71 and totally agree. Women have the same opportunities as men and it can be easily seen. She doesn't even consider that the head of the royal family is a women and the next prime minister might be too, but they have to work and take appalling criticism, something she can't take. Her seductive voice is creepy. Maybe she should do a bit of history and see how far women have come because of real ambition!

75 year old here. In the early sixties I wrote to Guide Dogs enquiring about training the dogs for the blind. They wrote back to say only men do the training and girls are kennel maids! I should have kept the letter. I couldn’t listen to THE podcast. Meghan talking over Serena and trying to say her situation was worse really set my teeth on edge and the mumbled, breathy talk with long pauses doesn’t make for good listening. Nope, not for me no matter who her guests are, she wont listen to them anyway so we will miss out on any interesting topics.

My biggest issue with the feminist narrative that says "let's be strong women", is that they're insulting generations of women who came before them, and lived in much tougher times. My grandmother was born in 1911, worked since childhood to help her parents and siblings, then went on to raise 5 children with her husband. A solid, loving marriage that lasted for 60 years. She dedicated her life to serve others, selflessly. I call that strength. She's a true role model.

I too was taught by Immaculate Heart nuns. What they drummed into us is that we had a duty to God, family and country. This was an invaluable blueprint for life and one she clearly hasn't followed.

The definition of Feminism has changed since June 4, 1919. My Grandmother was about to turn 2. What a feminist is today, what it represents is so different from 💯 yrs ago.

If Spotify would have waited until they see the quality of this podcast they could have saved a lot of money.

I come from a very macho country, I'm just 1 year younger than MM, and at school I was a feminist (an old fashioned one, I just wanted equality of opportunities). I studied hard, I was the best student and I was respected for that. Even the machos knew I was their superior intellectually. So, even in a country which is far more macho than the USA, intelligence and hard work was equally respected. So I don't understand why MM continues to speak as if she suffered from sexism. And let's not talk about how everything she achieved in life, she did it through men: her father, her boyfriends, her husbands. In my book she's the complete opposite of a feminist

Brits welcomed MM with open arms when she first came to Britain. I don't think MM looked further than the big royal wedding beamed around the world. After the wedding she realised living in Britain following all the royal rules was not for her so she and Harry legged it to the US. If she admitted it the Brits would be more forgiving but H & M have tried to blame the royals and Brits rather than admit the real reason for leaving the royals and Britain.

Markle introduces a question or topic then chomps at the bit to tell Williams her "one-up" example, her personal story and Williams is SILENCED. And the shallow, dolt PH's contribution? He likes Williams's hairstyle. HAIRSTYLE!! How MM and Williams didn't take him to task for wasting the opportunity to ask a meaningful question in connection with the series title is... is... well, it is Sock Puppet "H," afterall.

My wife put herself through college, didn't miss a day of work as a nurse in 5 years, went back to school and became a nurse anesthetist, all while being a dedicated wife and wonderful mother. She's a real feminist, cause she thinks for herself, can support herself (and our family) and if her plate wasn't already full enough, she started a skin care (botox, lip injections, etc) business on the side. Not once has she looked for any recognition or praise, it's just who she is and what she does.

Speaking of smug and out of touch, when Megyn calls something smug and out of touch, it’s probably a good product. She knows smug, but not integrity. 🤷🏼‍♂️

As I listened I did not sense Serena was showing off how great she was too. She was kind of trapped into the narrative Meghan was attempting so hard to frame. Meghan would put words in her mouth so many times. It was so irritating I couldn’t finish listening. And when someone says, “your traumatizing experienced traumatized me,” that’s someone searching to be the victim.

Imagine claiming that she never felt anything negative about being an ambitious woman until she married Harry when his grandmother is the Queen of UK and most respected woman all over the world and her aunt-in-law is the likes of Princess Anne. Both very ambitious and hard-working women. She would have done well to shut up and learn from them.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with ambition so long as you're prepared to climb up the ladder through your own efforts and determination. Being ambitious does not mean sleeping your way up the ladder with rich men and marrying them.

She confused Ambition with Social Climbing, disrespecting elders, disrespecting cultures and history. Then it is a dirty (few) words. Ambition is a good thing for everyone, old, young, black, white etc. She needs to go back to school.

No problem with ambition, but this person is a climber and a user. Succeed on your merits and your effort. And for goodness sake appreciate the many things others have assisted you with along the way.

Since I saw the official engagement interview I began to question things! Comparing it with William and Kate's engagement interview, one sees clearly the marked difference of characters - Kate was emotional, candid and modest and looked to William for confidence which he gave. Markle on the other hand took the reins, was over coolly confident, offering slushy sentimentality delivered in that syrupy-toned soft voice, that she tends to use when she hopes it will convince people how sincere she is!! Unfortunately for her many don't quite see it that way!

I was an early "feminist warrior" back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Markle is completely out of touch with her "Archetypes" podcast. Women have made tremendous strides over the years. Ex. I was the only female in two semesters of Political Thought----135 males, all wanting to go to law school or to grad school. Years later I instructed that same two-semester course, and the number of females outnumbered the males by a substantial margin. Avenues and careers that were closed to woman now see them succeeding and thriving. Markle is completely out of touch with reality. Anyone listening to her spouting garbage must be desperate because her podcast wasn't entertainment in the least. Rather, it was a self-proclaimed glorification of narcissism at its worst. Shame on Serena Williams and the other personalities who have agreed to appear with Markle. Serena got to the top by talent, drive and focused determination. She didn't use men for sex in her climb to success. Markle's focus on self, me, and I will eventually be her undoing. I'm just surprised that the world has not erupted in mass rejection of this woman and her lapdog royal manchild. Whatever they do is an epic failure, and I can only hope that her greed and need for constant adulation and acclaim from the public and media do her in.

This podcast is so outdated and insulting to those of us who have worked since the 60's and 70's to promote the rights of women. Also, her "now husband" has a Grandmother who is a wonderful example of a woman with ambition. The Queen worked as a mechanic during the war, brought together the Commonwealth, raised a family, had a successful 70 year marriage, kept her country going during good times and bad. Megan can't hold a candle to her or any other of the many women who provide for their families, are engaged in community service without bringing photographers to record it, and who take care of ill and elderly family members with kindness and respect. Go home Megan and take care of your children and make peace with your Father and do your fair share of helping with his care.
