"I was doing ice every single day" lol dancer lyf haha
I totally sympathize with all of the aspiring professional dancers out there. I can’t imagine how impossible that lifestyle must be. But I also think there’s beauty in knowing that dancing will always be there, no matter what happens in your career. I went to a fine arts charter school and was exposed to different styles of dance... I fell in love with it but knew the entire time that It would never be more than a hobby. ***Obviously this is just my experience, but it’s all about perspective. Don’t let the pressure of the end game or fear of competition/self-doubt ruin your passion! Dance is a language, and it never leaves you. Be proud of that! And I’m sure you’re all amazing. You inspire me. ❤️✌️
He has something of Nureyev in his face, can anyone else see it? What a sweet, talented young man. I wish him all the best.

As a competitive equestrian, I can really relate to this video. "Between what we think we do and what we really do, sometimes there is a huge gap." And fear of injury, especially after a fall or accident. It takes time and you just have to be patient with yourself and keep pushing through. I really appreciate that these challenges are universal when one is trying to achieve and improve their craft.
I like the first season more than this one

Cindy Cen Me too! I feel like in the first season everybody was friends and it was more fun, but here it's like the competition is too strong for them to establish relationships.
Fun fact I’ve actually danced with Carlos and Maria is now the director to the ballet school I go to

Men are so lucky! Like girls be over here buying a pair of freaking $70 pointes each week, while boys can do with a pair of socks.

I love watching as a ballet dancer myself. When the teacher in the video gives a correction I'll try the move and see if I'm doing it right. Seeing a dancers life from there point of view makes me realize even more how hard it really is
Wow, the father words were really encouraging but also hearing those words can make you feel pressure.
He will make it.

Ariana Brooks Thank you . However ,I can be critical and when necessary brutal with professionals who walk through performances. Ballet is a sacred Art, but one must also have Craft, there is no Art without craft, when you put them together, it's bliss for the dancer and for the audience.
"I am proud to be your father." I'm not crying, you're crying.
THOS ELEGS BOYYYYYYY. I am impressed. They look effortless and thin but they are actual beasts! goals
All of them are truly inspiring! Thank you
Olivier Pardina one of my favorite teachers ever, i love taking class with him

Carlo's parents are so sweet
Started ballet when i was three, had to quit after 7 yrs because of weak ankles, so this is too real for me. wish i was still doing it
I believe he recovered greatly and when it got to the point where he said he was from Cuba I practically scream, because I am from Havana,Cuba too and I born and raised there.😁

meowingwool- how's your foot now? I've just been told not to dance for at least a month, or it will be surgery on my knee. So disappointed 😔
0:46 Nobody: Birds at 7 am :
I was a dancer for 15 years, and I took a master class with Olivier...so. Hard.
luv this
When they dance and land from their jumps, all I stare at is their ankles (also their thighs, but mostly their ankles lol). I can't help but think how much stress they put on their ankles. Personally, I played basketball growing up and remember wearing braces or sleeves to help support my ankles from the lands. But I do credit them with being really good at taking care of their bodies. Icing and all that crap. When I sprained my ankle, I was stubborn and literally only used crutches for a day. Then for the next few months I suffered but walked off the pain haha.
Can someone tell where is Carlos dancing right now? He is pretty good!!! Please?
Love Carlos!!!😭😱🍟

Why did this series end 😢
He reminded me a little bit of Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Lol 3 years later but I dont know if you're Hispanic but I totally related to that conversation. My parents have given me the same one where they say that the day we succeed will be the happiest because it's what they couldn't do. Its uncomfortable because its so much extra pressure since if you fail, you're letting them down too.

how do these boys jump so high?
Where is Carlos Valdes from "Strictly Ballet 2", dancing now?
Is he still dancing? If yes, is he doing it professional?
Carlos looks like a young Rudolph Nureyev
OMG I'm Cuban!!!
he looks so sleep deprived so sad :((
That french accent though
llevo todo el video preguntandome por que carlos y la profesora no hablan en español si esta claro que los dos lo son
Alguien que hable español?
girls have to go through periods.....boys have it better in some ways. but competition for girls is more challenging cuz there arent that many boys
Okay well Carlos is hot.
lmao carlos was such a prick to his parents he literally just chuffed when his dad was crying ?!
Did he say "more stronger"

Could it be any harder for the dancers? They literally dance on the concrete floor, a harsher recipe for injury. Wooden floors would far better element for dancing, it's more forgiving than cement. Students don't give up on your dreams continue to strive for Excellence
@helloooo6653
Жыл бұрын
most dance floors are sprung with a marley surface, it’s often the same colour as concrete which i guess might be confusing
carlos is my new boyfriend
