the rhaenyra-daemon scene was incredible. love that we’re having these incredible dialogue scenes. also, I fully broke into gasping tears with how the duel went down. devastating

Can’t give enough praise to the casting directors. Last season with the incredible work in the age jumps. This season the castings paying off big time with some incredible performances

Agreed, it's one of the first times it actually felt like one cohesive story told mainly about characters we've come to know and care about.

Totally with Mallory on that final fight. Totally worked for me. I have no clue who was who and thought one part of him taking his life was to know that he would never be able to completely convince anyone of his true self. I found it truly compelling.

shoutout to CR's "Father, son, 'holey' dragon" comment about Daemon, Aemond, and Vhagar at the end there that flew right past everyone.

by far my favorite episode of the show so far - the pacing of this season is so much more deliberate and immersive and it’s leaving me more invested in every character as a result

Er Christopher, the guy called "cheese" has to be the rat catcher!

I strongly dislike the change they did to the B&C incident, HOWEVER they(the showrunners) did a great job with the twins. IMO the reason I consider the dance of dragons to be the best storyline in the history of ASOIAF is due to incidents like B&C or the twins fight. It was such a tragedy for the brothers to fight that a song was made for them called farewell my brother. So far B&C poor change might be the only outlier this season if all the great moments that are yet to come are treated like the battle of twins. And they are doing pretty good job of foreshadowing the seeds thus far as well.

Nah I think Cole is better written, Ramsey was a 2 dimensional straight up evil person, just the worst, and Joffrey was insufferable. I like that Cole is a common born fighter climbing to whatever station he can get to, and sees himself as the good guy, very toxic and more interesting to me.

This show is whack a mole for the “book reader” complaints. I have read f&b, but understand this is different. People want the show to stay faithful and also complain when they don’t expand enough. The twins are not major characters but they have this standout moment. Hard to find air time to make the audience care. I think Daeron should have been mentioned last season, seems like it should have been simple enough. It can be tricky to avoid the tell me exposition dialogue
