The police officers on the video are response officers who respond to every 999 calls from the public and are the first to arrive at a scene of a crime before other police departments such as Roads Policing units, Firearms Units, Dog Units, Public Order Units, CID etc.

They probably couldn't have sent a worse pair of officers to that flat....

@@pixies64 it's actually because they only sent one car because they didn't know what was going on. When they arrived, they entered without backup because people were screaming and cursing at each other. People could be in trouble. They call for backup as the enter, and when they get in a scuffle in the apartment, they rush the backup along. Backup couldn't afford to come to the apartment if it was nothing because they'd have to stop covering the streets, so they waited until they were actually needed because of an escalation. Waiting outside for backup could have led to deaths, and the lack of funding means they need to go in alone immediately. They don't play anything up for the cameras because they're the police. Law and justice comes before TV drama, they don't need to stage anything. This is real.

Have you ever been surrounded by people, all screaming and shouting, one actively resisting you? Not knowing if whilst you struggle with that one person, you are suddenly then going to be booted in the back of the head from behind, and knocked unconscious - then meaning your colleague is now on their own, with an unconscious colleague and a flat full of drunk and agitated people, severely outnumbered. I'm not surprised, had the others in the flat been more aggressive they could quite easily have been fighting for their lives...

The exemptions apply to trained police drivers regardless, the lights or siren do not have to be activated to make use of any of the exemptions in respect of speed, contravening keep left bollards, or treating red lights as a give way, the only requirement is that it is done for a policing purpose.

Yep, there were several people I was told not to serve Stella to when I worked in a pub over 20 years ago! Only problem was it was a bikers pub although they behaved better than the Gary Lager lot. They self policed the place, rarely trouble and if so sorted quickly.

Years ago there used to be a group of men who'd gatecrash parties thrown by middle class teenagers when their parents were away. They were big guys and obviously when the teenager throwing the party told them to leave and they'd refuse, there wasn't a lot he, or the others who were invited, could do about it. Also reminds me of the spate of parties advertised on Facebook which resulted in hundreds turning up! Stuff was trashed or stolen and eventually the police would have to break it up. It would cost the parents of the middle class teenagers a fortune to repair the damage.

This is what it used to be like with my neighbour every week. It used to wake me up out of my sleep.

Everything has a limit. I am now convinced alcohol is worse than cigarettes.

I'm not an expert by any means, and i wouldn't want to do the job this lot are doing, but the main focus surely should have been de-escalation so you can get to the bottom of things, instead the bloke officer got what looked like a little pushed and decided to escalate immediately and get physical in response, even though the aggresive guy was heading away from him further into the flat. Probably a poor decision or reaction to the physicality of the one dude.

People can behave just as badly drinking expensive booze it's not the brand it's the person drinking it.

I called the police in essex with the same complaint. Essex police told me to call the council. On a sunday at 11pm.

That lady cop wanted the guy to stay on the street with the random couple and head up there on her own? Weird decision, would have been a lot worse

Great officers That quick responce times! Round here none of the police hubs are manned 24/7 if you need a police officer between the hours of 6pm - 8am you could be waiting hours not (single digit) minutes!
