Amazing Modern Pool Table Makeover 🎱

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We've had an old hand-me-down pool table in our basement for some time now. The slate is in great shape and the size was perfect for our space but it was in need of a serious overhaul. So we decided to give it a face lift and it turned out even better than we both could have imagined. In this tutorial I will detail how we took an old 7ft pool table and gave it a new modern look. From building new rails, to recovering and installing new legs and aprons. This table is exactly what we wanted and saved us thousands compared to buying a new one. #pooltable #billard #diy #diyprojects

I hate to be the bad guy here but those new legs will get in the way of where you need to stand for some corner shots. Look at the original design. Nothing to block your footing. Looks nice. Just not as playable.

Great job on applying the felt to the top and bumpers. My only question is how do you level the table?

I prefer the before. "Modern" just means it looks like all the other "modern" tables lol.

Great work on that pool table guys! The only thing that I would have done differently is to round off all of the corners of the table. Now lets shoot some pool! 👍👍

Looks great, So what is the technique for measure ring the Diamonds/ markers in rails pls ? many tables don't have them including mine I'd like to add them on mine.

Nice table. I like how you used the old table to measure out the new. The only thing I would consider is adding more support beams running under the table for the slate. Which would help keep the slate from warping. With more of a frame you can then add shims to support the slate and help level the slate.

You made that look easy great work. I didn't see a full game played on the table but if the table is playing slow (not easily hitting three rails end to end from behind the break line). Upgrading those rail connections to be able to really tighten them down and confirming the ball is contacting the rail at just over 60% the height of the ball could be the issue. If the ball is prone to jumping up in the air off the rails they are too low. I saw you confirming your angles but a very Small deviation in overall height will significantly effect the play of table. Again great work a table like that costs 8 grand or more these days

I like the idea of upcycling, what did you use for the “cushions” you said you couldn’t re use in the corners or where the holes are, you never said exactly what those replacement black pieces were. Is it foam, plastic, rubber?! And, for any project using red oak, after bleaching the red oak with the lye mixture did you sand once dry before applying wipe on poly and is it possible to use rubio monocoat instead of poly?!

Great work! I'd move those chunky legs inwards though, you're going to be bumping your legs and feet into them a lot during play.
