for 36:00 as Bubbles said "it's not about the chosen ones, it's about the odds" makes me recall the fanfic "Once in One Hundred Lifetimes" oneshots chapter 17 is about alternative universe where Madge and Gale are reaped in place of Katniss and Peeta and rebelion plays of the exact same, and despite it there is a semblence of fate, because Peeta and Katniss still fall in love, but without cameras. AND when you think "canonwise" if it weren't Peeta & Katniss then it would be Cato & Clove or alternative universe Gale and Madge, Gamemakers would pick anybody with chemistry; well besides Marvel and Glimmer maybe, district 1 and pro-Capital, plus I don't think movie's pink feather or books' silver sprayed body(?) that makes me think of The Wizard of Oz with Drew Barrymore, where Max Factor prepared the characterization for the tin man and the actor almost died due to aluminium poisoning during shoot - AND either feathers or silver spray would make as powerful of a rebelion symbol as Everlark's fire and mockingjay. 57:00 Thank you for mentioning doctor Gaul, in the movie she seems almost comedic, while in the book I imagene her tone and cadence to that of Il Dottore from Genshin, the guys is scary in game plus experiments on humans and I don't want to go full on Genshin theory in, but regions of Genshin are inspired by the culture and pop culture of the regions they are based on Fontaine which oh god is a mix of France, England and Ancient Rome that in game became Atlantis (Remuria) in Arlecchino story quest we learn of the orphanage The House of Hearth whose former-director The Mother made children fight in the Games against each other. And the weak children or those who were almost dead were sent to Il Dottore as test subjects. For which I also align it Arlecchino (Peruere) and Clevie have similar personalities and theme to Katniss and Peeta respecitively + um... their Games happen both at 16, it's show better in the animation short, regadless. BUT it all makes me question because in none of the books as far as I recall Collins doesn't mention tribute's bodies returning home? So in coclusion if the bodies weren't returned to the district, what happen to 1725 children for the past 74 games? Mass grave is a posibility, but with how close Dr Gaul and probably people who were her under-studies/apprientace were to the Games and the government themselves it wouldn't be suprising that Dr Gaul was experimenting on the fallen tributes as she did on avoxes possibly creating the mutts of 74th games by mixing the dna of the fallen tributes and wolf and injecting them into avoxes to create a sort of werewolf, opposed to the digital creation shown in the film [PS. edit here; I've written it mid watching and then you came up with Avox to Mutt theory and wow, makes so much sense; it's cruel, but it makes so much sense]. But while that chase Katniss describes them as human eyes and furr resembling hair colors, they don't call them wolves or werewolf do they? it's as if werewolf concept was not known to them so... Twilight, Edward, Bella and Jacob aka the love triangle did not survive to the "the Huger Games times"? Continuing on avoxes; if "the worst punishment" was cutting-off the tongue and them rebeling would be just "death" like for the district folks, wouldn't we see more avoxes rebelings? meaning that death is the lighter punishment more of freedom or silencing comparing to posibly becoming the test subject/mutt.

1:07:00 writing-reaction and stoping video; HIVE MIND THE WASP HIVE was right in front of us all these years! that I have to point out, Peeta hissing could signal him being close to "hive mutt", connecting to the hive and if in District 13 they had mutts *let's say for study* or avox-mutts, Peeta rehabilitation from highjacking would't have worked at all, just because he's far away from the hive he can be himself. Which means... Peeta is like Barry B. Benson from the Bee movie, he needs to be far away and for the hive mind to shut to be "back", and the flashbacks could come from PTSD

Your point about the 'odds' rather than the 'chosen ones' is definitely interesting because all the Capitol wanted was entertainment (love that a fanfic has Katniss and Peeta still falling in love). Dr. Gaul - totally creepier in the books and scares Snow more than anything else he encounters throughout the novel. We obviously don't know if the avox theory is true but if it is, I bet you're right, the avoxes don't rebel in masses because they will be punished, tortured, and turned into mutts and I think that's something that would make Dr. Gaul even scarier

@@susudraws the bee movie reference is unhinged but I love it. The hivemind is so relevant with the tracker jacker venom and Suzanne Collins just had to have meant for us to pick up on that

Not gonna lie I'm onboard for the depressing Gale theories because even before the double bombs I hated how possessive he acted over Katniss

Yes! Just because Snow was worse than Gale, doesn't mean Gale wasn't almost an antagonist in Katniss's life in his own right

@@CJs_Galaxy Exactly! Just because he's friends with Katniss doesn't mean he should feel comfortable to shame her about what happened in the games or how conflicted she feels about falling for Peeta (imo). Love your videos BTW!!!!

I think the movies/tribute guide imply differently, but according strictly to book canon Cato and Clove were *probably* both 18, as it's stated that tributes from Career districts are trained until 18 (at which point they volunteer). I think Cato is explicitly stated to be 18 but I could be wrong?

I also did think they were eighteen because they were career tributes but I usually go off of how old the actors for the movie were, and I think they were a bit younger
