How and Why I Started My Burpee Journey!
In this video I share a little about how I started my journey with burpees and bodyweight training.
Training or exercising with burpees has been extremely beneficial to me both physically and mentally.
In this video I also share why I believe burpees are the right exercise for you to start using today.
Here are the two channels I mentioned in the video. They both have been, and continue to be, a constant source of encouragement and inspiraton.
@IronWolf84 and @StrongandConditioned
Thanks for listening and for giving me a few minutes of your time!

You kid, but it’s the truth🤣. I hate giving out tickets too by the way. But in the end we all have a job to do. Treat people with respect and how you yourself would want to be treated, and things generally go well. Thanks so much for dropping a comment. I greatly appreciate it 👍.
I agree with that idea. You are a very insightful and outspoken person. I could relate very much to every word you said. I am lucky to know you!

Thanks a lot for leaving that comment. I’m glad you could relate as well. I wouldn’t say I’m outspoken but I do feel strongly that burpees and bodyweight exercises, are a great option for people who live busy lives. I’m lucky to have your support. Have a great day my friend!
Enjoyed the talk. Absolutely agree with people waiting for the "perfect time" to start. I remember a friend of mine deciding he was going to get fit. He was going to start with a work colleague and was recounting to me his conversation with him. They got each other going with talk of runs and push ups, sit ups for the essential six pack, burpees and all sorts of plans. The colleague had just been watching Rocky and they were brimming with enthusiasm. "Right...this is it" announces the colleague, "fitness here we come!" He then looks out of the window and says, "We've just got to wait till the weather gets warmer and then we can start..."

Amazing. I'm 56, and got into burpees via Iron Wolf during the first Covid lockdown in the UK, when gyms closed. Loved them, and so delighted to still be finding and following the likes of yourself.

Hey thanks a lot for checking out the video and commenting. I really enjoy the simplicity of burpees, and that they can be done anywhere. I think the IW opened a lot of people’s eyes to a new style of training. I hope your knee is doing better these days too. Have a great day!

@David Whitten my knees are ok. Thanks for asking 🙂. Ironwolf did change my way of approaching fitness, especially calisthenics. I always thought calisthenics were for the professional athletes, and i was so wrong now my fear of doing burpees has transformed into love. I now work with them and adjust them according to what my body can do as a 42-year-old woman, rather than avoiding them and missing out on a great and safe move that change the body for the best. Sorry for being that long 😅 best luck to you, sir .
Just a Full Watch for my good friend David. Damm David, A nice explanation why you do burpees daily. i can totally agree with it, so thanks for this share! Wonderful story too, but now you can defiantly helps your family :) David is stronger than ever ;)

Yes sir Tommy man, I can lift the luggage no problem at all now💪 haha. Thank a lot for listening to the video man👊🇳🇱💯!
Thanks for sharing David! I had a similar start. Also 43, practicing law, and came across a "homie" at the gym who introduced me to burpees. Convinced me to cut away from my daily weights routine and got me doing Burpees. Got home that day, and sure enough, I ran into Iron Wolf, Burpee King and Moses Cuevas. I've been hooked since December 16, 2022. Burpees are now part of my daily routine. Every day, after my work out, I hit minimum 150+ Two Pump OG Rocking Chair burpees. Lately, I've been experiencing a bit of knee pain, so I just picked up a pair of Knee Braces for compression. I'm hoping it helps. Now just working on the breathing and will eventually start changing up the routine, maybe incorporating some Navy Seals, etc. Without question - I've received nothing but positive compliments at the Gym - "You're getting toned" "you're looking more defined" etc. I feel great! I feel like I'm 20 years old! I don't know how else to explain it but Burpees have revolutionized my daily gym routine. Congratulations on your Burpee Journey!

Ghosty man, thanks for sharing all that brother👊! Us 43 year olds gotta stick together👍. Have you tried just straight burpees without the RC? Do you think the RC is contributing to the knee pain? Anyway brother, I’m glad you were won over to the dark side of burpees by your gym homie. And I agree with you and the comments you’ve been receiving from people in the gym. Burpees have gotten into the best shape of my life and they clearly have done the same for you. Isn’t it so great being 43 and feeling better then you did in your 20’s. Anyway man, I could go on and on. Thanks for taking a few minutes to comment and be a great support. Feel free to come back whenever and let me know how you are making out with the burpees and your knee👊.

Really wise words. This is why discipline is such an essential skill. When disciplined, I find that you automatically find time in your busy schedules to get a workout in. Yes, there may be the odd times where you just can't do it, but seeking the take out the time to just get something done becomes second nature. The additional benefit I am sure for most of us is that its a form exercise that is enjoyable!

Nice explanation David. Your final point about not needing the perfect scenario, as yours certainly wasn't, to get started on the burpee journey is crucial. It can be difficult to take the first few steps but the discipline that builds will always be triumphant over everything else! And here you are now, as a fine upstanding representative of this community. You certainly were a big encouragement for me in starting to post my own routines, so a big thanks to you for that as well!

After three weeks of every morning running with heavy bag and burpees, dumbell sessions in the afternoon I feel sore as hell on the weekend. It is important not to stop and do light jogging and stretching, coz otherwise you feel worse on Sunday.

Wisewords. I think that applies to everything. There’s never ideal conditions to begin any journey. Burpees or any form of programming of fitness serves as a microcosm of life and perhaps even the way we live it.

That’s right Gus man, just have to get started. I’ve found the focus needed to say complete a long burpee routine, has transferred to other areas, both at home and work. Like if you’ve got a task to complete, just pick away at it one rep (or job or task) at a time and before long, everything is completed. Thanks for taking a few minutes to listen brother. It’s appreciated👊.
Perfection is the 6-count Burpee, and your haircut. Clean! Takes me back to my military days. You have a good barber. Tip him or her well:) You never told me what you buys carry? Looked like HK to me? Also, are Mounties like FBI and/or US Marshals? You're federal? But there are local organizations right?
@DavidWhitten
Жыл бұрын
High and tight👍. It’s the only way to go in my opinion!! I’ll be sure to let “her” know you liked the cut. Smith and Wesson 9mm, C8 carbine and the tried and tested 12 Gauge shotgun. And the RCMP is a federal organization correct. So in that sense, they would act the same way as the FBI would for you. However at the same time we are also hired by the different Provinces in Canada to carry out local or provincial policing. Especially in rural communities. I work at the Provincial level and do general duty policing. Respond to 911 calls, traffic enforcement and community policing. That type of thing. With that said, I could easily transfer to the federal side and work organized crime, drugs or terrorism if I wanted to. Hopefully that makes a little sense man👍.

@@DavidWhitten Got to have the 12 Gauge. Not many problems it can't solve. S&W? Cool. Always a little loose and rattilly compared to HK, Sig, and Glock on the semi auto side from my experience, but never had a problem. Had a great little s&w 38 revolver.
