On January first 1914 lord Frederick lugard who was the governor of both the northern Nigeria protectorate and the colony and the protectorate of southern Nigeria signed a document consolidating the two, thereby creating the colony and protectorate of Nigeria,so therefore no any Nigerian man signed any amalgamation, lugard was the perpetrator.

The amalgamation was not intended to bring us to a unitary authority, where one man at the center collects the revenue from one mono product from one region, keeps back as much as he feels for his family and friends, and then distribute the leftover to the sub entities he created. The amalgamation was supposed to be for 3 or 4 somehow independent regions, working hard at their different pace to develop themselves and paying a certain percentage of royalty to the central government. It is working very well in some countries like Canada and UNITED kingdom. Our problem is not entirely the amalgamation, rather it has more to do with greed , laziness and envy as well as the desire to subjugate ( people you are somehow afraid of) with the power of the gun .

Well it’s simple can 2 walk unless they agree? The people brought together especially the Northerners are very different on every level. Hence why Nigeria can never be like those countries u mentioned. The least solution is North and south break up
