Another great video 👍 I’ve just bought the same tumble dryer and start to convert my little loo to little utility room. The loo is d65cm/w85cm/h225cm. Now I’m a little bit confused because I have a ceiling extractor fan which sucks the air. Should I fit another extractor fan upside down so it will blow the air or change existing one upside down?

I've got a new one to put on but cant figure out how to get inside the machine, it doesn't have a back panel like the ones in all of the videos I could find, instead the back is attached to both sides so we've tried taking the top off, the drum is in the way, we tried taking the bottom off but got nowhere with that so tried taking the front off but that seems to be too complicated to be the answer. I dont suppose you have a video that Icant find showing how to get into it please?

Hi, Excellent video! mine stopped drying clothes and no heat at all. Thoroughly researched everything available online, torn it apart, cleaned everything, put the condenser on the tub and rinsed it so many times. i even set the first part on fire to eliminate remnants that couldn't go away. End result, the dryer is properly drying the clothes, heat is back on, however, the condenser department doesn't condensate a single drop! Exactly, i have the clothes properly dried and no water being produced. i even took it apart again to check where the water is. the condenser department is completely dry! So any idea what is going on? Thank you in advance

Firstly, I will need your full model number and make, there is no way your condenser is not working if the clothes are coming out dry within a couple of hours of you putting the machine on a drying cycle because the water has to go somewhere, is there any water in the collection reservoir?

  • @g159713

Hi, thank you for your prompt reply, the model is the samsung dv80m52103w/l. There is not a single drop of water on the collection reservoir. i know cause i even took it down again and opened the condenser to investigate it even better. it does work as before, gets the clothes dryed properly within 2.5 hours as before, it heats up as before, the only difference that i have noticed is that there is no significant humidity in the laundry room, something that was the normal before, i guess it should be cause the weather is too dry these days and i have the window open. apart from that, i even checked whether the consenser is cool and the evaporator hot enough, i checked the pipes connecting the bricks to the compressor, i dont know how cool the consender should be, but it is cool. at that point i thought that the cooler fan that is located at the front right lower edge was not properly spinning, took it our and checked it with 12vdc and its running ok. No idea what else could be the issue.@@How-to-repair

That is an exceptionally good question in theory, and in theory only, so I'm not being held responsible for this in anyway. By removing the condenser plate and letting the air come out at the front, you would be creating a vented tumble dryer, but this might only work on some depending on the type of sensors fitted the air would come out of the front of the machine and not need to be collected to go into the water chamber. But if it is fitted inside the kitchen, then you would be filling the room with moist air. If you fitted a plate to the front to vent out through a window via a tube, I can't see what the problem would be apart from the design of the machine with regards sensors, it is not recommended as it was not designed to be a vented tumble dryer, but in theory I think it would work

We have an AEG LAVATHERM 86590IH3 dryer. (Type TC12H6BHP). After normal operation we found lots of water under the dryer! When I opened the filter door, there were lots of water in that area. I have started investigating the pump area at the back of the machine. I have determined with a digital multimeter that the resistance of the pump was about 750 ohm. In one of the videos the repairman mentioned that according to the service manual it should be about 750 ohm. So at this moment I assume that the pump is OK....... Next I will try to check the float sensor/switch which turns on/off the pump. Am I on the right path? Has anyone ever experienced this problem before? (I have not put the machine into diagnostics mode, yet).

  • @paulcooper5330

All sorted. The dryer needs to be level or a little bit sloping to the rear (rear lower than the front). This allows the water to run from the condenser to the rear of the machine so the pump can pick up the water. If it is on a shelf, it needs to be at least level, or sloping slightly to the rear when loaded.
