Houseplant Update | My String of Hearts
Hey Plantaholics! In this video I talk about one of the most popular houseplants today. The Ceropegia Woodii, also known as the String of Hearts. Definitely one of my favorite houseplants I’ve cared for and own right now. I often get a lot of questions about how I care for my String of Hearts. So here is another houseplant update video all about my string of hearts where I cover everything from the history, watering schedule, lighting, soil, propagation and general questions asked by some of you fellow plant lovers. Enjoy

I've had my first string of hearts now for 18 years. First got it when i was 12, first house plant and now i have 42 plants, another on the way :D
Attempt #2. lol. I'm sure those that saw this video earlier noticed my little editing hiccup in the beginning. hehehe. My bad! Here is the video again, hopefully you still enjoy it again and comment and like away. :)
Omg one of my favorite plants! I'm shocked I dont see these in stores more often because the grow like CRAZY & propagate about as easy as a pothos
Your string of hearts is not a string of hearts it's a freaking CURTAIN of hearts hahah :)
That is the BEST String of hearts ever. And so WELL BEHAVED!...not a tangle in sight. {My guys take note} ..If I move them they tangle just to be a tease.
I finally got my hands on one of these 6 weeks ago. It has grown over a foot since then!
I have a Southwest facing window and my string of hearts cuttings literally started rooting in water in a few days... such sun lovers! Hope my babies end up as big as your plant!!!
I never knew I needed this plant until this video. It is absolutely gorgeous
Love your videos! I’d love to see you do a pet safe (non toxic) plants video if you haven’t already made one. Show us all the pet safe plants you have. ❤️♥️❤️
I bought my first string of hearts today, hopefully it ll grow well.
Wow, it has grown so much, it's almost touching the floor! This plant is definitely on my "want list". Thanks so much for sharing Christian, always enjoy your videos!
My SOH is a girl 👧🏼 your guys is gorgeous, they make plastic water catching trays specifically for hanging pots, they hang right on the pots edges, best invention ever!
It’s so beautiful. I literally got into plants like a week ago but seeing him in all your videos really has me wanting one. The thing is I feel like that plant is for more intermediate or advanced plant people. I feel like I gotta work my way up to it. Plus the $$ 😬
I propagated alot of s.o.h recently... funny thing is they kept slipping down inside the jar.... after trying over and over to get them to sit half emerged I gave up and put the entire of the strings in the water completely. They kept growing even though they were not exposed to the air..... instead of 2 nodes each string developed huge root nodes the ENTIRE way across the stems.... meaning each stem had about 8-10 nodes. They literally went berserk!! I couldnt believe how much better they propagated being fully submerged instead of emersed I will definitely be doing it that way in future 😁💚
FI was here in Winnipeg looking for a string all over, Finally find a florist in here, ordered my plant yesterday and it came today, it's so beautifull
Fun fact that not everybody knows: Plants grow from the tip not from the base. So the more mature leaves he talked about would be towards the base of the pot!!
I was so scared that my string of hearts was curling although it was growing..now i am at ease..Thank you..it was super helpful💚💚💚
Fellow Torontonian. Thank you for this video. Now I can propagate my string of hearts and make it more full.
I just bought a variegated one for £15 at the plant stall on the local town market! It's about 2ft! But not nearly as plush as yours is! I'm totally in love with it 🥰
Thank you , I’m going to give this ago . I’m down under in Australian. So when you say to place in a south window I refer that to a north window . I get confused often so I hope I’ve can get it right ,cheers , Jennifer
