I just visited this place on May 31, 2022 and the government has still not deemed it fit to make changes to ensure safeguarding of such an iconic structure in the history of the country. It's a shame.

Deeply, the thought of what went down in that bandit lugard dilapidated structure is no differ for what Nigeria constitution now comes to signify.

Fredrik Lord lugard will ever rest in peace for the amalgamation of this country called Nigeria.

Where it began = where we are today, every where jagajaga.

The building is just the exalt situation and sample of the country call NIGERIA.

Safe the building for historical facts, keep the artefacts and high time to change the name Nigeria to another name. Africa government lack maintenance.

To be preserved. Tourist attraction. Local government should not wait but give it to individuals to invest in renovation.

I pray that the lifes of all the One-Nigerianists will be like this in Jesus name.

Do you know the kind of atrocities that happened in that premise?. The slavery, torture,rape, abuse, separation of families, killings,maiming forceful amalgamation.

We don't have value as a people and as a nation,so the deplorable state of the house has shown clearly we don't exist anymore,the effect of the edifice is prevalent now than ever,but time will tell if can still stand because the symbol and the model of our existence is weak and broken.

If you guys think what the British did was wrong then let fix it by going our separate way period, I’m tied of all this Big Big English 😡

The real aim of the amalgamation is only to serve as impediment to success of the south but many people up till now do not understand that.

who do you think coined the other names that have no meaning in the local dialect!.. Certainly the europeans. Names like Opobo, Bonny, Biafra or Biafara or Biafada, Lagos, Calabar, Brass, Sapele etc.
