I get that the gentlemen hanging on a cross at the beginning of the video stated they had no difficulty breathing, (and they obviously aren’t going to completely replicate the trauma) but they didn’t just get done watching nails get driven through their wrists after carrying an 80lb cross across town post whipping. Anyone who was prior military and experienced stress shoots involving muscle failure PT and full combat load rucking for miles, can attest as to how those elements alone can contribute to extreme breathing difficulty and muscular instability to shoot a firearm, let alone support body weight on a cross. Watching this reminds me how I deserve that treatment as a sinner, and not Jesus. 💔 He was innocent

How funny that this religion teaches people that they are sinning trash and they should see themselves as such to the point you have people like you saying you deserve to get brutally executed. And so funny how this "loving god" had his own "son"(he never existed nor was he the son of some god) executed in the most painful way possible as the only way possible to redeem us for Eve eating a freaking fruit. So funny how this was his solution at "saving" humans from a "sin" he set them up to do. Not only it was he that created the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil but he sparkled their curiosity with mentioning it,didn't have the tree guarded and even before "creating " humans he had their destiny to eat the fruit and "sin" already decided. There was nothing to choose. It was already predetermined that they would eat the fruit. HE SET THEM UP. And so funny how we must endure death and all kinds of hardships and his "son" had to be brutally executed because Eve ate a goddamn fruit. Like jeez that's some next level pettyness.

Not religious but his last words along the lines of “father into your hands I commit my spirit” were powerful showing even in suffering you must have faith. He suffered for 6 hours, torture, humiliated, his body would have been dislocated and his rib cage would have broke in half his head unable to keep itself up. He also carried that crucifix on his back through a town. This is torture, yet he still forgave and asked the father to forgive, and received salvation for us. I am no theist when it comes to God, however the message is powerful and in the most respectful way if it is real, my god.. what a hero.

The Crucifixion was so brutal. The Romans perfected this execution. Interesting to watch those volunteers on the cross. But imagine witnessing the real deal in the 1st century. It must have been traumatizing to watch others go through so much pain.

I love these little places where religion and science can meet and interact peacefully... I just wish that this could be more of the world than just little places. Since Easter is tomorrow, and I haven't been able to attend services because of the pandemic, I figured I'd do a little last-minute reading up when I came across this. It helped make the story more real for me.

@@MrStars-bj9yf to clarify, in Luke 23:46, Jesus tells the Father that he is going to give him his spirit. The decision to give up His spirit looks more like a choice to finally die instead of the cross, which signifies death, overcoming/conquering Jesus. If I'm not mistaken, it takes a long time die on a cross. The fact that Jesus lasted as long as he did and gave up his spirit shows the very power of God.

Jesus christ is not dead! God Picked him up to the skies (Heavens) and turned a man chasing him in likeness of him. Now they killed that man on the cross as they were thinking that it was Jesus when he was not. Jesus Christ is no in Paradise and will return again to the Earth Just some years before the Doomsday(The end of the Universe) and will Rule the whole world for about 40 years.

When they pierced him water came out with his blood. This actually suggests he may have died of a broken heart. I forget the medical term but this is a likely possibility. All guesswork aside, he died from my sins and yours. What a profoundly loving and merciful God. Let's respect that enough to give him our best, as well as each other as commanded.

I see your point but in hypovolemic shock that leads to death there is change in mentation but we see Christ speaking comprehensive words and even shouting "it is over", and the other thing is, if He was already in hypovolemic shock by the time he carried the cross to golgota He wouldn't have lasted for 6 hours and the reasons would be: 1: the fluid loss worsened 2: infection would set through His scourged skins and sepsis ensues at any time "t" even further worsening the case 3: the asphyxiation wouldn't take less than 6 hours where he has significant drop in his blood volume and exhausted muscles and possibly fractured ribs by the metal balls

Kate Cat You are correct but Jesus goes way beyond being perfect in his heart. It's like a perfect meal. What would you have in it? Now take away a few items it is no longer perfect now is it? Similarly in Galatians 5:22-23 we read about the fruit of the Spirit. How many fruits are there? "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. If you answered 9 you would be wrong. Reread it again. "The 'Fruit' of the Spirit...... 1 fruit made up of 9 elements. Take away any 1 and you no longer have the 'Fruit of the Spirit it is now lacking something'. Hope this helps. God bless

Sam Nur Your statement make me wonder what you believe in. Perhaps you are not a Christian. In Matthew, Mark Luke and John all say Jesus was Crucified. The Romans were experts at crucifixions and no one escaped death once you where nailed to a cross. After Jesus was crucified God rose him from the Dead on the 3rd day. Many people saw him Alive after his death. This is what Paul is referring to

John 3:16 even if you didn't live by the time Jesus died he did it for us all no man will save Jesus we just have to believe in him coz Jesus says that I am the way the truth and the light and most importantly we will repent and forsake our sins
