How Capable are Russia's New Borei Class Strategic Nuclear Submarines for Deterrence at Sea?
The Borei-class submarines were first launched in 1996 to replace the obsolete Typhoon-class, Kalmar-class, and Delfin-class submarines. The first Borei-A class submarine, the ‘Knyaz Vladimir,' was launched in 2017, with gradual alterations design. Despite increasing prices, the Russian government remains committed to the upgrading effort, which is seen as crucial to maintain the nation's nuclear deterrent. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced to build two new Borei-class nuclear submarines in April of this year. These submarines will deploy long-range cruise missiles and are nearly identical to the earlier Borei-class submarines.

Most knew Russia overestimated their capabilities, but after Ukraine it really has hurt them as looking like a world power.

Why do you say that? Ukraine is fighting not alone, but with NATO military assistance.

@@SilverforceX Russia has a larger military from troops to tanks, aircraft, budget etc. While Ukraine is getting help from some NATO members, it's not like they are receiving aircraft or long range systems to attack inside Russia and the weapons they are getting are generally older variants. Even Russia admitted they thought they would take over Ukraine extremely fast.

you will be surprised, but in terms of the number of nuclear weapons, it was in second place and remained, yes, many write that Russia used all its nuclear missiles against Ukraine and therefore it is not a nuclear superpower, but this is not true, Russia did not use nuclear weapons

@@ThatCarGuyat the beginning of the war, Ukraine had 100,000 soldiers and Russia had 450,000 as well as their 500 tanks and aircraft, but the fact is that 50 NATO countries (which are at war with Russia) they do not have time to produce as much equipment as Russia destroys it. At the expense of long-range missiles, NATO has transferred missiles with a range of 300 km to Ukraine, and the West is also launching attacks on Russia with the help of Drones and suicide bombers on trucks with explosives. Yes, the NATO generals said that Russia would be able to reach Kiev in three days (they reached it in 1.5 days) , but the NATO generals do not serve in the Ministry of Defense of Russia and they have nothing to do with Russia
