get rid of Eden. he's cringe. Every woman would be very upset and afraid for their child in meghan's postition. 6 months old. smoke inhalation, will it happen again, move to a new room is it safe etc etc etc..

I do not know why anyone is offended over the move by the Cambridges to Windsor. It is ridiculous that anyone is saying the optics of this move is in poor taste as the country is dealing with the current cost of living crisis. They are not doing any renovations to the home in Windsor. It is considerably smaller than their home at KP. This is a DOWNGRADE, and they are not taking all of the staff with them. This move brings them close to the 96-year-old Queen, as well as to the school that all 3 children will now be attending this fall. It is much closer to the Middletons, as well. It also allows the children much more free and open spaces to move about with much more privacy than they had in London at KP. They lived at KP for 9 years and had their 3 children while there. They are also not abandoning their home at KP, either. They will still be there quite a bit, as their base of operations. The renovations done for their move into Apt 1A, 9 years ago, were renovations that had to be done no matter who would be living in 1A, because it had not been lived in nor updated nor did it have anyone living in it since Princess Margaret. This is nothing at all like what Harry and his wife did with Frogmore. They went 2M over budget for added luxuries, knowing full well they were leaving. Kensington Palace is not going anywhere. Amner Hall is a summer home and was a wedding gift. The move to Adelaide Cottage is not a selfish move, at all and it is in fact quite the opposite.

It makes perfect sense for the kids education. W & C want their kids as day students not boarders as he was. It will be for a short period in their lives, and I think after the Queen passes, W & C will move to Windsor Castle. As for Meghan, she is a drama queen and, as always, made it all about herself.

They're being good parents who want to do better for their children. What is so hypocritical is that Charles has been raked over the coals for years about his supposed lack of parenting, which was highly exaggerated. And, now William is not given credit for making a decision that benefits his children and allows him to drive them to school and pick them up?

Meghan kept interrupting Serena and we never heard anything from Serena. Post podcast, no one is talking about Serena. I hope this is a head's up for future 'guests' that the podcast will not be about them, but rather Megopause talking about herself while degrading the Royal Family.

Do they carry an armload of cash in their wallets and handbags to catch the ice cream truck? Probably not. LOL But the only thing I've seen carried inside the Queens handbag was a marmalade sandwich. She told Paddington Bear she carries her own. LOL did you see that video during the Jubilee celebration? If you haven't you should look.

American here. The podcast was once again targeting Royals. Her ambition is zero sum meaning that for her to win, the Monarchy has to lose. Another’s win is her loss which is intolerable. Few appreciate that style of ambition no matter where you live.

I absolutely agree with Richard Eden. I see nothing wrong on the Cambridges using a house on the estate that isn't otherwise being used. If they'd paid for a new huge mansion, completely different. And it's a modest house for the RF!

I miss Diana. William seemed to have the emotional strength to recover from her early demise but Harry continues to search for her. Unfortunately he chose a self absorbed, egotistical and lazy woman as his wife who hoodwinked him into thinking she possessed some of his mothers qualities. A recent picture of Meghan Markle as a young girl with pictures of Princess Diana taped all over her bedroom walls gives one the creeps. It’s like she saw Harry as a mark and the RF as the way to make her famous.

Putting your children and the Queen first should be praised

The UK and the greater Common Wealth are dependent upon the relationship between Katherine and William and their children. So, whatever keeps this family happy, healthy and safe is the only thing that matters. This little family is the future of the Royal Family and anything they deem necessary to grow and prosper is their personal decision. Keeping the children safe, happy and healthy is the number one priority.

It is contemporary thought that children’s education is not determined purely within the education system. Catherine is an advocate for early childhood development. This is not purely academic and is put into practice with her children. I went to boarding school at four and a half. I recall looking at my daughter at that age and was appalled at the practice. I am so happy that Prince William and Catherine are hand on parents educating their children in home life, public life and academically. The move to a suitable residence at Windsor seems appropriate.

Your talking points are nonsense. The Cambridges did not go out and buy Adelaide Cottage, it is already part of Windsor Great Park.

