Wasn’t he in purgatory in Denver? His only playoff appearance prior to last season was with us, never even had a winning season in Denver.😂

@@All_Hawks_INYeah I agree with him. It really wasn’t a personal thing against him. But his tenure here was quite forgettable. Nothing I really remember about his impact on the team. Honestly forgot he was even here. That’s just how it goes, some guys work out and others don’t and move on.

Seattle? Defund the police, out of control crime, Squatters moving into your house while you're on vacation. Black crime out of control. Drugged out homeless who rob from your yard. Mental health addicts roaming the streets and disrupting businesses. I was born there and don't recognize it anymore.

The Seahawks only made the 2022-23 playoffs because the NFCw was decimated by key injuries, and if Nathaniel Hackett had let Russ go ahead and throw the TD he was about to throw vs. the Seahawks, they would’ve been out just on that loss alone. And they still needed the Lions’ and Packers’ help to get into the playoffs and got dismissed like the pretenders they were by a 49ers team that Russ beat in the worst season of his career. Bottom line: the Seahawks were a 3-14 squad with a 9-8 record. They didn’t beat a single team with a .500+ record that entire season. I also hate to point out the obvious, but Pete Carroll is now out of a job, and it’s primarily because Russ could do things Geno couldn’t.

Having lived in south Seattle for 20+ years, I can see it. LOOOTTA flight time playing pro sports in Seattle, since literally nowhere is close to it. The city IS depressing. Crime, homelessness and overall dirtiness downtown make it not a fun place to be around for extended periods of time, and that's not even to mention the weather. It's abysmal for 10 months of the year with constant overcast sitting between 43-53 degrees, where it's never warm enough to be outside, never cold enough to snow and have fun with the kids. That 2-3 month summer if you live up north or around the water is some of the best climate you can find, thankfully that's what the rookies get when they first come over for OTAs and stuff. Seattle is home to me but there's plenty not to like just being objective. Gotta rely heavy on the stability and resources of the program to lure people up here, because unless you live up past like Everett, the place itself is just bleh.

i grew up in seattle. I moved away in my mid 30s and have moved in a a handful of places since then- so here is the perspectives from a local that left. 1) yes.. Seattle overrates and over-importanizes itself. Seattle is not nearly as much on the map outside of Seattle than Seattlites think. Oh, everybody hears that it's nice, that it's pretty- but its not on the national mindset. sorry my fellow Seattlites. (But secretly Seattlites want this b/c they DON'T want outsiders "ruining" Seattle). The best example I can give is when .. I forget who was fired as the Husky Football coach- but the hottest coach in NCAA at the time was Cal's Jeff Tedford (they were a national power for a few years under him). All I could hear from Seattlites was how they were gonig to attract Tedford away to bcome the next Husky coach- as if it was a done deal, how can Tedford turn away a job at Washington? Well.. I lived in the Bay Area for a few years at that time and just had to laugh. NO WAY was Tedford even considering it. Cal, Stanford, UCLA, USC still got more press on the national scale than Washington at the time. Me as a former Seattlite didnt' really think of Seattle that much beyond when games were on and if the game was intriguing.) 2) the "Seattle Freeze" for people outside of Seattle considering moving to Seattle is REAL and VERY WELL KNOWN outside of Seattle. If there is one thing outsider to Seattle know and hear about Seattle, it's the "Seattle Freeze". I remember coming back to visit my Seattle friends for a game at Safeco and we all had dinner pre-game. My friends met with their friends who had invited one of their out of town friends. At dinner, and I had only been away from Seattle a year, I was shocked just how much everybody shut the other outsider out - NOBODY SPOKE TO HIM!. I grew up there and was wth my longtime Seattle friends and THEY didn' treally even talk to ME! So my friend and his friends were talking- and none of them were talking to me or the other outsider. That's the Seattle Freeze. (btw.. me and the other outsider had a BLAST talking with each other and had an easy time of it.. why? we both came from areas where socizligin with people you don't know was just a matter of fact and what you did in the towns we came from (me.. Bay Area...) Another way to point this out that might hit home more for Seattle locals is.. you know how every off-season for the Seahawks and the Mariners all Seattle fans keep thinking their Seattle teams have a chance at signing the high-profile and most desired free agents to Seattle every year? I mean.. how can they NOT want to come to Seattle right? good team (questionnable), good area? And notice how consistnetly these signing never happen. Seattle fans blame the front office and yes- blame goes there. But have any Seattle fans thought to consider for a second... maybe #1 and #2 above means most FA's don't really think of Seattle as a destination and thus don't really opine to come to Seattle? While us Seattlites who have moved away miss Seattle.. cheer for our teams.. even reminisce about our times in Seattle.. enh.. not a lot of us really feel strongly about coming back. Most especially now given the politics and expense of living in SEattle. But even before I left, I dont' remember hearing very many stories of people that moved away and then came back (outside of they went to college out of state- but even then.. it was just as common for people to not come back as it was for them to come back). Sorry my dear Seattlites.. but Seattle isn't quite on the minds of the national mindset as mucyh as Seattlites would think. And secretly i think Seattlites want it that way- but they do want to be talked about as if they are.

You aren't a Seattlite. You aren't a local. But for some reason, you're trying really hard to seem like one; perhaps you think that this gives your hatred of Seattle credibility or it gives you the "right" to criticize the city. Whatever the case, I can tell you're a phony. Maybe you lived in Tukwilla for six months, or your dad was stationed at Ft. Lewis for a couple of years; that's about as connected as you are to the area.
