Does the difference in temperature equal the speed output? Meaning if I had 1000 degrees as opposed to 100 as the thermal source would the 1000 turn the engine faster?

Yes, the greater temperature difference the more efficient the engine becomes

So we can use this to have a clean source of energy right?

Stirling Engines are more of a novelty today. I think there's some use in low-power solar applications but they're just not very practical. Not as powerful or efficient as ICE's and turbines. You could technically use any fuel you want since it's external combustion, but who knows. Would be cool to see them used more!

I don't think it produces a great deal of energy. It works well enough if everything is cleanly oiled and it has time to ramp up, but its really not a lot of energy.

i don't think so. i think the power to weight ratio is higher for internal combustion engines than it is for sterling engines.
