Kyle "Danny" Sakamak of Evil Geniuses was one of North America's most promising prodigies. A talented ADC, Danny found early success on Evil Geniuses and was making a name for himself in the LCS with his insane mechanics, iconic Pentakills, and hyper-aggressive playstyle reminiscent of old-school Doublelift. But when Danny suddenly stepped down from the starting roster of Evil Geniuses after helping them qualify for Worlds 2022, everyone had the question: Why?
What unfolded was one of the craziest scandals in competitive League of Legends history. Mismanagement by the org, a toxic work environment, and outright lying and manipulating a young man for their own needs. Welcome to LoLAthlete, THIS is how Evil Geniuses Ruined Danny's Career.
Thank You For Watching LoLAthlete :)

Unfortunately Nicole LaPointe Jameson made off like a bandit, got a fat check for her role in the mismanagement of the talent and somehow has escaped any backlash. 100% if she was not a black female but a white male she would have been run outta town without a penny to her name. She had the nerve to blame Danny for "Not expressing actual complaints" to the EG staff or management. In her own words "I know people want an apology. But, as of now, I have nothing to apologize for."

As a former teacher and subsequent SPED educator, this could have been avoided if they just drop 4k and hire a specialist care giver for SPED children. Danny doesn't just have autism, he has Asperger's, you can't hold them in the same light as normal people. Something like having the same meal every day might seem like a temper tantrum to normal people, but it's just the way their brain is wired. If the org already know his pre-existing condition, it should be known what would happen if they don't draft up a consistent routine just for him specifically. Everything else afterwards is straight up lethargy from handling a SPED kid so EG start mistreating him because they know he's easy to pushover. Idk the laws in US, but if this happened in Germany, the government and outside organizations would have went after EG hard.

In layman terms, it's the same as asking a guy with no legs adapt to kicking the ball when you're not even providing them prosthetic legs. It's a whole different thing if he hid his condition and it came out later, but They HIRED him KNOWING he had Aspergers. By contract and by law, you MUST cater to him.

I think EG's upper management are greedy and lack empathy but that's pretty much any company tbh. Danny should have been benched earlier, that's on them for not allowing it. He had the money to seek mental health resources which he should have done imo. So my take is going forward teams will no longer take on people with mental disabilities to prevent any of this from happening in the future. It's a business, you get paid to play a video game and if you're the star of the team they expect you to put in the hours to stay that way and encourage the others to do the same. Should they have had people to help him? Yes, however that's more $ so I can understand the business (org) in this point as well. There is a reason you don't see any mental disability players in pro league of legends in LCK LPL LEC and as far as im aware LCS (major regions). It's business they don't want to pay extra when they're already paying players absurd amounts of money to begin with to play a game. EDIT: I know this sounds really harsh, I liked Danny he could of been the best ADC NA has ever seen if he kept playing but the reality is "Real World" Business will always win.

You're delusional and compassionless. The issue wasn't actually that he couldn't handle the pressure to perform, he had the skills, ability, and desire to perform and he showed it repeatedly. The real issue was that the team stopped doing anything to accommodate him in any way and quit caring about their player when he got the MSI result and then began outright mistreating him. Upper management actively and willfully worsened his mental state and then people like you draw the conclusion that he just couldn't handle it and that he was a 'mental breakdown in waiting' when in fact he could handle it if the organization just gave him a little bit like they did at the beginning. They didn't hold up their end of the bargain and they robbed the LCS of one of its best players.

This is a clickbait and inflammatory video. Danny was a great guy and a good ADC but the simple fact is that he didn’t want to keep competing. He quit the same day he qualified for WORLDS! Stop giving NA players a pass to be lazy when it’s time to lock in and compete for a trophy.

This is just untrue. He couldn't function with what the team was giving him, desire has no part in it. He was never lazy even when the organization was actively going out of their way to make the situation untenable. Don't dismiss somebody not being able to function in an environment because of decisions made by the org as laziness; it's way more serious and way more insidious by EG than that.

DANNY was, if I may say this bluntly... Limp wristed. Clear as day, you can see he was a soft soy drinking, stay in a bubble type of dude. He seemed to be gay, and EG I highly doubt did anything wrong. EG wasn't going to "entertain" Danny with his probably "particular" ways and his want's on a day to day basis. This is clear to see.

@@wedmunds You must be of the younger generation.. "projecting much" I've not heard before and I'm 34 years of age. You do realize Danny literally had soy drinking limp wrist's as if he were a gay boy. He talked like a gay boy, and he looked like a gay boy. It's not projection, it's reality?

"he seemed to be gay" is such a weird thing to write LOL. Almost like your subconscious inserted it between two unrelated sentences. I would look inward and do some soul-searching man. You have some shit to figure out.

Mate calm down with the bong and go back to reality as you are one of the reasons the right-leaning people are getting harassed and made fun off.

He needed to be in a team like g2 and right now we would have talk about him like one of the greatest western ad ever, so sad that they ruined such great potential .
