My situation is so similar. Homelessness with my 4 kids, domestic violence, and losing everything but nature and my plants are my escape. ... I have a collection of plants that have brought me through depression so I return the love by caring for them. ......and I'm a realize too🥰😍. I'm glad I saw this.

This was a great plant visit. Yes. Growing and nurturing plants is healing. If I did not have them I don’t know if I would have made it through the Pandemic here in NYC. We were completely shut down. But, I made it and so did my plants. All 108 of them. Thanks Summer.

Even lettuce calls to me. I am just working on summer plants for my balcony and decided to do a pot of lettuce along with my many fuschia, coleus, tuberous begonia, etc. I put a little green romaine and a red romaine plant in my cart the other day, but found a cheaper 6 pack of red and green leaf lettuce and returned the romaines to their shelf. After going home I regretted not getting the red romaine and returned to the store the next day for it. (Ok, and a few more plants). Those were the last two of their kind, and as I walked away I felt bad for the little lonely green romaine and turned back to take it home too. I gave away 3 of the leaf lettuce to a neighbor and have the other 3 plus the red and green romaine happily living together in a large pot on the balcony now and don’t have to feel plant guilt over leaving one behind! 😆

Awwww! She has such a beautiful soul.....I can totally feel the peace and good energy that surrounds her.

I don’t remember how I ended up on your you tube channel, but it was to me God sent and you inspired me with your plants, for the most part your telling the story of your homelessness which I too can relate, how you rose back up is phenomenal. What a Great story.

As a British person, I can say that her British accent was very sweet. It was like a British accent with hints of African or Carribbean.

If I can find a lady like this.. who loves plants and a smile.. OMG.. What a great time..

I love everything about this! How she turned her life around for herself and her kids after living through domestic abuse and homelessness, how vivid and bright she is, and how her plants are absolutely thriving! I saw way too many plants tour where the owner has 200-400 plants but they are all half-dead for lack of proper care. Her whole home is LUCIOUS with happy plants everywhere!

You guys work well together! I imagine you could be great friends, off screen. As a British chap, I was REALLY impressed with Niyya's accent! So many are exaggerated pastiches but that was a straight-up good copy! She could easily pass for a British person - they are looking for a new James Bond at the moment: time for a Jenny Bond?

I just love this young woman, her beautiful apartment, and her plants. So many apartment tours feature thousands of tiny plants that aren’t as vibrant, healthy, and attractive as hers. Her arrangement of them is just lovely. Love the sheer gold and white curtains, love her dress and earrings. This entire tour was not only informative, but a joy to behold. Thank you.

This tour is one of my favorites now. Niyya has the purest energy!

This was such a nice video, her plants are so beautiful and healthy. I found that my plants really flourished during the pandemic. Her sanctuary is so peaceful and pleasant which matches her personality.

Visiting another home garden, inside apartment in big city, is inspirational. You shine the light on others and like plants, they grow. Flourish, flower.

Niyya, you are a true inspiration: from getting over and through your past to creating this amazing space. House plants are not easy to take care for, they all require something slightly different but its truly therapeutic to see them thrive. At least for me, its so rewarding to see my plants healthy because I'm doing something right for them and the benefit they give back is immeasurable.

So why in the last few minutes of the video I got teary eyed 🥲 such a beautiful video💚🌱💚

When I moved into my current house last September, the owner left me a few plants. One she left in our bathroom had no tags and I had no idea what it was. Now I know I have a ZZ plant! I am happy to burst your bubble about the poinsettia. I had two that my Mom kept trying to finish off in the snow. They were almost bare branches, they had white flies, their pots were way too small. I kept hauling them back in, washing off the white flies with soap, water and tissues. They grew up to look like small trees. A bit over 4’ tall and almost as wide at the bottom. My Dad kept them when I went off to school. He put them in the basement for a month or so in winter and they would bloom each year. Beautiful, happy plants.

Adam's fair acre Farm is one of my favorite places to shop. You are right the customer service is super nice and respectful. Thank you for giving me the motivation to take better care and interest in my plant, especially the cactus plants.

I did a bit in gradschool on plant therapy with a group of clients who were resistant in taking their medications. These were folks who had emotional challenges and needed help to be able to function in their daily living.

Wow! What were the results? I am a retired nurse who actually worked as a cna in a large urban correctional facility while on the wait list for nursing school. While working in the infirmary and clinic, I was noticed by by the staff of the psych department, who liked my calm demeanor and way with the inmates. They asked me to come and assist with some patients in the psych unit who were resistant to eating and taking their meds. These people were severely mentally ill. I was mostly successful, and it would have been more rewarding had the unit not been so depressing and the officers had been better educated about their charges. But, I am picturing myself traveling from cell to cell with a couple of beautiful, lush plants lashed to my body and chatting with my patients. I am sure they would have been intrigued, to say the least.

Beautiful home and plants. However, can we talk about how infectious Niyya's energy is?
