I can tell you I’ve used Taxiapp a few times and they were great - except one driver had a West Ham air freshener

This was a really interesting video Mark. I hope this app takes off in London. In Glasgow we have a zone and rank system for allocation of dispatch jobs. Each rank has its own zone and any job within that zone goes to the first cab on the rank. If no cars on the rank accept then it will go onto the closest cab bid system like TaxiApp. Keeps it fair, with work going to the driver who’s been waiting rather than fastest finger first/right place right time.

Another great video mate. I've been driving a Taxi in London for 5 months and tbh I've not really given "TAXIAPP" a fair shout. I'll look to make sure the apps open and live when I head out next.

Is mo55 ram still Involved and getting all the best work and is it true lots of drivers paid commission for months and never got a job cos the app couldn’t have all the drivers on at same time ??

When downloading the app I see there is a booking fee at 4 pounds. I think that is perhaps a bit steep and what will a ride from Manor House station to Gibson Square cost hailed on the street or via taxiapp?

A booking fee on top of the fare wouldn’t work for me. Presumably this means it’s more expensive to use the App than to hail a taxi on the street.

@@johnorchin8567Think of it like a convenience fee. The taxi comes to you rather than you going to the taxi. The same as food. It is more expensive to have food delivered via an app than it is to go collect it yourself.

@@johnorchin8567 Hi John The booking fee pays first the running of the business including improving the technology. Other apps charge a booking fee and use surcharge fees when busy, at Taxiapp we only charge the booking fee.

As a customer I found it very difficult to get drivers on taxiapp , means have to end up using free now and both me and the driver paying the high fees. Taxiapp needs better investment in the app I think in terms of the gps etc. surely better getting all drivers off free now and onto taxiapp
