Thank you for the information! Looks like I'm looking for a house with a basement instead of trying to squeeze everything into a room.

The 9 footer is actually the pro table length. The 8 footer is the favorite for home owners. 7 footer as you said is bar sized like the coin-op ones. 5 feet all around the table for best results.

Depending on players stance even safe to have 6-7' around for rail shots. If a player gets down on the shot so chins close that means back leg will be good ways past end of cue. For actual league or serious players tgere is nothing fun about not being able to take a natural stance on a shot

I thought about including that size... Do you think it's too small? Do you wish you had a bigger one?

I currently have a nice 9 ft pool table which is very nice..I had an 8 ft pool table before and I think people enjoyed the 8 footer more than the 9 footer...maybe cause 9 ft is harder to play since is longer and pockets are narrower? Thinking about selling 9 to get an 8ft table. We don't play professionally just for fun in my garage man cave...debating between selling my 9 footer to get an8 footer..what kind a felt and bumpers should I get ether for 8 footer or even if I decide to keep 9 footer? I have enough room to play on 9 footer, well I have a pub round table on corner of garage with 2 barstools and people have to move when shooting from that corner. Also I have just barely enough room along wall to shoot..however I was thinking about putting a shelve along wall for drinks etc, etc..but tje shelve will definitely get in the way when shooting from that side of wall..so that's why I was thinking about 8 footer to just have a little more space Maybe get a nice Dimond pro with good bumpers and blue felt, or upgrade my current 9 footer with good bumpers and blue felt too:)

Hey! Thanks for the comment. Honestly, I think I would be worth it for you to go to an 8ft table so you have more space. Especially if you and the guys are trying to play professionally. For felt, I'd give this a look: amzn.to/39rrqt2 I am partial to begendy, but that's just me. Your bumpers would depend on your preference... sounds like you are doing it right though, it's about making a space to spend time with the guys, not just the table.

A "that guy" pool table? Lol...wtf. A 9ft table is actually a pro table, not an 8ft.
