    I have cf and I got covid-19 in late January, early February. I am a fairly healthy 19yr old with cf with lung function above 100%. My lung function went from 110 and dropped all the way down to 70%. I still cant prove I had it but i was hospitalized for 2 weeks. The drs were in denial at this time still, and kep telling me i was vaping. The thing is i do not vape or smoke cigerettes. I got very sickly and almost died in my opinion... But all they kept saying was you need to "stop vaping bc it is causing your lungs to collapse ", and even went as far as to ask my mom to shake down my own room while i was hospitalized.. If happens to get it, need to make sure you get him admitted quickly and put on iv tobramycian, and cefepime. It kicked my secondary pneumonia infection fairly quickly, I was super sick first 7 days in hospital, after the 7th day my voice came back and I was actually able to breathe. I never had to be put on a ventilator bc we caught it quickly enough. If they catch the secondary pneumonia infection quickly enough, the iv antibiotics can work. Just saying, there is hope out there if someone w cf does get It, but beware if cf person gets it, the virus itself mutates and passes along to ur family members much harsher.. my whole family has it and none of us can get tested... I am over it now, and I feel better than I have in months! but now my household has it so im just watching them slowly go thru this while still not having proof any of us have it.. :(

    @@Scoo0by omg! Yes it is scary! My husband has 73% lung capacity. Before going on Trikafta he was at 64%. When he was sick with the flu (b-strain....flu vaccine does not prevent) His lung function went down to 43%, oxygen at 80. Got sepsis and a pulmonary embolism. He was at deaths door and it scares the crap out of me. I don't want him getting covid-19 at all! So glad you are okay and pray your family gets through it. Stay strong and sending good vibes your way!

Thankfully I recovered and have no breathing problems now, but before the coronavirus pandemic I didn't know much about what had happened to me or how serious it all was. @@00Punk Thank you so much for continuing to work! You are brave and so strong! It started with tonsilitis which caused a lung infection which caused pneumonia. I went into septic shock from the infection so things went downhill really quickly. I'm 18, and I didn't experience any chest pains at all. I experienced shortness of breath and a very high heart rate from the ARDS, I remember not being able to hold my breath for any longer than three or four seconds. From what you describe of your symptoms it seems to me that you are likely ok, but I would just stay conscious of your breathing!

    We have no control over COVID-19 or the quality of food we eat , quality of air we breathe, quality of water we drink ....but what's really in our control is our body's intelligence called IMMUNITY. Everyone's immune system is what keeps them healthy and active. If that's been compromised - we open ourselves to a plethora of diseases. So in a way .... Good to hear your son managed to recover. I see most people trying tneir level best to take precautions (some can't afford or find masks but still managed to come up with a home-made contraption to cover up). Sadly, in some areas, people WANT to spread the disease. It's like spreading AIDS, where the mentality is "if I'm sick, you should be sick too, I won't suffer alone". We had infected people running out of hospitals, going to public areas and other hospitals to cough and knowingly spread the disease. The government is taking legal action and had to put an island-wide curfew because some careless people vengefully spread the disease further. It's amazing how selfish and inconsiderate some people can be, even while dying

    Another reason of respiratory problems is that if you don’t regularly take part in physical activity or have a healthy lifestyle, then you are more at risk. This is because of the plaque build up in the lumen (arteries) which constricts the blood and oxygen flow around the body. This is why it is important to keep an healthy and active lifestyle during this pandemic and try to eat healthy to reduce fat build up within your arteries.

    not exactly. if you have higher percentage of muscles compared to your body weight, you are likely to be in greater danger. That is becoz muscles consume more oxygen, so your lungs will have heavier duties to cope with. So over excising, like overweight, is definitely not good for your health in this situation.

  • @AmritSingh-iv5wh

    @AmritSingh-iv5wh

    Leiming Gu I agree, however my point is that due to larger amounts of plaque within the lumen, this makes it harder for the blood to go around the body as it is constricted by the plaque within the arteries. As shown in this video, gaseous exchange is much harder to perform efficiently. Therefore making it much harder to transport oxygen into the body and take carbon dioxide out of the body. Having blocked arteries will certainly affect this and therefore it is important to do moderate exercises and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle

    The best defense for any illness is prevention first. In this case, it means practicing all the suggested social measures and paying attention to hygiene. In the long term, it means always taking good care of yourself: good nutrition, exercise, rest, stress reduction and working for the health of the environment we share with all living beings. Many more people die from inconvenient things like poor air quality or hunger than have died from COVID19. We must do better or worse things will happen. The real lesson in this pandemic is that we are not prepared to cope when something really disastrous happens.

My Dad had Diabetes and high BP, but under control and mild COPD...was 82 ....but we feel cheated that he had to pass like this. He passed on the 24th day of hosp.....here in India....there is very little we come to know about the patient in Covid ICU....I wanted to ask you whether my Dad felt any pain during his ICU days....the hosp declared that he passed due to septic shock with multi organ failure.. he had acute AKI which we believe was due to Covid....we are shattered....this is not the way to go....we were not even allowed to have custody of his body.

