How Do Polish Villagers React To a Black Foreigner? (Social Experiment)

There is a stigma around black people when it comes to traveling in certain countries, especially in Eastern Europe. Is it because some people of colour complain about their experiences in European countries as a minority and how they think they are not treated well? In my travel videos across Europe I have been documenting my own reality of life as a foreigner and my experiences on how I engage with the local people I come across on my journeys where ever it is on or off the camera all of my encounters are the same.. My travels are comfortable and enjoyable and definitely loads fun. I do not feel like a victim or threatened because my colour when I travel. I believe this channel can educate people from an aspect that not all people of colour are always discriminated or judged, this can be seen in all my films from me showing my encounters in some of the most remote places I have visited in Europe such as, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and England. Although I know some people are racist but for their own reasons.. What advice can I give to anyone that wants to travel no matter the country you travel to or what your colour is. Be fearless, friendly and open to learn a few phrases for interactions, because I know it takes a lot of effort for people and confidence to approach a random stranger and start a conversation and that’s what my spontaneous village travels are about - interacting with the locals and showing how life is on the outside of the big cities and towns. Watch me on this village tour which is far from a touristic location where foreigners usually don’t go. Let’s have look how the Polish people interact with a foreigner. I Took The Wock To Poland. 😎

The man was so nice and patient I’m black British and staying in a village as well about 31km from Warsaw centre. I can say it’s a a similar experience. Sometimes people stare in disbelief but if you chat with them or say “hello” they will greet you back I even visited a farmer there and at the time I was playing for a football team called “Ursus” Warszawa and he had a tractor 🚜 nearby. we had a little laugh about that and saw his pony too. Polish village > South London - Local foods, local poultry, raw honey, local vegetables.. it’s pure class.

Dear Andre, I hope you can fund more of your travels with these 'hidden' educative videos. I saw it randomly, attracted by the apparent title image, which picks up on the curiosity of people with a particular bias and assumptions, then I watched it whole while making pancakes with my little daughter and showing her what our Polish villages look like; it was so random and authentic, and it felt like we were walking there with you; we enjoyed these encounters with you. My daughter has never seen her country of origin (yet), and I was happy to show her a little in this way. There is much more to say about your video, but after reading your descriptive info above, it all makes sense now. Your excitement about seeing hens is hilarious; been living in the city too much?;-) By the way, this was not a local museum but the backyard of someone's house, haha. Careful entering someone's backyard sometimes, but with your open and friendly attitude, people certainly feel relaxed, curious and refreshed wherever you go. I would like to see such a random village video of yours from a country like Tunisia, Kuwait, or Bahrain. Polish people (and people in all countries) are generally curious and open-minded toward encounters and meeting people from other cultures and people who look different. But once immigration reaches some critical mass, certain groups of people stop being open and see them as a threat. We are still far away from societies being united and living a new reality that is not 'them against us'. I doubt this will be possible, assuming this is engrained in human nature of survival. This an important topic requiring research about it to be known globally and locally in all corners, so we can all relate more and understand how our worlds work.

Poland is under attack by propaganda, CNN, BBC, Russian propaganda, which the Western media have liked to spread for 8 years ... as time has shown, it was a game to destabilize Poland before Putin attacked Ukraine, but people in the west continue to misinform about Poland every day. Brussels liked it best, using Russian propaganda about Poland for its own purposes. There is no justice in the world.

You got lucky - in Poland it is... forbidden to drink alcohol outside 😉 Although, actually, if any police patrol would be passing by, their minds would fail to compile such an uncommon view - a black person drinking Polish beer 🤣 And Tyskie is actually not regarded as a good beer, although it is a very common one. There is a never-ending war between "Tyskie" and "Żywiec" brands. Dom Ludowy is kind of local facility maintained by local authority, but is meant for various cultural or sports events. How did you even get there? 😁 Nice video!

I don't think it's fair to say that people are more racist in more remote areas with less foreigners. They will be more cautious, curious, suspicious even, but this does not mean that they are xenophobic or racist. Multicultural and ethnically diverse cities are not utopias just by the virtue of their existence, and when you see large amounts of migrant workers and refugees in an area you can also see increased levels of racism among some working class populations whose traditional position in society is being undermined by increased competition for reduced wages. Studies show that immigration has a net positive effect on a country's gdp, but also that it has a negative impact on the working classes, the gap between rich and poor increases, but at least the gdp stats look good
