i have a 2 kind of personal questions. Not at all to make fun of or belittle your GI Discomfort as i have issues as well. I have a thought or theory on breast feeding and antibiotics. Were you raised on breast milk? I was not. Have you taken several antibiotics in a short span of time let's say within a year? I have due to infections in surgery and dental issues. I was able to drink milk when i was young with no issue. I know at least from the age of 4 to 23 now i am 46. i cannot tolerate milk other than raw milk. i cannot handle certain breads, tortillas, and possibly PeanutButter and or some kind of oil in products containing bread. For a while i had taken extreme interest in the body's microbes in the gut. started eating a variety of fermented foods, ate fermented asparagus, broccoli sprouts, increase of water intake, and fermented cabbage. I had never tested my ability to drink store bought milk but had tested my ability to eat PeanutButter and bread without skin breakouts once again. what have you tried? do you have any other allergies?

Keep in mind that a large chunk of Jersey cows actually produce A2 milk. Not all Jersey cows do, but they are one of a few breeds that produces the A2/A2 gene. For a farm to produce only A2 milk, they are bred over a number of years to ensure a pure line of a2/a2 jeans in their hard, and they are tested to verify production of A2 milk only in their heard.

this was very informative. i appreciate the time and effort placed into this clip. Of course, i have questions. Like does it matter if it is raw milk or how much milk is actually consumed. I know for a fact that raw milk doesn't affect me negatively or as negatively (depends on cow breed producing raw milk). Not sure what the difference in milk produced depending on breed of cow. For instance, there is a Brown-Swiss Cow, Guernsey (which has been "tested" to be pure A2 milk that are gene dominant in A2 milk). What about older European Cow Breeds Like the Shetland Isle cows, Salers cows, Chianina Cows, and more...... ? I have many many questions. Since the studies began in 1990 by New Zealand scientists i question what kind of tests were performed! What i mean is colostrum plays a very important role in the digestive system. Humans have a K-Casein protein, right? How many children are breast fed in the world by a mother during the period in which she produces colostrum? To me this relates to the ability to consume milk. Formulas for babies are produced from cow's milk along with, vegetable oils, synthetic vitamins and mineral mix. How does this impact the human digestive systems ability to tolerate either variant of Beta Casein proteins? Setting aside the financial institute that developed the theory of A2 milk being healthier. Why isn't butterfat content taken into consideration as well? fat is known to increase inflammation, isn't it? I do find it interesting that in the 1500's cow and sheep milk was used as a substitute for mother's milk and that wet nurses were used for royalty in history. I am uncertain as to how it was determined that a protein was concluded to cause inflammation? Other questions like were the cows diet taken in to consideration? in the United States studies and certain practices are made to increase nutritional value of cow's milk and to limit diseases. I find this extremely interesting, because from the ages of 4 to 23 i had no problems with milk. After a series of major injuries and having been given plenty of antibiotics. My ability to digest regular store-bought milk had declined. In fact it truly hurts my stomach to drink milk due to bloating. In addition, peanut butter now seems to cause a skin reaction. this was not the case between the ages of 4 to 23. So now i question so many things! One last thing. I question sciences manipulations of mammals especially those used as food. Isn't Histidine an essential amino acid that plays a vital role in the biosynthesis of proteins? Maybe it isn't a factor of a1 or a2 milk and maybe a fact that proline amino acid improves certain bodily functions. Can't Proline be synthesized in the human body?

@nobodysperfect: I hear u. U probably got what I got from antibiotics. Sugar has become my enemy. Meats course constipation. Eggs cause memory problems. Grains course skin and joint problems. Fruits also. Nuts to a lesser degree, but I don’t digest them: they come out the way they went in, so I smoothie them. Even broccoli gives me skin bumps that itch. I would go full carnivore if it wasn’t for that constipation. Fermented dairy doesn’t work either. They won’t give me FMT to fix this. And Uncle Sam won’t let me buy raw colostrum. 2020 - For the September review in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, researchers analyzed 27 trials that focused on dairy products’ effect on inflammatory markers. Dairy products included dairy food options like milk, yogurt, cheese, and proteins from milk including casein and whey. None of these studies suggest that either consuming dairy food or proteins from milk increase inflammation like previously believed. In fact, some of the studies report dairy intake actually results in a reduction in at least one biomarker of inflammation. So were studies paid for by Diary industry or maybe it affects some of us but not others?

Agree on that, also recently read a recent comparative study between plant-based diet and dairy-rich diet actually found not only a reduction in some inflammatory markers + an increase in microbial diversity. Compared to plant-based diet that showed in increase in microbiome-diversity, and no reduction in inflammatory markers. Only an increase in enzymatic function that were responsible for the digestion of plants (which indicates eating a plant based diet would only result in your body adapting to digest more plants)

Appreciate your considered response. (I love dairy and miss it, I have an inflammatory arthritis and pretty darned high total cholesterol . . I can easily access A-2 milk, buffalo milk/cheese, goat, sheep . . . but my understanding is that any of these (which I would try to find organic/raw) will raise my cholesterol further.) Now I've stopped it at the New Year and my inflammation has gone (got photos to prove it). I now drink (S'bucks Latte) coffee with coconut milk and I add little powdered bone broth I take with me. Then it tastes just like dairy milk - yum. BUT powdered bone broth might have too much calcium so I must be careful to use minimum amount of that delicious bone broth powder. • @CatalystUniversity

Here's what I found on Whey Protein Isolate: "When whey protein undergoes micro filtration and ion exchange, the result is the most highly refined whey protein product - whey protein isolate, which contains at least 90 percent whey protein. This filtration process further removes essentially all lactose and fat, making it safe for those with dairy sensitivities to consume. Although it is considered whey protein in one of its most purest forms, whey protein isolate is still not guaranteed to be free of casein." So, perhaps some, depending on the efficiency of the filtration. Whey concentrate will probably have more casein, but still not a lot.