I am not sure what the fuss is about. The Cambridges didn't go out and buy a new property, they weren't splashing money about. These residences are already in existence. Kensington Palace is their London base and where they and their staff carry out the administrative/business side of their duties. Anmer House is in the grounds of Sandringham and is their get away place. The house in the grounds of Windsor isn't even big enough to allow the nanny to live in. They relocated to be near the children's school so they can attend as day pupils as opposed to boarders which is actually saving money. Also Jo, Diana may have danced to Duran Duran but Anne was there before her. When she went to see the musical Hair, she climbed onto the stage with others and danced along.

Mm began her show with the lie debunked by Tom bower about the dish soap and then she ended with a new lie about a fire in “a housing unit “ - American speak for slum social housing. It’s appalling no one ever calls this out.

Yes I totally agree. Here in Australia the word “housing unit” brings to mind public housing units for ‘people on low incomes’. I don’t believe for a moment she did not realise how rude and insulting that sounded to the Governor General and the people of South Africa. She should be ashamed of herself!

I’ll listen to the show only if paid a copious amount. But do you mean to tell me that she had SERENA WILLIAMS on the show, the girl from Compton who broke barriers, won numerous trophies and is considered one of the greatest players ever, and they mostly spoke about the d-list actress whose greatest accomplishment was to entrap an idiot prince?

I did find a transcript, and even THAT was nearly impossible to get through, even though I did not need to listen to all the cooing, purring and gushing as they schmoozed with each other. Her lie about the "housing unit" they "had them in" and Archie's room being on fire was just outrageous, not just a tall tale but horribly insulting to everyone in South Africa. Predictably, it set the headlines on fire all over the world as media everywhere took it as gospel truth and gave it the worst possible spin. Once again, the frail, vulnerable Princess in the Tower, cruelly dominated by the Evil Queen! She also had to one-up Serena's story about her daughter breaking her wrist, which must have been horribly difficult for her to share. Any other interviewer would have said something like, "Oh, you must have felt so badly about it, but accidents do happen, you couldn't have prevented it, and it was NOT your fault." In other words, an empathetic person would pay attention to the pain and vulnerability Serena had opened herself up to. Instead of that empathy and reassurance, it was, "Hey, that's NOTHING. Wait until you hear what THEY did to ME" (expose their four-month-old royal heir to mortal danger, implying he narrowly avoided being burned to death). Even worse, nothing actually happened to Archie, whereas Serena's baby suffered an (ACTUAL) broken bone. Is there any limit on how low this woman can sink? Is there a bottom to this wretched swamp? WHY must she keep slinging mud at the royals and making everything about her?

Yep, there's film footage of Charles apologizing for Diana's absence and besides, she was carrying the future heir at the time. There are other royals who cancelled local events or parts of overseas tours. William couldn't even show his face during the debut of his Commonwealth tour. I think it all depends on the palace staff who advises the royals and since Archie was safe, someone most likely encouraged them to go. Meghan did but what new mother wouldn't have concerns over their baby's safety? It would have been a great time to exercise her so-called bullying way out of it.

As long as Archie was left in good hands and Harry agreed, there shouldn't be public outcry or any concerns outside the Sussex's household and in addition, how do we know the baby wasn't with her. I don't recall any American entertainment gossip detailing the Duchess's itinerary and Archie whereabouts. Also, the royal homes seem to have nannies on hand to assist when necessary. Bottom line, there isn't one strict rule for royal mothers (post Princess Diana) or non-royal mothers world-wide.

Its just not the royals who carry out their duties, mothers and fathers do this all the time, how many times have I picked my sick daughter from school took her to doc then went back to work. She is ridiculous. Everyone cuts middle aged Megan too muck slack. Privilege at its best.

Back in the day, Charles was picked apart for cancelling engagements after his sons were born. The Queen was trashed for putting William and Harry before the nation after Diana died. Then there's the flip side that they attended engagements instead of putting family first and they were criticized. Talk about damned if you do and damned if you don't. People will criticize no matter what they do.

I dont remember at all that the Queen was ripped apart for that reason. I remember the media not understanding we hadn't heard a single statement from the Queen and that nothing was being done, as it usually would have been, if a royal dies. The country wasn't really pleased by that. She did talk after a while and the flag went down and she got a official funeral. BUT I did also hear nice things about the Queen putting her head down out of respect during the funeral.

