Thanks for all your videos. I discovered them recently while searching for videos on beekeeping, which I am entering my second year of doing myself. My kids enjoy them as well, and I like that they're learning. On a side note, I spent 4 months in Ecuador back in the mid 80's. (yeah, I'm old) 😀
Maddie your episodes are so fantastic
I've been growing pineapples a long time. I've always took the cut top and just planted it. Next time I'll try removing the fruit bit and exposing the roots as you did. Maybe it will grow faster :)
You are an awesome human Maddie!
Can I ask you a question: Why is 13 an unlucky number?
Totally gonna try the recipe
If you haven't seen it before, you should check out how cashews grow...that one surprised me!

Asparagus is one that I had no idea what it would look like growing, but when I saw it though "I really don't know what else I expected"
2:38 Fun fact: Pineapples are almost universally pronounced the same way in languages that usually would not have a lot in common, like, Urdu and Norwegian. www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english-chinese/pineapple
Please make more of these videos!! This video is an awesome mix of information and recipes!!
I was amazed the first time I saw pineapples In a field in Thailand. Fresh from the fields pineapple has to be one of the best things to eat ever.

A pineapple fruit is actually known as a sorosis type of fruit, meaning multiple fruit..
How is the pineapple plant going?
Will pineapples grow in the British climate if you plant it like that? I know its hot at the moment but we dont really have the greatest weather lol

Very true lol! A windowsill with lots of light or a greenhouse would be the ideal home for the first month or two.

Your smile makes me happy, Also your videos are great to :D
I like pineapple. It's delightful.
I had no idea there were roots hidden in there! Thank you so much, I always used to plant them with the cap on and was quite annoyed that it never worked.

AWESOME Maddie ! Science, Cooking, and A bit of personal stories from the lovely Maddie Moate. By the way Maddie, You look even more beautiful now than in the photo of you getting "AMOK" written on your arm.

I LOVE YOU
Maddie, I loved this! This miniseries sounds fantastic! I would really love to know how watermelons are grown!
I love videos
Did it grow in the end?!
This is actually a really cool idea, a mix of two of my favourite things, a bit of science and cooking shows. The recipe looked really freaking good too, it's a little before dinner time and my stomach actually growled when I saw those skewers. Btw I have always wondered how a kiwi grows. I know I could easily look it up but I would rather have you enlighten me :)
Maddie we need an update on the pineapple, did it grow?
l did not know pineapple grow like that
Great idea for a series!
i lighg it
It's almost 3 years now since you released this video. Has the pineapple grown? Sorry about my english...
she's beautiful...
This is such a good idea!
What's the name of the song play at the end of the video?
I never ever thought that's how pineapples grew or that those "pines" were flowers! Would it really take years to grow a pineapple provided that I only give it enough water by the way? Thanks for the video. I didn't expect to see something like this, but it's amazing to see how diverse our nature is =)
How does it grow is already a video series ............
lol i already knewhow pineaplles grow when i was younge
Pineapples best enjoyed FRESH. Such tasty treats on their own. Great video series idea, Maddie!
what happened to the plant?
please tell us how did the plant do!
Like your vampire teeth!😁
take me as your farm worker
How does spaghetti grow?
Apparently forcing people to run through pineapple fields was used as a punishment. They also contain a flesh eating enzyme called Bromelain, that digests the proteins in skin and flesh.
Thanks Maddie, I'm gonna grow a pineapple bush now. ;-)
I think this is the first video I've seen with relatively many views and zero thumbs down. I always thought that at about a thousand views KZread just sends some troll your way just to rub your nose down a bit and to remind you you're not all that great. I guess Maddie is just too nice for that.
I used to think pineapples grew in palm trees. When I did the research, my mind was blown! A lot of foods row in weird places.
I have a couple of pineapple facts. 1. In the 17th century the pineapple was worth the equivalent of £5000. 2. The tingling feeling when you eat a pineapple is caused by a flesh dissolving enzyme called bromaline.
Wow, I thought pineapple grows on trees, since it's a pine-APPLE. This series is definitely going to be cool, Maddie!
awesome
Amok is pronounced with a long A. At least in german, I don't know if anyone else uses that word^^

It is used in English as well, running amok usually means running around out of control causing mayhem chaos and havoc.
