Thanks for sharing your experience ! 👍 Actually, I had the same problem as you. I suddenly had a crash when my machine had been working wonderfully for 3 months. I also got error 55 looping on startup with unable to access bios. Obviously, channel A was bugged while on channel B, the RAM was working fine. I had several suspicions of failure (memory, poor CPU pressure, faulty motherboard...) then I came across your video. I then replaced my 12900k and BAM, everything works perfectly again. So I think there is a serious memory controller problem on the first versions of Alder Lake. 🙄

@@ravenwolfe8263 I’m not sure if you have the same issue but I had to end up taking out my ram sticks and putting them into different slots, and I needed 1 stick in at once, rather than both. For some reason, that got my monitor to display. Then I went into the BIOS and changed some settings then I was able to turn it off and put in both ram sticks

Thanks for the video. I’m working through a similar issue with an i7 11700k. Getting a different motherboard to check it out. Very helpful video. I’ll try it and see. I’ve also seen where your CPU cooler can cause RAM issues as well.

@@SirSone1 I sure did. I had a few pins on the motherboard that were bent. The bend was so slight though. I compared all the pins and noticed that a few look slightly "different". I bought another motherboard to test the CPU and RAM and it worked perfectly. So I returned my defective board and was refunded. I'm glad that I bought it from Newegg. Whichever pins those were affected the RAM slots. The RAM and CPU still are working great, it was just that specific board. It was not the CPU cooler either. Although I also checked that too. I guess it pays to have a few extra parts laying around.

@@nickschatko Thanks for your answer sometimes my pc gets stuck at 55 like a few times a week, but I just hold in the power button and it takes me to bios then windows and then I can reboot the pc normally, but it happens every now and then you think my motherboard could be faulty too?

@@SirSone1 Another good question. You have to rule out somethings before you blame the hardware. I would make sure that your ram sticks are seated correctly. Also make sure they are clean. Try each stick one at a time. Also check to make sure the cooler is properly and evenly tightened. Check that your firmware is updated as well. If you feel comfortable, also consider checking the seating of the CPU. If none of these work, you should try and test your hardware on another computer before you replace it. Try and isolate the parts. I am willing to bet thought that your cooler might be related to the problem. I assume that your code comes after the computer is on for sometime? The heat and how the cooler is applying pressure might cause this problem.

@@SirSone1 And to be clear, mine would not post with dual channel memory, no matter how I did it which help to narrow down the cause. Because yours is intermittently I would try and check all the seating. I hope this helps.

Hello guys i get the code Q-55 everythings is turning on but my monitor is not displaying nothing and is showing this orange or amber light in the motherboard i dont know what it can be 😢😢😢😢

I have a Z390 on my asrock Phantom Gaming X sometimes has code 55 even with disabled MRC FAst Boot G memory. Skill was chosen the one that is listed on the motherboard manufacturer's website as tested for compatibility and overclocking, the firmware for the latest BIOS did not help. there are no bent legs in the processor socket and in the RAM slots all the memory and processor contacts are clean. I even bought other dice from G.Skill, the same trouble or the motherboard is shit or she doesn’t like dice from this manufacturer. After 2 unsuccessful starts, the BIOS itself resets the BIOS to default, after I load the saved BIOS settings preset, it is saved and the computer boots and works stably, but randomly when rebooting, 55 code can fly out even with an XMP profile, either with manual overclocking, or with default settings. Tech support writes try another processor, but what's wrong with that, then I took the boxed version of 9900k, it works stably, no problems were noticed in the work. The percent is in stock without overclocking. Overclocking removed the memory from 3600 to 2666, it became less common to appear 55 code but did not disappear completely.

Hi, thanks for the video. I have a similar problem but little deeper than this. I just got a new cpu a i9-13900k and after installing I’m getting error code 55. I tried every way a2 only, b2 only, a1, b1, individually, together, you name it I tried it. Before I had a i7-12700k and 4 Corsair sticks on same motherboard and everything was working fine. Can my cpu memory controllers all be bad? Thanks

The cpu internal memory controller can't handle 4 stick with high frequency. Reduce the memory speed and or timing.

I only get this when i have 4 sticks. 2 it works.