    Boris Johnson didnt have pneumonia, he was in hospital mostly as a precautinary measure, because he is a number 1 person in a country and his symptoms didnt went away and he was sick for longer time. You must be aware, that the information in this video shows one patient without telling which pre-conditions or age this person have. And it shows the example of severe cause of the covid-19: pneumonia. Most of people did not get this strong severe conditions after infection with SarsCov2. Do you have any statistics for your country (im not from USA) that shows the age and pre-conditions distribution of ILL people.

    I believe there are options for prevention and treatment that entail two possible approaches: We know the primary avenue of attack are the lungs, and once in, they attach by means of the spicules or "spikes". Their primary target or "receptor" are the ACE-2 or angiotensin-converting enzymes, same as that of SARS-CoV, on the epithelial cells of the lungs. Right there is one strategy for a form of intervention using nebulized or detached bonding receptors, akin to chelators or in fact serpins, serine protease inhibitors. Beside Remdesivir, Pyridone type, and specifically an alpha-ketomide inhibiting compound "13b" will likely emerge as promising along these lines within the body. This compound disables the sars-cov-2 cleavage enzyme on the attachment spikes (TMPRSS2 transmembrane serine protease). Since this is a papain-like enzyme, the inhibitor will not affect the human serine enzymes, like trypsin, amylase, etc. It could be used externally as well to attach aerosolized virii and they'll be inactivated even if they are inhaled. Paper on Alpha-ketomide inhibitor Compound 13b: Crystal structure of SARS-CoV-2 main protease provides a basis for design of improved α-ketoamide inhibitors Linlin Zhang Daizong Lin Xinyuanyuan Sun Ute Curth4, et als. science.sciencemag.org/content/early/2020/03/20/science.abb3405.full ------- Another approach is in terms of direct digestion of the virus by hydrolases like amylase, trypsin, chymotrypsin, carboxypetidase, lipase and most importantly RNAase. Intramuscular injections of amylase and trypsin were proven to resolve malaria very effectively by Lambelle in the early part of the 20th c. The ratio of amylase to trypsin was 2:1, and was well tolerated. His paper is available as a link below. While malaria is not a virus, the process of infectant inhibition of native enzymes taxing the whole system is akin and the strategy of bolstering it is rational. Futhermore the glycoprotein of the viral spike is very susceptible to degradation by amylase which enables full access of the pancreatic proteases or their serum analogs. It is worthwhile to also research the potential of external nebulized colloidal silver in air systems and bound to fiber masks, as an effective means of external denaturing the virus. As for inhaled nebulized colloidals, I am aware of only one article on an inhalant or in nebulized form: Journal of Nutritional & Environmental Medicine: Viral Pathogens and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome: Oligodynamic Ag+ for Direct Immune Intervention Eric Rentz Do Comm Cnmo www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/13590840310001594061 ---- For structure of viral components, also see: Structure, Function, and Antigenicity of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike Glycoprotein Authors: Alexandra C.Walls David Veesler www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0092867420302622 ---- A transcription I did of Dr. Lambelle's paper on malaria treatment using amylase and trypsin is available at a mirror of my old website: robertcathey.wordpress.com/the-utility-of-enzymes-in-malaria-by-f-w-lamballe-m-b-major-royal-army-medical-corps/ Lambelle, F. COVID 19 in the UK is not the same as the one in China, the Italian one isn't the same as the American, The Indian one isn't the same as the Australian one it goes on and on. There are loads of strains you got the mild ones, the severe one etc. But as long as you got a strong normal immune system and no underlying health issues you should be alright but this isn't the case for all.

    So the question is... are the patients after recovering healing and the lungs returning to normal capabilities. Or are they permanently scarred and the permanent damage done going to play factor in re-infection?

    I’ve luckily survived. After 5 days of various symptoms headache, fever, body aches, loss of taste and smell etc. the shortness of breath started. I felt it in the deepest part of my lungs, it felt like glass when I took a breath. The next day it got worse I couldn’t take a full breath in my chest felt like there was an elephant on it. I was afraid to go to the hospital but was in contact with my doctor they couldn’t do anything for me. Finally the 9th day I started to feel like I could breath better from that day it took 5 more days for me to feel somewhat normal. It’s now been a month and I still can’t run without being able to catch my breath even a slight run to the car I am gasping for air. I hope there isn’t permanent damage. I am 30 yrs old very healthy and I was afraid for my life but luckily I made it! At risk people need to continue to stay home. The healthy will eventually have to go out. There is no hiding from this. I pray for everyone suffering from this demon virus.

    Exactly, if your body is already fighting an attack from the 5G, it can not handle fighting off a virus. That's why even though it is spreading everywhere as a sickness it is much much worse in the areas where 5G has rolled out.

    I think common use of oxymeter is really important, which can help patients monitor their oxygen level even at home and when their oxygen level is below standard, they can quickly go to hospital and get help. I saw a CNN report about a perfectly healthy 30-year-old man died of Covid-19. It’s really saddening. If he or his wife had had an oxymeter at home, they could have noticed the problem and sent him to the hospital in time.
