    Boom Shabanga Look, some actually come with the house. I’m sure if they had the choice whether to use one or not, it would be a hard no. Idk where you live, but the majority of houses here have dishwashers when you purchase a house.

    Yeah. Asians don't bake much so the oven can be used as storage. Though it's fixing to be Thanksgiving...that's one of the few times I clean and use my big oven. I do have a toaster oven that I use quite a bit.

    @@ph-jx4bd Do you have a lot of baked dishes? Do you have a favorite you'd recommend? I would love to try some. We don't have a big Filipino community where I'm from...so I'm pretty clueless. Mostly we pan fry, stir fry, deep fry, steam, boil, braise, but very little baking for everyday Viet meals. My Vietnamese family does make pastries and cakes (French influence) and I did make mooncakes last September for the harvest festival but I mostly use the toaster oven instead of the big oven...same for when I make Mexican, Italian, or other foods that require baking. House gets too hot with the big oven.

    You don't run the dishwasher after every meal, you wait until it's full. You also rinse your plate before putting it in the dishwasher to get most of the stuff of.

    If you go through the process of rinsing them off to get "most the stuff off" then just finish the job hang the dishes and let them dry. No dishwasher necessary.

    i unno, i live in a ground floor apartment and there's no proper foyer, and it's another 10 feet to my desk to sit down. i don't care because i clean the floors myself. if i lived in a house, i'd care. only keep them in the foyer, or only on the ground floor. like i'm not gonna untie and retie my shoes and kick them off just because i left my waterbottle inside when i leave for work, lol.

    I had this same argument with my family, we normally wash with our hands but one month we decided to JUST use our dishwasher and compared the general water bill to see which one was higher. The dishwasher used more water, so now we just use the dishwasher with out complaint.

    If your dishwasher was made in the last 10 years, you don't need to rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Just scrape the big stuff into the trash first.

    This is why you buy more plates. Then, you can slowly fill up the dishwasher, still have things to eat off of and once the dishwasher is full, you turn it on and let it do it's thing! Also, guys that is DEDICATION, eating off of that car. Also, also, I'm microwaving my sponges from now on. Thanks.

    @@princejoseph8280 you can, they come out nice and clean. But for quick disinfection the microwave works great. It even restores their springyness if they start to lose it!

    I am Korean. We wash the dishes with hot water before putting them in dishwasher. We have to wait until the dishwasher gets full, and if we put dirty dishes in dishwasher and wait until it gets full, it would get smelly.

    Actually, microwaving the sponge has been proven to be completely ineffective (and spreads bacteria to the microwave). It's recommended to just replace it regularly.

    There's an article on pbs.org that researched microwaving the kitchen sponge, tested by scientists. It makes things worse. They say to just throw the sponge out after 1 week of use. A simple Google search will get you other articles.

    I have a few critics with this. -Lets be honest,unless your a really critical of germs. I bet about 99% of y’all don’t microwave a sponge or use gloves. - I don’t see the point of Korea vs American,I honestly think naming it Dishwasher vs Hand Washing would’ve made more sense.     Not if you have to rinse off your dishes before using it, then use it only to find out the dishes weren’t properly cleaned only to then waste more water cleaning them by hand when you could have done that the first time.

    Actually it is kinda better to hand wash Health wise I mean Because with the missed bacteria, it can expose your body to small amounts of bacteria. Which improves one’s immune system. Also The dishwasher uses more power, more bills. With hand washing, if you rinse everything, turn off the water, use soap, then rinse again, you’d use less water and power.

    yeah but a dishwasher doesn’t have large sponge like things that come out and wash your plates, plus human error of hand washing a large ass car versus a tiny ass plate(or cup/utensil).

    I must admit when my dishwasher broke I was devastated. I had to wait 2 weeks for to get my new one fitted. It was the longest two weeks of my life. I wouldn't recommend getting an integral dishwasher.

    Our dishwasher is broken for half a year now and slowly but surely handwashing becomes more relaxing. You can listen to music while washing the dishes or listening to a TV program. It's pretty relaxing

    At home (Philippines), we don’t have a dishwasher. We wash by hand. But when we go on vacation abroad and there’s a dishwasher, I would soap the dishes and then put it in the dishwasher (while still soapy) and use the hot water in the dishwasher to rinse it. Squeaky clean! 🧼

    I'd like to see the reference link for how much water is used for washing by hand vs. Machine. What if your family does things differently? -dishwasher is for drying -some dishes are hand dried -replace eco friendly sponge monthly -used water is recycled My roommates washed my dishes they borrowed in the dishwasher before and it came out with spots and bits of dried food still on it. I ended up washing them again by hand.

    Most new dishwashers actually use less water and it is recommended to leave food on the dishes so the soap bonds to the food and cleans the dishes.

    Oh, heck no. I got so uncomfortable when I saw that man put the dishes into the dishwasher. I rather clean it with my bare hands bc, I ain’t a lazy ass. Plus, it’s much faster and it’s gets rid of those hard foods that get stuck on your plate. What can the dishwasher do? Besides clean it. There will always be scraps left behind if you use a dishwasher. 😑

    +Kumo_ Cha You have to rinse the plates before putting them in the dishwasher... In the end it is faster and you use less water... It doesn't mean that you are lazy, it just means that you don't have spare time to waste on cleaning dishes...

    Mariaah, I have rinsed it before and put in a dishwasher. It always ends up the same. And what else do you have to do? It takes about 1-6 mins just to wash it in a sink.
