Basic Tumble Dryer Maintenance For Trouble Free Drying
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I show you how I keep my Beko condensing tumble Dryer working efficiently with some helpful tips on how to de fluff your dryer and keep it looking good. Although this video features a Beko machine, these tips can be applied to most tumble dryers, especially about keeping lint and fluff at bay.

I’ve only ever emptied the water and cleared the lint trap. Thanks for this video!

Same I didn’t realise you had to clean the condenser! No wonder my dryer hasn’t been performing properly x
This was the most informative video I have seen on KZread! Off to clean out my tumble dryer 😬😬
Holy mother of god, that condenser sure had a lot of fluff and lint! Thanks for the detailed video 👍
The shower!? God damn it! Why didn't I think of the shower!? Thankyou some excellent advice
Why does one need to wait until the filter is completely dry to reinsert? Isn't the air going through it when the load starts already very moist?
Thank you for showing me a maintenance routine for my dryer. This will come in very handy.
I take the condenser unit outside and use the garden hose. They need to rethink of a better design so you can actually open it up to clean inside.

I have lay on the floor , to clean mine , and it won't work if it's cold
Thank you. Problem now sorted by following your advice. Well done. I used the showe over the bath to clean the unit and placed a sink strainer over the bath plug hole to collect the gunge.
Thant’s a really helpful video. My tumble dryer is almost identical to this, but mine is far more filthy. Looking forward to give it a good clean.
I didn't know that, but it makes sense and his new AEG dryer looks super easy to keep clean! Thanks for the info.! 😁
a great video and some very useful tips.many thanks.
Thank you so much for the video. I was very unsure 😐 how to clean my dryer with out damaging it. 😊
Really useful. Need to get the condenser on my own hosed through as I've neglected to so far. Thanks for posting. Just subscribed!👍
Thanks for uploading this. I've just got my first ever tumble dryer and was unsure how to care for it. I've got a Candy O'Vita 9kg one. I was a bit dubious about rinsing the condenser block under the tap, just in case I did the wrong thing. But thanks to your video, I've learned it needs to be done regularly. Thanks again 🌟

I rinse mine in the shower but not with me in it if course🤣
Great video Rodger!
Thanks for the tutorial. I was unsure if I could rinse the condenser. Now I know I can ! Cheers
Same machine as mine, great machine, connected to main drain which I like. I’d say this is just as of as Miele (which I’ve previously had) Have to say I’d neglected to clean the condenser and when I did clean it under the shower there was loads of dust etc!! Seems now to dry that bit faster and probably more efficient!! Great review as always Roger.
Only realized I had to clean the condensor unit today. Saw a water stain on the floor probably from washing dishes but reminded me.
Thank you very helpful for me as i broke my filter and your video showed me how to put it back in the right way
I bought a reconditioned Beko and the first time I used it the lights were flashing. When I worked my way through these the filter was like a carpet! The condenser was ok but it's good to know how to do it. Such clear inateuctiins. Thankyou
Brilliant video, thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video thank you very much I used the principles to service my Beko DTGC8001W and it worked a treat A+++++
Thank you so much for this helpful video. It’s very useful information you have given here. Thank you x
Came up recently to find dryer very hot and burning smell lint cleaner and water drainer cleaned after each use Never knew about other one at base of machine Thanks for your instructions and video
Great professional video. Thank you.
Excellent video clearly explained & demonstrated.. Thank you Sir
Fantastic explanation thanks so much!!!
This is really helpful thank you
Thank you your video was really helpful
Very helpful Thank you for sharing
excellent video mate
Wow had no idea about the condenser. Thank you
Great video. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for this. It answered all my questions. Specifically how to reach the back of the condenser filter cavity. Cheers!
Great video thanks very helpful 👍🙂
that was a great help thank you.
Great vid. Love the shower tip. I’d previously used a chopstick - which was nowhere near as good. 😀👍
I have a Bosch similar to your Beko. There is a cover plate midway towards the back that has a pit that collects a lot of the lint also. Just have to reach in and grab the gunk.
When you washed condenser unit in the shower. SOOO SATISFYING 🥰😂
Thanks. Very useful

