People want more than anything to be seen, and yet they are terrified of being seen because they are afraid of what will be seen. And there is so much we want to hide, and yet we have hidden from ourselves that which is best in us.

Absolutely true. We tend to want to overshare the "good" and hide the "bad", but as a result disassociate ourselves from the things we hide and forget they are also what makes us whole to begin with

I have been following the teachings of Eckhart Tolle since 2013 after going through a shocking and painful divorce at 27 years-old, which shook "my world" and reality as I knew it. All of a sudden, I was alone in the US, without family and friends - I had very little emotional support and had to learn how to rebuild "my life" on my own. The loneliness and disorientation I felt were intense, Eckhart Tolle's teachings was all I had, so I leaned into it heavily, listening to it every day in my solitude and finding comfort in his voice and in the truth I sensed in his teachings. 9 years later, after a difficult journey of uncovering a lot of unconsciousness (the divorce was just the beginning) my life has transformed - I remarried a wonderful man who is kind, loving, patient and we practice spirituality and work on our unconsciousness together, I have started my dream and vision of becoming a spiritual wellbeing coach with a focus on Eckhart's teachings, and my dream of moving to Portugal is finally coming true. I don't want to focus on the "outer layer" only and don't want to give the impression that life is now perfect, we all know this is not the nature of reality. There is still unconsciousness, but more often than not I am aware of it shortly after, so I'm able to let go and not create suffering. I continue to practice presence since I know anything I experience in the world of form is temporary and will eventually dissolve - I want to be cautious not to develop strong attachments to the world of form after manifesting the life that I always wanted. I felt the truth in my bones in everything that Eckhart teaches, but to have put it to the test (how he says it himself), and to now experience and see the truth for myself has been transformational - it has deepened my presence and trust in it, and it is incredibly liberating to feel connected to source throughout normal daily life. Thank you, Eckhart.. I am infinitely and forever grateful for your teachings

Belive me it has. Whatever this man teaches makes us just become numb and ignore what affects the past has on us. The more we run away the more it haunts. It never goes away. If if doesn't seem to affect it has affects subconsciously. Believe me, after following his teachings for more than 2 years I felt I got behind in life and became numb. His teachings will make us more depressed. Believe me and live your life normally. We all have bad days and they affect us. We need to move on and get to better places and people. I have been asking for answers to the terrible situation in Ukraine. I asked the question of who’s ultimately wrong/right. The next day I remembered a KZread video of elephants painting pictures- this rang a huge bell for me - if dear elephants respond so well to care & kindness that they grow to create a drawing of themselves - then what matters most is Love, Kindness, forgiveness, patience etc - NOT death, destruction, mamimg, subjugating etc - peace be with you all ✌️

I have asked myself the same. The answer that came to me was that our world leaders, situations, wars etc are manifested from our collective consciousness...or better said unconsciousness. Our own lower emotions and mindlessness that have not been purified on a personal level are causing the damage in the external world. The "cure" is for each of us to do the inner work, raise our awareness and vibration...10% is necessary to "turn the world around". But the 10% need to vibrate over the level of 500...which is neutrality. All starts with courage. It takes courage to face your shadow.

Do you really think what appears on tv is more important than what doesn't appear on tv? There is much more injustice than the distorted image they are painting for us through the media. The media is an instrument to manipulate people if the world was ruled by people with pure intentions do you think there would be so much poverty injustice and misery? Politics are just a game in which they blame each other to distract people from what is really happening. We the people generally don't want that much just harmony and enough to sustain our family. Then why is there so much conflict? Because those in power play mindgames with us. Devide and conquer always worked. I agree with you, love (understanding forguveness acceptance..) is the answer, the way to overcome our differences.

You could view spaciousness literally also - most of you is spaciousness, the space between atoms/matter in your body/field is way greater than the space occupied by the solid matter. For all we know, we may be tapping into this universal substrate (Atman, anatta, presence, etc.). This connnects the physical to the metaphysical or spiritual dimensions.

We are all an equal unbreakable part of the reason for there being everything rather than nothing at all, and all human attempts to take ownership of and claim exclusive access to the reason for everything rather than nothing at all, are delusional at best and fraudulent and cruel at worst. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I have tried to practice the idea I call it 80% rule of Eckhart. It is at 10+min when he said 20-15%form vs 80-85% spaciousness. I have a good sense of spaciousness - I call transparency when I feel there is no blockages. But as I have been an engineer and management consultant (karma), I may have developed my mind which is curious to ask many questions as if to solve problems or for fun. At 74 yrs old, I thought I had enough exploration and go toward 80% and I have tried. The final verdict is not there. But I relates to what he says here - also with Maharshi's reference. We are a biological beings and as if a tree may grow depending on the threats and opportunities, the situation of how the energy flow may change. I say ride the wave of the universe. Like surfing, I fall off but keep rising up to have a good balance and else to navigate my life. Thank you. Kio

“alert stillness “ “If you are not totally clear, not go with in.” “ spaciousness“ 80% spaciousness and 20% form” when describing your self, it is so hard to explain. But yet I am told, through various narratives “that I do not need to explain myself.” Where does “consciousness “fit in to your self descriptive statements? The fact you are not reading notes is incredible, you are a true gift to mankind. And inspiration. I am now starting to learn, very slowly, that little bites of knowledge, is equivalent to a half inch versus 10 miles. It is one and the same. I am sure you have covered “consciousness “, and much specific detail, my question is, how does spaciousness compare to consciousness, if at not at all, or I would love to hear your opinion on the two of them and how they blend and complement each other?

To have this understanding as knowing is good long journey.

OMG I'm so happy I stopped following this man. I followed him for about 2 years and it messed my life. So so glad I've stopped. Though I'm not in better position but God his teachings really fked my mind. I had become like a rock without any emotions. So numb.

Not angry. Laughing at a society/culture that buys into "spiritual" false perceptions to comfort them. It's sad on one level and hilarious on another. It doesn't bother me how organisms allow themselves to be duped. Intelligence or ignorance? 😊

If it doesn't bother you James then why the need to comment? Are you sure you wouldn't rather talk to other people rather attempt to mock them? We don't have to agree on everything with everyone to be able to find common ground and happiness 🙏🙏🙏

@@johngreen4683 maybe without knowing it (or they don't care) some people come to the comment section to get their workout doing ego pushups? i have gotten into "arguments" in the comments that i later realized were just ego defensive, protecting some investment in "a personal belief",etc.& it taught me, via seeing it in print what actually was calling the shots, ego...

@@mindsigh4 hi Carl this is true, i personally i have learned enough about myself and other people to understand that people who troll are unhappy people who don't know how to express their unhappiness or ask for support, so they attempt to spoil others happiness in order to compensate. The irony is people like James would actually benefit the most from Eckharts understanding of the human mind and why we do what we do. I personally am not really into the spirituality side of things even although i genuinely believe in us all being part of something much bigger than ourselves, but i totally respect others enjoy the spiritual side of Eckhart and i am really happy for them to enjoy every bit of it 🙏. As long as none of us get all preachy with each other and try to get others to believe what we believe then i can't see why everyone can't enjoy the videos equally 🙏🙏🙏
