those 5 without repeats is doable. Somebody could do it if they tried hard enough, but it won't be me!

Technically you could soft reset every time you catch the wrong fish, so it wouldn't be too hard to get a perfect score. It just would not be fun at all.

That makes me wonder - would the same challenge be possible (or maybe even easier) in Stardew Valley? Because all (or most) of the fish there have their own unique moving patterns in the fishing minigame, so you theoretically can know which fish you're catching. Or would that make it too easy..?

I just started a new ACNH island and got the 100 fish achievement where you don't lose any, on my first day. After THREE AND A HALF YEARS of not being able to do it on my old island. Sheesh
