How did Germany plan to capture Russian Oil Fields in World War 1?

The warfare was intensely brutal and most people scarcely remember the overshadowed diplomacy that eventually brought an end to the violence. Furthermore, many of the lesser-known conflicts and hidden agendas of the participants in the war have been long forgotten or ignored. One of these particular subjects was the German plan to capture Russian oil fields before the war’s end…

Man, I miss DR of Georgia, It was one of the first countries in Europe to grant women the right to vote. Several women of varying backgrounds were elected to the Georgian parliament, as were representatives of nine ethnicities, including Germans, Russians, Armenians, and Jews. DRG also saw the founding of the nation’s first university. Those damn Bolsheviks!

Bolsheviks aren't genuine leftists. The right loves making Bolsheviks and Bolshevik Communism the left, even just moderate left, because it serves as a means to legitimize the right. "Hey we might be racists, but did you see what them Bolsheviks did?" Liberals: "We hate communism." The Right: "BULLSH*T! YOU DIRTY COMMIES!" Liberals: "What makes you think we are lying?" The Right: "You lie about everything!" Liberals: "Everyone dies." The Right: "LIES!" Then you have those snooty rightwingers who love making you hate them and just brush anything that may question their nature as being good. A good number of those folks are sociopaths and psychopaths. Psychopaths enjoy hurting other people and sociopaths will do anything to remain in control. Basically Psychopathy is uncontrolled Sadism, while Sociopathy is uncontrolled OCD.

The importance of Stalingrad was two-fold: Holding the city prevented the Soviets from cutting off the Wehrmacht in the Caucuses. Also, the Soviet oil required to keep their industry running was transported from the Caucuses and Caspain Sea up the Volga. Stalingrad lay on the Volga, and as such taking the city meant that the Wehrmacht could cut off Soviet oil supplies.

As a Russian, I deeply look down on the revolution and the weak tsar that we had. If Alexander the third was in power, he would've crushed the revolutionaists before they even had a chance to stir anything up. The revolution, financed by external countries, led to massive losses and massive millions of casualties. My family on my mother's side lost 7 family members due to famine induced by the boksheviks who burned down their windfarm. My great grandmother survived because she managed to escape with the help of her neighbors. I will forever hate the bolsheviks. HOWEVER, it is important to note that the bolsheviks from 1918 to 1925 are different in mentality than ones born after and after ww2. I don't hate soviets nor the people that thought in ww2 nor those born during the time line, but those initial terrorists that destroyed the nation, fueled morale loss amongst the troops and fueled delays in factories with constant rioting - affecting supplies to the front - let alone those that took part in the killing of the tsar...they will forever be traitors.

Prior to the revolution and the war, Russia's economy, industrial might, and quality of life was improving every year. The economy was growing 5% y-o-y from 1900 to 1914, civilian purchasing power was increasing, peasants were learning how to practice subsistence farming, railways were built, the government helped small business with investments, changes in landholdings, textile and mineral industries were growing quickly, the nation had a 14% surplus of food, the economy was stable and so were the lives of the people. Additionally, the nation was investing heavily in medicine and education, with the nation's literacy rate increasing from 18% to 42% in 10 years. My great grandmother was a peasant and even she, when she was alive, said the quality of life in Russia was well and food on the table every day was a guarantee.
