Thanks again Triwood for another video. It seems there is more work in making a small tyre than there is a big one. Keep the videos coming! Cheers!!!

For anyone wondering about the 8 psi bit, if you look at the gauge it was reading in bar. 1 bar being around 14.5 psi, 8 bar would be 116 psi, burst pressure of nearly 300 psi.

awesome video, but the numbers are off ... at the end, the narrator says the tire explodes at 20 PSI. this isnt right. the gauge pictured on the machine reads in bars. 1 bar is about 14.5 PSI. So when the tire exploded, it was actually at 290 PSI.

I'm using recycled tires for a project where I cut the beads off. How can I flatten out the side to side curve of the tire? I want to get it back to the flat state like in the video. I am trying to make flat straps with the used tires.

Au: aurum (gold), Ag: argentum (silver), Hg: hydrargyrum (mercury), Fe: ferrum (iron), Pb: plumbum (lead) , Sn: stannum (tin), Cu: cuprum (copper), Pt: platinum, Mo: molybdenum, Ta: tantalum, Al: aluminum (aluminum). However I am with the British on this one as aluminium being the more sensible, although I am an American. Usually the British take the maximally quirky and inconsistent path possible, so the reason for this one remains a mystery.

The last piece of information regarding the land speed record has now been broken. It is 296 km/h (183.93 mph) by a woman, Denise Mueller-Korenek, on 17 September 2018 at Bonneville Salt Flats behind a converted rail dragster with a fairing.

The narrator goofed. that's 20 Bar, not PSI. The unit is written on the bottom of the gauge. PSI Equivalent is 290-ish.

The destructive test gauge reads neally 20 BAR that 290 PSI (pounds per square inch) NOT 8 psi as the narrator says,my bike tyres are normally run at 35 psi. rec.

I would be interested to know, because I don't know, if the British followed suit and use platinium, modybdenium, and tantalium.

What tire can only handle 20 psi? I can barely run that low with tubeless tires, forget tires with tubes. You'd pinch flat every time you hit that curb.

The narration is pretty poor. The kevlar strings aren't to 'make the tyre bullet-proof', they're there to make it a folding tyre as opposed to a wire bead that would make a non-folder. Also, the heat doesn't make the rubber expand into the tread, a high pressure air bladder forces it into the tread pattern as the tyre is heated up.
