22 years in the Navy. 13 of which was on subs. Each and every man on those boats was smarter than the average bear. Every man was a brother and could be counted on to his job flawlessly.

Well, then I guess they were better than the guys in the Army infantry, lol. Was the food as good as the video shows? If so, better than Army mess halls.

Looking back at life as an old retired non military, I regret not having the guts to join the Navy. I didn’t swim. Pretty sure the sub guys are expected to at least swim. So when I say that my family and I are very grateful for your service and all those who serve. Where I worked, we were pissed if we had bad paper cut.
Air Force 26 year veteran here so much respect for our Navy Submarine people I could not do that job. Hats off to you guys keeping our country safe when the homeland sleeps at night and keeps our enemies awake ..

It was 100% the best thing for me at 18, I was a wreck less wild man lol. Appreciate your service. I only got to do 3 trident patrols, 2 on Ohio and 1 on Nevada, then right back to the SSBN to SSGN conversion in the shipyards lol.

I was on a boomer from 1979 1980 but we did not have women on board. Different time it was fun I was young I felt patriotic I loved my country I was proud to serve-----Congratulations Rigged ELECTIONS FRAUD IMPEACHMENT I am no longer proud to serve I have more respect for Russia now they do not pretend to be righteous while lying cheating stealing they are forced no pretend freedom Maybe we should not be proud to be war heros killing people
Personally I don’t think I could fit in there! I think every one who serves in a submarine sure has my respect and they should have a medal for them that serve on a submarine!! God Bless each one of those that serve !🙏🏼☕️☕️

When I served, we received submarine pay as well as special forces pay.
I remember taking a ferry from Long Island to Connecticut with my motorcycle when I was 17 (1987) .......gazing and daydreaming during the short trip a "submarine" decided to surface very close !!!!!.........Scared the crap out of me , looked like a megalodon shark bursting out of the water !!!!........kind of frightening but very cool to witness after realizing what it was .......lol .........Erik

I'm retired U.S. Navy Helicopter Aircrewman-Rescue Swimmer. When I first graduated from the 4 schools I had to complete, our job ASW. I volunteered for a 4 day crew swap. I went on a L.A. class fast attack sub.(I'm from Bham Al and the sub was the U.S.S. Birmingham SSN 695). Anywho, it was fun for 4 days. Learned a lot by but nah, claustrophobic lol. The ID s video is correct, the chow was AWESOME
Hats off to the guys that are taken care of business I'm so claustrophobic I can't even watch the damn video

I've had really cool career that has afforded me much, but this is definitely on my list of "if I could do it all over again." Not sure I would last for careers, and mentally and physically so rigorous, but I'd SO love to give it a whirl for a few months. I've worked with several submariners and have heard some amazing stories - then you watch a video like this and it's hard not to get a little giddy...
I certainly admire and appreciate all the men and women in our submarine force. It must be incredibly hard to be isolated for long stretches of time! I'm quite certain that I couldn't do what they do every day, and words are not adequate to describe the respect I feel. May God bless you every one of your days! 😊😊😊❤❤❤

Make no mistake this is only propaganda.
9:52 I served on a nuclear submarine tender in Guam back in 1973. Boy, things have progressed since then, starting with women serving on board subs. Most civilians don’t realize that the US has mobile nuclear missile launch platforms patrolling the globe 365 days a year. This serves an incredible deterrent to Putin should he do something stupid. This makes each $4 billion sub worth every penny! We should all rest easier knowing this fact.

They usually put them down.
In 1965 we were in a Japanese port drinking when shore patrol quickly rounded us all up to escape to our ship. The locals were upset about a nuke sub in port. I'll never forget, as our little shuttle boat was gliding along about midnight, that we came upon the sub, and what an Erie sight it was. It was like a sea creature lurking for prey. Today the Japanese welcome our subs but it was a whole different experience back then.
It's a good thing it is a volunteer service because there is no way in hell I'd want to be crammed in a tube months on end under the sea. Much respect though.
What a great show. Very easy to watch. No drama great information. I like the way he does the show!
Submariners of whole world is brave which are residing live in water grave. Extraordinary life and valour courage and self confidence.
Nice Video. Of course nothing from the engine room as everything is classified. I am a Plank Owner on the USS Silversides SSN 679. ETN/ Reactor Operator. Our food pretty much sucked. I also served on the USS Vancouver LPD-2. WesPac 1969 into 1970. We ate Good!
A great subject, although maybe we shouldn’t show and share any information to countries that don’t have our best interest , if you know what I mean……. My father was a sailor in ww2, and he had a saying “ loose lips, sinks ships”. Maybe a word to the wise……
Back in the day of War...no country would dare to make a video showing off all our military equipment.

These guys are on duty for 24 7 day after day in a controlled limited space while many of us had jobs in the military working 5 8 hour days with weekends off and off base excursions available. I hope they get compensation when off duty to make up for their dedication to this critical duty.
Not sure showing so much technical machinery is a good idea in case Hamas sees it and builds a sub. OH , wait, they dont need a submarine. They will just dig a tunnel.
I went to prototype school on a submarine. I can't imagine being inside one for three months at a time. I'm glad they send me to a surface ship.
Interesting video, but some of the most interesting information in the VO was not supported by relevant visuals. For example, the technical explanation of the torpedo loading and firing was accompanied by random B-roll of ships blowing up.
Well done for mentioning the defensive tomahawk missiles

Puddle Pirates making the Navy look good? Formerly of the department of transportation and the only branch with a height requirement. Have to be at a minimum 6’ tall. In case your ship breaks down/DIW you can wade to shore. In sonar “A” school at FLEASWTRACENPAC, San Diego…once we were at the “secret” phase the coast guard students were gone. Very odd I thought.
Who noticed Mbappe serving food😂😂
I would literally lose my mind with claustrophobia
Couldn't serve in a sub myself...too confined. But that looks like luxury compared to the old diesel boats!

I love the mindset that we need to actually take some special nuclear submarines like this you know just the parts say up to the ISS space station set up a construction Bay up there right go ahead and put things together actually in space and retrofit them with actual you know space engines and stuff and actually use them as Starships I mean they're already able to withstand high pressure and our air and water tight so it seems like an obvious thing to me.
$4 Billion Nuclear Submarine & WE DONT take care of our own vets?? ALL Imma say...
All that good food and 2 toilers 😂

God bless America
The definition of irony be 1000 feet under WATER in a submarine surrounded by WATER have a fire on board and cant put the fire out. That is irony
6:04 is this the freaking vestibule of a rescue submersible attached to a nuclear submarine? Like, that looks pretty genuine. I didn't think stuff like this would be released to the public. That is pretty fucking badass.

How is constant supply of oxygen under ensured?
The video did not show what it would do if attacked by an enemy submarine and a surface vessel.
Nicht nur der Friedenengel, UNCLE SAM, hat solche Atom-U-Boote.
1. Should go look at a fast attack. The galley is not like a Trident. 2. It is called an emergency air breathing (EAB) system, not whatever long worded statement you used. Do not submit a film about submarines if you do not know what it is like to be on one or at a minimum do your research.
If a woman breaks champagne during a naval launch ceremony for a warship or submarine, it will sink or the war will be lost..~~!! Therefore, you should not leave champagne to a woman~~!!
Damm no woman 😢.. the cleaning crew has a tough job cleaning all those men 🤜✊️
This is a very interesting video but, does the reporter have to try and make every word sound interesting? He called frozen pizza Italian cooking..... He said the cooks are professional culinary experts going on a gastronomic journey...... bro they are making frozen food something a 10 year old can do. That being said excellent video.