How long do you leave the condenser to dry before you put it back in thanks

I want to know this too. Does it need to be bone dry before it goes back in.
The dryer I have now lights up to remind me to clean the condensor. Now I realise that I didn't clean my old one as often as I should have. I very rarely use my dryer to dry clothes from the washing machine, I only use it to finish off clothes that are almost dry and it saves me ironing everything, so I don't emply the water every time or clean the filter every time. I had only just given my machine a good clean before coming on here to see if there was anything else I should be doing. I will admit that although I take the condensor out when I'm instructed by the light, I very rarely delve inside the machine, but I did today and was surprised as how much fluff sticks to the sides and collects at the back. Mine is quite difficult to get into though.
Thanks for this.. my dryer stopped heating, bit of a clean and hit the reset and it's back up and running..
Hi thanks 4 video I showered mine and got all wet lol iv done everything now so once this drys hopefully working again just hopeing it not heater
Brilliant thanks mate.
Perfect thanks! We've got the same model and were wondering how to clean the condenser.

great vid .... thanks
great video thx
Thanks mate!
Thank you for video
Thanks for the great video! Is there any way to clean the water unit on the top after having emptied it? Some fluff will deposit there as well. Thanks a ton.
because of my dog I rinse my condensor about every 8 loads. you can sort of tell when it needs cleaning as the dryer takes longer. I just use furniture Polish on my appliances. have done for years. it's like a protective layer. esp on the fridge and dishwasher as it makes sticky finger marks just wipe straight off
Thank You. Cheers Tippo. UK. GB.
You are brilliant
Fantastic video and thank you. Only thing I could not see is how you cleaned the lint off the back of the condenser housing with that long brush. Did you just poke it in from the front and wiggle it around? Where did the lint go?, did you have to vac it out?
HELP! I have a cockroach inside my Siemens IQ300 dryer! there could be more and i have no idea how they get inside that
Thanks, I’ll give this a go in the morning! I’ll leave an edit as to how I got on. Mine is a pretty old Bosch, but all my parts appear identical. I fear I have not been thorough enough in my cleaning over the years especially my condense... 🤔🥴

does the room get humid with the condensor dryer running
the for this , my exact machine has stopped giving out heat and Imtrying to see if I can fix it, any advice plz?
My dryer. Same one to this , had stopped getting warm and it turns but stops then turns then stops. Any ideas what’s wrong? Thanks
We have a candy tumble dryer does the process remain the same
What if you don't have any brushes to clean with?
hmm so I did everything right the first time I tried, good to know. None of my housemates care about anything, so it's up to me to keep the appliances in working condition...

It's good to give your appliances a basic service from time to time, especially tumble dryers where the build up of fluff can be a fire hazard. I hope your housemates appreciate your efforts.
Thanks!
P.S. The car wax a fabulous idea, and it works a wonder on the inside of bath tubs especially fiberglass or plastic ones when new. Much easier to keep soap scum removed. Not that I recommend using soap. Only shower gel. 😉

Doesn't it make the surface slippery.
Hi I have what looks like mould building up in the drawer but the unit is sealed. Any idea how I can clean it please?
I prefer my beko heat pump as it’s more efficient BUT it does need more maintenance as you’ve gotta change the filters and wash them
Thanks, I'm going to try this right now with the condensor unit. I always wanted to know how to get right into it. Question: How do u deep clean the grill filter? (bottom right)
@shifty2755

Rinse it under the tap. But make sure its dry before re fitting.
Amazing
Thank you, this is very helpful.
hate cleaning out the condenser - end up soaking myself and everything thats around. - we are in 2018, by now you would think some manufacturer could invent a self cleaning condenser dryer by now, no cleaning out of the lint filter and no dastardly cleaning out the condenser unit!

