How do I warm-up my voice?

Knowing how to correctly warmup your voice before singing can be confusing. What's worse is not warming up your voice at all. That can be super dangerous. So, let's make it easy for you! In today's livestream voice lesson, we'll be going through a complete vocal warm-up that is sure to get your voice ready for singing.
Does your chest voice ever feel like shouting when you sing? Does your head voice ever feel like a whisper? Are you ever confused at where to place your voice in a song? In this video, we'll be building a bridge over these troubled pitches and exploring your mix voice.

You are the best of the best of the best. You literally changed my life 🙏🏻❤ i always wanted to sing, since i was a kid but my parents never let me because in the 70’s those activities were for gays and “lost souls” , so i grew being a happy gay man and I started to sing at the age of 45 ‼️ now I’m 49 and since I being training EVERY DAY with yours videos i can sing amazing, I don’t recognize myself and I’m saying this in the most humble and thankful way, you helped me prove the world that your life could start at any age ❤ I’m always dreamed to be a singer. Now I think I’m one 🎙️ 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am so grateful for your lessons 🩵 I used to sing back in college but I gave it up for a long time. I’ve recently started again and I can see how much I’ve improved thanks to all of your 7 day challenges. I practice them every chance I get during long work commutes 🙏🏽🙏🏽

This is so hard for me the lip trills. Never been able to finish even one 😊😊. Even on the ascending scale leave alone the descending scale LOL. But the suggestion to do just 2 notes so it is easier is awesome!!! Apparently the doggy is not a big fan of lip trills, he has turned his head away as soon as you started doing them!!! So funny!!!

We buy one-time use coffee cups for times when our reusable one is dirty, we have guests over, etc. We don't use them very often because we try not to make too much waste if we can help it, so a box lasts us a while. But it comes with the little stir straws that we never use. I now use those for vocal warmups. :)

Hi Madeleine, I was wondering if you could do a live lesson on how to strengthen the passaggio? I find the bridge between my chest voice, mixed voice, and head voice very weak even if I try to strengthen my breath support and decrease the chances of my air pressure falling. I find there's always a bit of cracking when I try to switch fast and then my pitch ends up going out the window during a song. I'd appreciate if you could provide some tips on how to navigate these weak spots.

Do lip trills give better results than tongue trills? To manage a lip trill I gotta put my fingers beside my mouth and lift up my whole face almost lol , but tongue trills is a whole lot more natural to me... So I was wondering if it's even better to learn lip trills for results...
