How does brain fog affect breast cancer survivors - and how can cognitive research help?

A Friends of BrainHealth grant helped cognitive researcher Erin Venza, MS, CCC-SLP, launch a career in cognitive research. Initially trained as a speech-language pathologist, she leads novel research focusing on unique populations, like people with mood disorders and breast cancer survivors working to manage brain fog.
Currently, Venza is head of clinical operations at Center for BrainHealth, where she continues to conduct research to develop and test the center's proprietary methodology, Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Tactics (SMART™) brain training, empowering individuals to improve quality of life through a top-down approach to cognitive training that is unique person to person.
The Friends of BrainHealth donor circle provides critical support for life-changing studies, raising more than $4.3 million since 2008 and launching dozens of cutting-edge cognitive research studies. Annual seedling grants for early-career brain health researchers helps to inspire a new generation of scientists and a new era of transformative brain health breakthroughs.
