How bow designs effect what you SEE

Спорт

Bow designs will EFFECT what you see. Some of the newer bows on the markets cause some interferance with the sight picture. Many of you have reached out asking "what's causing me to see less of my scope or have cables in my sight picture. This is caused by some of the newer sight mounts, sight blocks, riser shapes and also roller guards that hold your cables clear of the arrow. I personally don't like an option that doesn't give me a clear picture, but there are some choices you can make to help the issue.

Thankyou awesome approach to something that should not be a issue. Excellent presentation and explanation

I just noticed that too on my bow. Must have to have the right sight for the particular bow design.

Great vid John I bought a new bow last summer,a SS 34 black gold dual track two pin direct mount. The windage block on the black gold shows up at 3 oclock on the site. I might try onther site.👍🏹

I’m confused on this one. No matter if it’s a pic mount or on the side of the riser, the housing has to end up in the same spot. If the riser cuts off 1/4 of your housing, no matter where you mount your sight it’s always going to cut off 1/4 of your housing if it’s at center shot. No?

Ya Im confused on that too. You dont get to pick how far left or right it is. Must be misding something.

Correct, at least i agree for whatever that is worth. Btw, i do have a bow with minimal clearance and 1/6 of my sight is hidden behind the riser. There is no way to fix it. Unless i get cam spacers or a smaller scope

Yes I also have two bows with picatinny rail mounts for the sights and dovetail mounts for the rests and I still continue to use the traditional mounting style sights and rests . I don't use the picatinny sight mounts because I much rather use dovetail style target bow sights and as for the rest mount I have found the core mounts for the Epsilon rests doesn't mount up correctly to give me a solid bullet hole when paper tuning so again I stick with the traditional mounting options 👍

Huh? Doesn’t matter what mount you’re using to achieve a bullet hole😂 Tune the bow to the arrow. You could have the rest held on with duct tape and as long is it doesn’t move you’ll be able to tune the bow..

This has been a problem for me for years with my sight being hidden behind the riser, had to shift the rest out along with the sight to get clearance, quick paper tune and its shooting money!

As I am new to Archery...I find it fascinating that there is pretty much no standard when it comes to what works with what. And can be way over complicated.

The position of the sight depends on the manner of holding the bow. Different people have different ways. Personally, I can adjust the bow to different torques, while the position of the rest and the sight will be different. The question is whether it is possible to hold the hand the same way from shot to shot, so first I choose the most repeatable position and adjust the bow to it, and the position of the sight is less important.

Torque induced at full draw varies from different manufacturers Mathews is very minimal with the alignment of the rest at 13/16ths and the string and pin barely peaking out passed the string at full draw with a floating yoke system spread away from the cams on a Advanced Vectoring System to greatly reduce cam lean.

Any recommendations on shooting with glasses? Hunting in Kansas drew on a 10pt but lost him in the sun glare. Left my glasses in camp & shot a 11pt 157". I can see my pins good just everything else is fuzzy looking.

Putting your sight way to the left/ off-center, aren't you asking for more trouble now that you are having to push your rest over and the arrow is not being projected straight from the force of the string?

I have a Mathews V3 31 I use for 3D with a cbe trek pro 2v using the dove tail mounted to the outside and my riser blocks about a 1/4 of the housing if I shoot with one eye but if I shoot with both eyes open which I do its not an issue. but I think with mine its just how my top hats are for it to tune for my grip.. because if I tourqe the bow it goes away but so does arrow flight...
