Great breakdown on Devon. To beat him, you need to be stronger than him in pronation and wrist strength, and you need to finish it fast. He's a master tactician when it comes to a long drawn war in a match.

If the Lavon match is available and Devon feels confident, why in the world would he arm wrestle a risky match? You can want it and have an opinion about it but it's not going to happen unless Lavon is out for years.

Regardless of who he pulls, people are going to say hes scared of someone. It use to be that he was afraid of Europeans. Since then he's pulled Levan, Ermes, Genadi, Denis, Georgi, Prudnik, etc... He cant pull absolutely everyone all at once. No one has been more active than him. Vitaly seems to have a weakness against the Press. If Dave Chaffee can Press Vitaly... Devon most definitely can.

Great breakdown, I just dont agree with the last statament: "a guaranteed way to beat Devon is to match him in the setup". He is just the best armwrestler, likely ever, in the setup game. He has the skill of a setup at the highest level, which basically can not be matched. Thats the reality of armwrestling. And even if Denis, Ermes, Chaffee, Prudnyk matched him in the setup, he would still win those matches and win them 3:0 (with the exception of Prudnyk) very likely. All the other factors you mentioned are still just as big of an advantage as his setup game is.

Georgi needs to explode at the start, the only way he has some chance,..devon can be pressed, Chaffee was depleated, Gennadi was fresh and easily pressed him to pin..But it is highly unlikely Georgi can be explosivem he is a one trick pony but very good at it, he'll try to toproll Devon to little avail, yet I don't think Devon will get his wrist anywhere in the match..this match will be even longer than the Gennadi match, a lot of kings moves on both sides that's what I predict, 4-2 to Devon..

I dont think Overconfidence is much of an excuse. That one goes for half of all the people that lose at armwrestling. The referees werent great, but thats the way it goes sometimes. I think Genadi was just a difficult matchup for him, although in a rematch Id take Devon.

Devon does everything inside the rule, otherwise he would have been declared loser 8n every round by foul before the match starts .

Georgi is a former WAF champion in the left hand. Whereas Devon didn't train his left hand for over 4 years.

Your mental understanding of a set up to your advantage is cheating? What about arm wrestling with or with out a strap? What about starting with one shoulder higher then the other? Shoulder twisted inwards? One arm wrestler is loading more then the other? Kings move? Elbow lifts? Weight cutting? Lastly is there not a referee to prevent cheating? This gray area is not cheating its a learned skill Arm sport you are not trying hard enough because of that you are cheating your self

He's also 400 lb making him almost an entire adult size larger than even other super heavyweights. It's fine. Them's the rules. But they could make a seperate weight class. That kind of mass and strength is difficult to overcome.

Dont kid yourself devon would smoke matt mask with ease today. He is super close to matt and im sure dont want to make his bud feel awful. I guarantee he would hold matt with ease. Back in the day sure matt at time gave him trouble. Today no way. Next id never underestimate georgie. Hes comming in hot and wants it bad. He may be no. 1 someday soon. Next there is no cheating in the set up thats part of arm wrestling the set up to the pin. If you really believe all men are not fighting for that i have land to sell ya in florida. The few that dont dont because there probably horrible getting a set up so they whine a guys so called cheating.

Devon struggling against taller people is a completely made up claim. And last time Matt gave Devon a hard time was during wal. The only way Matt could give him hard time was after Devon sparred 20 people. Also, Cvetkov is not an explosive puller. He is very slow and takes his time to establish control in center.

​@@AthleticMuslim I agree, I also think Zaur has been a bit overhyped for the past year, his technicality and super match experience is not great and I would bet on any top 10 guy to beat him in a super match right now. He's over 40 as well so not a spring chicken either that can destroy everyone in 5-10 years, like Ermes or Morozov. I can add though that he is very strong of course, but as we all know, that's not everything.

I saw Devon cheating in the match with Dennis....he made his shoulder in the middle of the table ...he got lucky to win

Another boring and pointless match, like really, same with Denis. I'm not a Devon fan at all, but at least give him someone we don't expect to completely steamroll
