7 trophies in his full seven seasons.. In his eight full season now.. Never got below 76 points, never went below 3rd.. challenge for title season after season. Won league ahead of messi’s barca and ronaldo’s madrid, was in the title race to the end again in 2016 and went to ucl final. Knocked out barca twice, bayern and liverpool all in his first meeting with them in ucl. He won everything except the ucl, hope he gets that soon because he deserve it..

To me at least the reason I really love Atletico under Simeone is that they never quit under any circumstances. Since they also make few mistakes and are I believe tactically more prepared than other teams to take advantage of opposition mistakes it just makes them rough to deal with for anyone. Mentally and tactically they are just better than you, and they are very efficient with their chances. So you'd better beat them on talent or you're gonna lose. Make any sort of mistake and odds are you'll be punished for it immediately.

AKSHUALLY! Helenio Herrera was Argentine, yet his life was spent on many different countries, he even lived in Morocco for years as a kid. He won several titles with Intern Milan including two UCL. Héctor Cuper was also an Argie coach that lost two (00 and 01) UCL finals with Valencia.

Though I supported Real Madrid in 2014 n 2016 UCL final Atletico Madrid was unlucky in both the finals, 2014 final looked like rout but it was not they were few minutes from winning the final, 2016 was decided by penalties n remember griezeman missed penalty in regulation time by the way Atletico defeated Barcelona in 2014 n 2016 in semis n quarters respectively...

Amazing work, huge congrats! The only thing I've missed it's a mention to Tiago Cardoso playing alongside Gabi in the midfield. He had a much bigger role than Suarez and with him in the pitch, Atlético reached the highest peaks in their game.

Simeone is a genius. Simply a genius that’s the word to define him.

What you mentioned at the beginning of the video was not the extent of Atletico de Madrid's success before the Simeone era. It was from the moment they rose back to Primera Division in the early 2000's but before then they had won 9 La Liga titles and had even reached the Champions League final in 1974. He has transformed the club and Atleti is now in the best era of its entire history but to say they had only won a Europa and a SuperCup is not true.

My grandfather was born in 1927. My uncle Jose Ricardo was born in 1954. You cannot find bigger Atleti supporters. We all say this is best era each have seen. Back in 1939-1960 was Atleti beating Champions League winners over two legs? Was they beating Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Arsenal... in European competitions mostly UCL?! No.

They need to nail down some enduring transfers, can’t keep swinging and missing. Should have never lost out on Lautaro and Bruno for example and need to bring in players who fit the system and aren’t a square peg.

well they have been my favourite side since simeone took over. One of the strangest sides in UCL and la liga history, they really love the tag of underdogs inspite of such success. The favourites tag wear them down - loves to be the dog on the corner whom nobody notices but slowly would come behind you and tear you down. Diego simeone - well his story with ATM deserves a good documentation. followed their progress - and to be selfish i want him to reach at- least 3 more UCL finals, win 3 more uefa cup and at- least 1 more la liga. If he ever leaves ATM would love him to come to inter or lazio, so that he can rewrite his renaissance in serie a by breaking juve grip in the league, and bring UCL pedigree to these clubs (whichever he chooses)
