How Does The Hyperloop Work? | BYJU’S Fun Facts

Imagine travelling on a train that goes faster than 1200 kms/hr. You could traverse the length of India in under 3 hours! It does sound far-fetched but not for too long with Hyperloop technology.
A hyperloop is a modified bullet train in which people can travel at speeds as high as 1220 km/h, just shy of the speed of sound! But how would it even work? At its core, it’s essentially about removing two things that slow all vehicles down - Friction and Air resistance.
But how will the train even move without friction? And how can one simply eliminate air resistance? How would the train stop? Watch this video to find answers and know more about hyperloop technology!

    India was the first country which was openly interested in this concept, this year we did tests of virgin hyperloop but the max speed was just 110Km/h which was 10 times less than expected, so we have kept it at hold untill it becomes successful by other country.

    @4:16 "...the pressure would be so low, that it would be equivalent to flying 150,000 feet above sea level." ...making it more that twice as high as the "Armstrong Limit" (~63,000 ft) above which the ambient air pressure is so low that water boils at the normal temperature of the human body; exposure to pressure this low results in loss of consciousness within just a few seconds in the event of loss of cabin pressure. That's why pilots of aircraft that routinely fly above the Armstrong Limit have to use pressure suits.

    For the breaking system if you are using the jet engine, simply switch of or at least reduce the thrust. Or for the magnet part you could use movable electromagnets to create a wall and use the resistance of the magnets, although you would have to reduce the electric supply slowly as not to give reverse thrust.

  • @arnavg7973

    @arnavg7973

    If you simply turn off the jet engine, The thrust it was providing would still take quite a bit of time for it to come to a halt..