@@missJolie85 the British people were very vocal in their outrage that HMTQ did not immediately return to Buckingham Palace from Balmoral, where she was focused on PW & PH. I personally lost a lot of respect for the British populous at that time. They came across very vocally as being totally self-centered and unwilling to understand that HMTQ was a grandmother helping to take care of her grandchildren in the wake of the devastating loss of their mother.

@@ketinq8 Well that’s your take on it. I dont remember it had anything to do with William or Harry, because everything we got for many days were total silence. So I disagree with you on that. With other deaths it gets handled pretty much immidiately. She has a whole support system running that does these things for her. She could have set those in affect and still had her focus on William and Harry. No statements at all were made before 4th of september, and that statement was mostly made to express hos sad they are that they are accused of not caring. Same day the Queen relented regarding the flag at half must. I dont think it was so much so that nobody saw the Queen, or that she choosed to stay in Scotland, but more so the total silence for days.

This "fire" thing wasn't even an actual event, but something which MIGHT HAVE happened (even though Archie was nowhere near it). Serena's story was about her daughter suffering an actual broken bone, a real injury which she felt terrible about. But MM seemed to think HER story easily trumped Serena's. It also demonstrates her uncanny ability to collect grudges, filing away the RF's so-called slights and cruelty so she can pull them out and use them when it suits her.

Given that on that tour Nutmeg whined, "No one asks how I am," I am surprised that we have not heard the story of the fire before now. Surely if she was that traumatized, and unhappy that she had to "carry on," she would have talked about it previously. It would have been perfect fodder for the ridiculous Oprah whinefest. I'm American and even heard on the news that the Adelaide Cottage is the family home for raising the children going to school while Windsor is currently the business address with several hundred engagements and associated activities, eventually living long term at Windsor. The Cambridge family is becoming better known to Americans and greatly admired. Harry was for the most part of interest in the US as Diana's son, now living in Montecito doing what wealthy, poorly educated, folk do, living off his family. Meghan did not fail to understand the royal family, has the UK not grasped that to date? Meghan got the title, got the jewels, got catapulted into celebrity, get off appropriating the work of others, what a shame the press seems to bumble around in the dark. Oh, phooey, fire my (censored), anything for publicity including using Archie.

I'm not British so I'm a bit confused, where would the houses go? aren't they royal residences? They would likely stay within the royal family and if rented out, the money would still go to the royal family. It would be pointless to pretend to be broke.

The Queen has Castles!!!! Does it make her tone deaf too?! A lot of rich people have several properties.

I was interested there was no credit given to Cambridge move to Windsor, as being close support for the Queen. I live in New Zealand and my first thought when we heard about the Adelaide Cottage move, was the Queen would have reliable trustworthy family support, close to her, very important at her age of life. Prince Harry said he was concerned that the Queen had the right sort of people around her, and in my one eyed view 12000 miles away, she now has. When Charles becomes king, he won't have to worry about family squatters in Windsor Castle, the Cambridge's could upgrade and move in. As for what I consider Republican headlines about the number of properties Prince William now has, look at the other wealthy families and celebrities in Britain, a few homes both at home and abroad, a private jet service, a yacht at the marina etc, so why pick on the royals just because they are public figures. I do like the presenter of this program, Jo, I think she gives a balance to the interviews, does, her homework and allows the guests to present their views with little interruption, not a natural skill for many in the same position.

It's more economical for the Cambridges to move near the Queen & cut back security costs. The kids will be near their school. It's a brilliant move.

Didnt you guys (the British press) once called Kate and William lazy when they spent more time with their kids a few years ago? So what if they have more than one house too,? We have multiple properties, of which one is an inheritance, does that make one a bad person?

Trouble is once she married Harry, her ambitions were halted. She couldn’t go any higher, get promoted to a more senior role, like queen for instance. Could she have become the most popular and influential member of the Royal Family? Yes, if she’d worked hard at it. But that’s not the prize she’s after. Being popular isn’t enough. Status is what is important to her, and being subservient to Catherine was never going to happen.

