What makes this even better: HotD is written/produced by Ryan Condal. He was working prior at Amazon Studios, developing a Conan-The Barbarian series which was cancelled before it went into the pre-production phase, by Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios. I guess it had too much ''toxic masculinity'' or something... She's in charge of RoP and that abysmal WoT show too. So, he quit Amazon & went over to HBO. This is basically a big middle finger to Amazon.

HOT D has some issues to be sure but overall it’s not even close! Rings of PRIIIME is only tolerable as an entity because of YOUR REVIEWS😹.

It felt like the Rings of Priiiime trailer had a lot less dialogue in it than it had last year, and also a lot less dialogue than the HotD trailer. They may have learned that it was not a good idea last time, to put "you have not seen what I have seen" or "There is a tempest in me!" in the trailer.

Race swaps for no reason are always stupid! Espeically jarring since in every universe one can have the actual ethnic groups...in the World of Ice and Fire there are black people the Summer Islanders, one of their princes Jalabhar Xho was an exile and guest at king Robert Baratheon's court in the book! Minor character but the Summmer Islanders are the 'black people of the setting' to go for....similarly in other universes...in the witcher the only dark skinned people could be potentially from Ofir and Zangwebar from overseas,...not the imhabitants of the northern realms or Nilfgaard....the games did it much better with introducing few ofieris and so on, than this horrendous tv show of netflix race swapping every few characters ughh,....or Lord of the Rings....all they needed to do was have the HARADRIM characters...it would be so easy...but noooooo they have to race swap specifically white folk!!!!!!!!!!!

As a huge fan of the asoiaf series I've been reading the series since my senior year of HS 05/06 I'm still so disappointed in HOTD changes to source material that weren't necessary and especially the blackwashing of house Velaryon but still much better than Rings of Prime

Watching the trailer from Rings of stupidity is like watching a 5 year old being very drunk, trying to explain special relativity. The explanation is a fast rambling and the only word you get is wig, but special relativity will remain a mystery. The trailer from house of Dragons is just that, a trailer convincing me to watch a series.

Interesting comment on the character looking like Elric. You know, thinking waaay back now, I do recall first hearing about GoT & reading it thinking that the Valyrians and their sorcerous ways with dragons was clearly a rip off of Michael Moorcock's Melnibone. However, now I think of it being more a nod to it than a copycat instance. Also it's hilarious that even with the liberties that HoD has taken it is still considered a much better show by far than RoP. The ratios, that's gotta hurt. 🤣

I’m going to watch the first season( I was waiting for the second season to get close to release) but you only need to look at the dialogue. One is written with tact, maturity and clear command of character. The other ROP is written by elemental school buffoons who think they are clever but actually aren’t. And their fans are those who only care for superficial spectacle and not any substance.

Truth be told, i will not watch either of them. So tired of the "racing" swaps, and both of them had a lot of it. Rop is worst because it damages the work of Tolkien...and after some of the latest declarations of Martin I lost all the interest on him.
