The people who made the Dinosaur King models were probably Tyrannosaur fans. They were able to consistently create almost perfect reconstructions for the time.

Two things I will say; 1. The piece of music they use for Terry when he transforms into adult form, that should be the theme of all Tyrannosaurus’ in paleo media, the Tyrannosaurus March. 2. Dinosaur King’s Saurophaganax, that colouration to me is the Canon Saurophaganax.

I haven't heard anyone doubting the placement of Acrocanthosaurus as a carcharodontosaurid in a long while. Yes, in the past it was classified as an allosaurid, megalosaurid and even a spinosaurid, but that was all before the 1995 discovery of Giganotosaurus and the 1996 re-discovery of Carcharodontosaurus, and our understanding of the carcharodontosaurids as a natural group crystalized in the mid 2000s with the description of Tyrannotitan and Mapusaurus. I think the last time Acrocanthosaurus was suggested to be an allosaurid was in a 2000 study.

All the love tyrannosaurs get definetly showed here with how good the quality of them is, I remember having a soft spot for the Gorgo, Daspleto and Alioramus as a kid. I got to say tho lately the more I look at the design for the Tarbosaur the more it reminds me of the models used for Tyrannosaur and Albertosaurus in Prehistoric Park. Like Im not the only one seeing this right? As for the rest of the fire elemental dinosaurs they really do seem to be a mix bag, Saurophagonax & Torvosaurus continue to be awesome designs, Rajasaur not so much, and yeah it is kinda funny how the skull on the Giga has a siluet closer to modern recons than the ones at the time.

I've been loving the series so far and i have watched every single entry! I've been a dinosaur king fan since i was 7 and i have actually emulated the arcade game and played it and i just wanted some small things: 1. You didn't mention a really weird detail in the arcade and that's metricanthosaurus arm position where one is pronated meanwhile the other isn't for so odd reason? It weird as heck idk why (also eocarcharia is the only fire dino with non pronated wrist just wanted to mention that) 2. I feel like the confusion with wind and fire dinos really depends on when the dino realesed (raja being extremely early and eocarcharia being last fire dino i think?) or they're overall body structure if a theropod is bulky it's fire if it's not it's wind idk those two attributes are really shaky with eachother 3. I have access to every dk arcade model so i could check the abelisaurus arms that or i give you the models... Anyways i enjoy all of these videos hope your having a lovely day! (I refuse to believe dk's rex is good bro got that jp build also apperantly tarbo's skull is almost as wide as rex but don't quote me on that.)

Pretty much any recent study to include Siamotyrannus did not recover it as a tyrannosaur but as some sort of allosaur and one placed it as a basal coelurosaur but not a tyrannosaur. Given its fragmentary remains, it should probably be written off as a nomen dubium, and we already have some confirmed large Early Cretaceous tyrannosaurs in Asia; Yutyrannus and Sinotyrannus.
