David is one of the few food vloggers that is always looking out for Trini food (my favorite cuisine as a Filipino American). Thanks David for bringing attention to this extremely slept on food.
Now I’ve got to visit Houston! I live both in Toronto, Puerto Vallarta and born in Guyana. I appreciate all your uniqueness in your food travels. Keep on bringing all your travels
You can see David’s eye sparkling when he reaches Indian stall!
Texas has the best Asian food in the US. People don't even realize it. There are tons of Southeast and South Asians living all over Texas. They even have the Marugame Udon chain from Japan there, we don't even have that in NYC.

Maybe Indian food. But Southern California has a lot more Asians in Garden Grove, Irvine, and LA. I’m willing to bet SoCal has better Asian food. I’d bet y’all have better Indian food though

@@compsigh9275 Nah, volume doesn't guarantee quality. All of the best chefs could've moved to TX. Also, Indians are Asian (Continental nationality not ethnicity).
Never apologize for speaking Spanish. I’m happy that I can speak it and understand it. But don’t apologize. I just love it.😊 living in Fort Myers Island. Always excited when I can encounter others who can speak Spanish because I don’t do it often unfortunately. Coming from New York where there was so many Spanish individuals. I miss it. Thanks for sharing David.
Houston's food scene is definitely underrated. You can find just about any food here-Texas BBQ, Cajun/Creole, Soul Food, Tex-Mex, Mexican, South American, Caribbean, West Africa, South Africa, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai/Lao, Filipino, Malaysian, Indian/Pak, Eastern European, Mediterranean, you name it! 😋
Thank you so much for visiting Houston David, this video is so great. I am from Houston and am so happy you visited. You can live here for years and try something new every day lol! Please visit Austin and San Antonio as well, they are amazing cities as well with incredible people + the beautiful Texas hill country (Please go to New Braunsfels to float the river and try the German/Czech food, also go to Canyon Lake if you have time!!) Would be so cool to see you explore more of Texas especially the hill country, its beautiful. Thanks so much for coming to Texas you are one of the best food youtubers ever my friend 👍💯
Houstonian here, we are the BIG APPLE in the south in terms of DIVERSITY
Hi David I enjoyed watching your visit to Houston. I think the owner of the breakfast club should have worn gloves when he prepared the food. Touching too many things and touching food at the at the same time. Just my observation. 😮
David you are so fortunate to meet such lovely restaurant owners and workers. The food looks amazing at each place.
Awesome video David yummy food I enjoyed watching this video ❤
Hey David. We have never been to Texas. Think it’s time 😂. That catfish is calling me 😋😋😋. David I’m watching and enjoying. Thanks so much 😋😋😋
Hi David...don't know much about Houston...so a I'm really interested in viewing this one.....would love to visit too...As always Thanks and safe travels...Peace.
1:04:58 David watched all your Houston videos and love it. Glad you enjoyed your stay in the place I call home. That nem you ate is like a pork ceviche. It’s raw pork that’s kinda cooked by lime though she kept on saying it’s fermented. Many other Asian cuisines have it too including Vietnamese
You are the king of pani puris!!! 🤘🏻👑 Mannn, the added whip cream, so curious about that taste!!!! You totally killed it in Houston!!! Adored the chef at Breakfast Klub, he was the sweetest!!! And yummm, birria for breakfast 🔥 This video got my head in a whirlwind of deliciousness!!! Naanchos is epic!!! And Lao food is sooooo good, nice and super spicyyyy 🌶 And Venezuelan to end it all YUMMMM!!!!! 🤤 You’re living THE life as always! I always heard about the amazing variety of foods there and i love that you did this 💜

Gar Wing Cheung! Thank you so much my friend!
When you come back, you have to try the Oxtails at Houston's flagship soulfood restaurant called "This Is It". AMAZING.
That eyebrow raising to the camera tho 😄😉😜😝
You will also find grits or mieliepap in South Africa where it is a staple with everything especially boerewors (special kind of sausage). We would call what you are eating there 'slap pap' ...sorry, wouldn't know how to translate that 😂, maybe 'soft porridge'. Go to South Africa and try their food, you will love it!
You stopped at Tierra Caliente! My favorite - but I usually get lengua and barbacoa. Looks like they moved. Didn't know they were by Black Hole.
@50:53-50:55 😂😂
1:13:55 | Just want to mention that the dish you had is Pad Kee Mao and not Pad See Ew, they look similar but the flavor profile is mildly spicy/savory vs the latter which is sweet and umami.
Sound real good to me
Thanks!
I live in Houston and need to try the breakfast klub!

Houstonian here. Diversity has our crime levels off the charts, but at least we have a lot of food options
Nobody does chicken mango fried rice. Lol. Idk where you be getting this info from but sometimes you be generalizing the whole people. They are Laos/Thai-Issan not Thai... So when you say Kop Kun Kup (Thai) it's thai language but for Laos/Issan Thai it's Kop Chai. Just think of the language in Venezualuan vs Columbians. Similar but different.
you said you can handle the papaya salad, "it's my favorite dish from thailand" LOL...she told you, "THIS IS LAOS STYLE!". Man you gotta know the difference. lol. You truly act like a know it all but whatever.
Fatra
Unwatchable I have an add that pop each minute of the show... Literally sometimes not even a minute passed by and another ad pop. It's sad because I tap and i'm out.
i wouldnt say diverse, i would say segregated in a hot sticky mess of a en environment.
