I loved the way you demonstrated shading by putting a piece of tracing paper over a more complex drawing. That was very helpful. Sometimes it's easy to grasp a concept on a simple form but get a little lost when trying to apply it to a more challenging subject matter.

It would’ve been an interesting aid/demonstration for you to have a sheet of paper as the two dimensional front-facing object, add a shade gradient in vertical and horizontal lines, and then bend the paper itself into a tube and show it from different angles so we could see the line orientation change.

I just finished a pen & ink assignment at school. I wish I would have had your video to help guide me. My lines were all over the place 😂. But, it sparked my interest in continuing to use this medium and style and to practice more on my own. My birthday is coming up this month and I am putting your books on my list as must haves. Your art is beautiful!! Thank you for your tutorials.
