In this video I'll be talking about life as a medical student with adhd - specifically how adhd affects some pretty crucial areas of being a medical student!
We look at six areas where students with adhd might struggle in medical school - organisation, productivity, distractibility, impulsivity, time management and memory!

@@tallymedic Hi! How do you administer injections when you have ADHD and the parts of your brain that control movement are underdeveloped? Last time I administered saltwater to my classmate she said it hurt. I have no problem controlling my clumsy limbs when I give a subcutane injection to myself, but doing a ventrogluteal injection on a classmate? Hell no! Doesn't matter how many times I stab a fake skin thing with a needle, it's not the same thing as a real human.
Soooo accurate, ive literally gone through the same things, but mainly the bad time management issue, especially that beeing key in medical school. Really enjoyed the video!

Girl this is what’s happening to me right new i just got diagnosed with ADHD and so many wrong things happening to me just make since Thank you for sharing your experience
relate soo much to the understanding of the bigger picture and they ask you a question about a thing that you went through briefly and didn't even consider important. i still struggle with that, but now i am more aware of the fact that i can't remember every single thing

I lived a little far from my friends and id get anxious didnt want to make them wait so for like a year id go to the meeting spots 1-2 hours early accidentally
How did you cope with UCAT preparation? I struggle so much, I’m pretty sure I’ve got inattentive ADHD and organising data & processing information under a time pressure is hell.
Ugh I’m a doctor with adhd and I’m studying for the step 1s and I’m struggling
the background music got me distracted 😮💨

Hey! I’m so sorry this is such a late reply! So there was a questionnaire that I had to complete, and then another questionnaire that I had to give to someone who’s known me since childhood to complete! And then after that I sent them both to the psychiatrist and then we had an hours appointment where he asked me various questions about work, life, study etc and also about some of the things I’d written in the questionnaire x