Major difference in how William and Harry handle the legacy of their mother. Grow up Harry you're not still that 12-year-old little boy. You can't blame every experience on her death. When you listen to Harry and Megan try to be victims of some of the things they come up with people like myself are disgusted. So many of us have actually had bad childhoods and lives and still get up every day and handle life. There is nothing interesting about Megan at all and nobody would be asking to hear her voice if she hadn't married Prince Harry. And Megan has very low morals and I'm not talking about being a yacht girl.

I hate the way Harry makes out he’s the only son. William was her rock yet Wills stays classy & down-to- earth.

Diana was very young with a great sense of humour but she was always emotionally immature. Harry and Meghan are just trying to cash in on her popularity for their own financial benefit and status. William is trying to make a difference for his family and wider society.

I’m American. We understand that when you have a job you’re expected to work, even when you may have personal circumstances occurring. Sure, if it’s an illness traumatic event, etc, time off can be extended; however, it may be without pay. We don’t receive special compensation. The child was fine, not in danger, and Serena made a good point, if she was so concerned why didn’t she take Archie with them to the engagement. Not buying her story.

MeGain highlights her letter to Proctor and Gamble as if it was one of the main events of her life. How many times have we heard it now? It was her first experience in curtailing free speech, and she never got over it. Now, as an adult: she wants to censure free speech and freedom of the press on a global level; this may come from an early childhood experience in which Thomas Markle gave her undue credit and lied about the letter from Hillary Clinton, as well to instill this grandeur sense of importance in the making of this monster.

I love this program! As usual this program was interesting and entertaining. I enjoyed the comments of all three of you. The guys were well spoken thank heaven. Sometimes there is a guest who wants to take over and be the star that day. Even then I love the show. But more when the guests talk more quietly and share the spotlight like today. 🙂

Wonderful episode. I especially loved the Queen and Diana's relationship segment and the balanced discussion. Ending with those personal photos was a perfect ending. Well done.

As always, I loved the episode, Jo. You, unlike the Duchess of Dullness and Delusion, know that when you are interviewing someone it’s usually a good idea to let them speak and, God forbid, listen with some semblance of interest. According to a British journalist who was on the tour with them and there was no fire. A heater started smoking and was unplugged immediately ! She had to know she would be fact checked. It was the same with the "housing" that was actually a mansion with beautiful grounds and security. And as for the "ambition" The Queen wanted them to basically run the Commonwealth !!! Meghan didn't have enough ambition to take that job on !!!! Geez ! I mean she really has no shame ! Even Serena asked her why she didn't just take Archie with them after the incident and Meghan cut her off....Hhmmmmm ?????!!!!!

I love that the British people seem to be very family orientated. Meghan left 4 month old Archie in the UK and flew to watch Serena in the US Open right before the SA trip. No worries about leaving him then.

Didn't Meghan "opt out" of an event mid event at that Market visit on the same tour? Nothing stopped her at that. She made all this up IMO at best she took some small incident and she embellished it. She misuses the term "archetypes", just like the word "guttural" - but she misused it as THE TITLE of her wretched podcast. She had 30-some producers helping her with this, but no one corrected the clanging error of an absurd, misleading and awkward title. Everyone is still afraid of her.

Seriously. She must be some kind of potent nut job to pull off her intimidations of seemingly everyone. Maybe there is some revenge in making her look ridiculous as she often does but she just doesn’t seem that formidable to me that she conjures up so much intimidation among staff who work with her. Someone please stand up to her. She’s a weak and insecure bully underneath whatever threatening bravado she puts forth.

I know right? She confuses archetype with stereotype and they are completely different words. Carl Jung would cringe. Her use of words made me realize right away this is not an intelligent person anyone should be listening to.

@@jilla.1246 I think those backers are going to be taking a different view very soon..wouldn't be surprised if they jump ship sooner than later. They cannot keep supporting those two, because everything they are doing I'd failing terribly..

Yes, I didn’t learn anything about Serena. That’s who I wanted to listen to.

It's coming through that the podcast with Serena was recorded 2 yrs ago. MM states 'here in Canada'. It is claimed she updated the beginning & end to the current time.

@@louisetitterton507 I haven't listened to the podcast and am only going by comments from others. They did say that more up to date parts were added @ the beginning and end. We will have to keep listening to find out how true it is.
