Houseplant Update | My String of Hearts

Hey Plantaholics! In this video I talk about one of the most popular houseplants today. The Ceropegia Woodii, also known as the String of Hearts. Definitely one of my favorite houseplants I’ve cared for and own right now. I often get a lot of questions about how I care for my String of Hearts. So here is another houseplant update video all about my string of hearts where I cover everything from the history, watering schedule, lighting, soil, propagation and general questions asked by some of you fellow plant lovers. Enjoy

Love your videos! I’d love to see you do a pet safe (non toxic) plants video if you haven’t already made one. Show us all the pet safe plants you have. ❤️♥️❤️

It’s so beautiful. I literally got into plants like a week ago but seeing him in all your videos really has me wanting one. The thing is I feel like that plant is for more intermediate or advanced plant people. I feel like I gotta work my way up to it. Plus the $$ 😬

I propagated alot of s.o.h recently... funny thing is they kept slipping down inside the jar.... after trying over and over to get them to sit half emerged I gave up and put the entire of the strings in the water completely. They kept growing even though they were not exposed to the air..... instead of 2 nodes each string developed huge root nodes the ENTIRE way across the stems.... meaning each stem had about 8-10 nodes. They literally went berserk!! I couldnt believe how much better they propagated being fully submerged instead of emersed I will definitely be doing it that way in future 😁💚

Fun fact that not everybody knows: Plants grow from the tip not from the base. So the more mature leaves he talked about would be towards the base of the pot!!

I just bought a variegated one for £15 at the plant stall on the local town market! It's about 2ft! But not nearly as plush as yours is! I'm totally in love with it 🥰

Thank you , I’m going to give this ago . I’m down under in Australian. So when you say to place in a south window I refer that to a north window . I get confused often so I hope I’ve can get it right ,cheers , Jennifer
