I am from Bikaner and he's right, that Bhujia shop is still there and its still sold traditionally in a big container straight out of a big kadhai fresh and hot, afterwards packed in paper bags. The shop itself is also intact without the glimmer and shimmer.

Haldirams is super famous snack in South. Total childhood spent with aloo bhujia,sev,moong dal and chips.

Haldiram is a staple here in Nepal too. Loved to realize that it emerged out of humble beginnings.

The place at 8:08 is Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The area dominated by south Indians. A good place for quite affordable Indian food in Kuala Lumpur.

Great video. 1 constructive criticism, if you use your phone to record your videos, please download a good camera app, that could lock your exposure. You could see that the exposure shifts every now and then. Just lock the exposure at a perfect point and outcome will be non-disturbing video quality content. Best of luck…

One more Amazing fact Haldiram is the biggest Snacks brand in India and its unique as it's Lays everywhere else in the world. Haldiram market share in India is literally 63% due to its small size to medium packaging and pricing ( Sachet revolution). Third is Haldirams crazy policy of quality control where they have secret customers around India who shop at random places and report any bad quality and batch back to HQ and it's immediately taken off the shelf, this has helped them a hundred times from counterfeit products being sold as Haldirams in small towns and suburbs.

Many people from outside of Bikaner also make the mistake of pronouncing Bikaner as "बिकानेर" instead of "बीकानेर". Even he does it in the video.

There is still a long way to go for Haldiram. I am yet to see many stand alone Haldiram stores selling exclusive Haldiram products through franchise model. Once that is done, Haldiram would be truly No 1 in its category and waiting for the next expansion.
