interesting way from Knightsbridge to the Hammersmith flyover. I might have to give it a try next time. But I am on a bike, so congestion is a smaller issue for me than for you. I currently avoid it via Paddington flyover ;-)

This Vehicle Like all the vehicles from, Mann & Overton are overpriced and not a lot of thought in the Design This vehicle if your lucky Does 60 miles to the charge not hybrid which is self charging which makes more sense and unlike most Electric vehicles that Does 300 mile to the Charge you have always have to be under warranty in this Vehicle as the battery alone costs £20 .000 to replace the E Rad about £16.000 compared to Toyota prius which is about £25.000 and a superior vehicle

@@paulpablo7810 I know, but that’s spread out over 8000 vehicles I’ve experienced 4 of those listed above and erad. I guess that’s about right for a business vehicle with thousands of people jumping in and out. Door drop is normally to do with the wind catching it and pulling the hinges. My tx2 was never out the garage!
@@Marktaxi i can go past the Tx2 with its tenisor fan belt noises back to the 2.2 Austin which could not go up a hill then there was the 2.5 Engine which always overheated you see there is one common denominator mann & Overton might have changed its Name to Levic but Everthing else is the same

At the larger railway station taxi ranks, would some sort of indication screen showing how many spaces available on the rank on the street approaching would assist taxi drivers in deciding whether to join the rank?
Yep! Just like the feeder at Victoria, even when driving past I can’t really see in.
Is it such an issue that the passenger bailed out? They paid you up to that point correct?

Great video as per, Chris Evans can be a bit wearing, I listen for 25 mins on my journey to Hungerford...so just about enough of his sometimes over enthusiastic broadcasting....😊
Yes I think that over enthusiasm can go so far on radio, definitely was a no no for top gear
Whilst I'm sure TaxiApp is much better for the drivers than FreeNow (and others), as a customer, I do see a couple problems with the model. I find that £4 is a rather high booking fee for short journeys (even £20, that's a 20% fee) and a percentage based on the estimated fare would possibly be better, especially for outer London local jobs (which I think apps could unlock for taxi drivers, as the lower population density means street jobs are basically non-existant). Additionally, the thing I like the most about FreeNow is that you get an estimation of the fare before you go, which I belive helps compete with Uber's set price model. That said, I always prefer to hail off the street, and I only use apps when there's no cabs in sight, like when I got stuck at Westfield at 9am when the tube was on fire or something. I should also mention that I'm still on FreeNow's introductory offer and my opinions may change once I'm no longer getting 50% off...

The new taxi rank at Euston looks nice, although about three weeks ago, I was waiting to get a taxi there. There were over 30 people in the queue (there was no taxi on site), so I gave up as I was heading to the Royal Academy of Arts. I eventually found a taxi and told the driver about the high queues at Euston Rank
Thanks for the update! The new rank has been running for a couple of months now and that was the first time I thought I give it a try. The problem being it’s difficult to get into for drivers no access east bound, west bound yes. I’d only ever rank up if I was travelling on the Euston road west bound. Thanks for watching!

I used to do night work when I was younger but migrated to day work as it just fits in with my daily routine. I was never really a big fan of nights, enjoy working days as they seem to fly by!

I think he means that stopped the journey short to walk the rest of the way, rather than ran off without paying
Yes as littlejimmy alluded these are not billers just passengers that have ask to jump out early and curtail their journey as the traffic is so bad