Cleaning a washing machine filter is worse
@faithlesshound5621
3 жыл бұрын
@Tom My Bosch Classixx7 is worse. The condenser comes in two parts. The manual shows how to open the flap and pull out the trap, but it does not tell you to pull the condenser itself out next to clean it. And of course there's no mention of the flap at the back of the compartment floor which hides another lint and water trap. You need tools and small hands and ideally a fibre-optic endoscope. Terrible design! I have only recently discovered these things thanks to videos on KZread. I was seriously considering throwing the machine out before that.
Really useful video. I always overthink instructions, so a visual is really helpful. Just been on the floor trying to clean the condenser cavity by shoving my arm in, but I'm about to buy a radiator brush. I actually came online to see if there was any way to get behind the ventilation grid next to the condenser, as mine looks to have a lot of stuff in it, but I can't remove the grid and I can't see any mention of doing this anywhere. I have a Beko DTG700 B - any idea if I'm able to remove it? I took out the screw but it still doesn't seem to come out, so I don't want to break it.

I have the same issue
As what appears to be the norm here on KZread I thought that I would not wish to be the one to "buck the trend", so here goes. That is a very nice tiled floor so can I ask "where did you get your jumper"?

When I do a heavy load on my AEG condenser 8000series it says ERR it is very rare but the reason is beacuse the vents were blocked of too much clothes and I now know to dry a 8kg load
Thank you.
Slippery? I use a tub mat regardless, but wow it helps keeping surfaces easy to clean!!!
Also dont forget to clean the sensors inside the drum behind where the filter is with white vinegar and dry with a cloth probably four times a year.
Done all that and it still won't condense into the tray - had it looked at and they can't see anything - heats and dries perfectly. Any ideas?
My dryer condenser have water around it.. and it's stopped the drum but I can hear the machine going ..
Thank you! Turns out I was not cleaning everything. Let's get that condenser in the shower
I have a beko dc7110w condenser tumble dryer with a drawer at the bottom. It was tripping the electrics so I removed water and fluff from around where the float and microswitch was. This worked well for two months before tripping the electrics started again. I managed to get the dryer working again but only for 10 minutes or so, before tripping the electrics. I’ve also noticed that the dryer doesn’t pause when the tank is full. Could this be connected to the problem, allowing water to go to the microswitch, causing the tripping problem? There’s never a good time for a tumble dryer to stop working, especially with a new baby in the house! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, many thanks in advance

A few checks / *the back of the condenser as in the video a little hose in the bottom /* the float switch & pump at the back- tricky to get to - maybe raise up on a stool for height /* inside the fan Enclosure is a tiny passageway that can block if neglected -even more difficult to access Manufacturers Covert Intention!
Thanks alots
BOTTLE BRUSHES are available at the grocery store usually
Thanku
Would like to ave seen how to clean out the water container that has accumulated lots of fluff and lint inside....[ Beco ]
I have cleaned my beko condenser. How long should I let it dry before putting the part back in?
@ibaisaic
4 жыл бұрын
The condenser does get wet when the tumble dryer is on as it condenses the hot moist air into water, so it doesn’t need to be bone dry. As long as it’s not dripping with water it should be fine.
Should there be fluf at the back behing the condenser unit st the bottom? istnt this what causes fires at the whirlpool dryers? its just whst i read on BBC news now.. fluff behind the heating unit at the bottom. I hava the same beco drier and noticed the fluff there too ( like in ur video) . Any thoughts anyone before i contact Beco?
@ibaisaic

I believe it is fluff building up around the heating element that caused the fires in Whirlpool dryers. It is quite normal to find fluff and lint on and around the condenser, so cleaning it on a regular basis is a good idea as well as cleaning the fluff filter after each use.
how do I clean a miele dryer
